PyroFierceDeity it died if you’re a scrub. It’s hardcore community is actually thriving. In fact in japan we just had a multiple tournaments in major cities leading up to a national tournament and it was amazing. Just because you quit after a week doesn’t mean other people did.

The only thing that's stopping me from buying is that the prices never go down the switch is still really expensive standalone and games like Mario and Zelda are $80 even though they've been out for a year.

valid, I'm no smash player but when I get them one I'm buying the switch for mario kart, oddysey, zelda and being able to play in public (ish) at cons, at friends' houses and at school. It hasn't even been half a year since bought my PS4 Pro either.... (which I bought only for rdr2 (storymode) detroit: beocme human, spiderman and horizon, neither of which I've completed or more than played for a few days.

I am actually. Getting my sister one for Christmas with super smash bros but Idk how well the switch works online for that game.
I got the Switch about 2 months after it came out for my birthday, and I'm so happy I did. To this day it is my absolute favorite console, even beating out the Wii, the Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, and Playstation 2. All those consoles have wonderful memories for me, but the Switch has revolutionized gaming. It's completely rejuvenated my love of gaming, and I'm excited for what the rest of 2018 will bring.

I travel every month or so for work. The idea of having the Switch on flights ALONE was enough for me to finally buy one. The biggest surprise for me has been how much I use it when I'm not traveling, it's a solid gaming experience with an incredible year 1 lineup.

Vibe melody: Actually, it would be 360 plus tax, lol. And that's not even that expensive. I bet people pay over $2,000 for a PC just to play ONE game. So yeah, still worth it.

It can get pretty expensive really fast, I bought one this week and here is the breakdown of what I spent not counting taxes: N-Switch: 300$, Pro-controller: 60$, 128gb micro SD card: 40$, Mario Odyssey: 50$, Mario Kart 8: 55$ (I found deals for those games, but can't say it was much of a saving), Star Dew valley on e-shop: 15$. That's a total of around 520$... My low end pc which is about as powerful as a PS4 cost me 470$ in comparison, and I frequently buy AAA games for 10$ or less on STEAM. I love my switch, but console gaming is definitely not cheaper and can get as expensive as PC gaming (especially with Nintendo titles as they keep value) ... except maybe at the moment because of temporary GPU inflation.

Tiago Fonseca I do as well, but the dock partially melted the adhesive on my first one. Albeit, I think it may have been because of my dock sleeve heating it up. I’ve been hesitant to use the dock ever since. Maybe after I get a few more screen protectors I’ll test it out in docked mode.
the dock sleeves are a bad idea cause they block the exhaust and intake of air, and they heat up the console. I believe Wulfden even made a video about it.

you dont NEED the pro controller, ive had my switch for close to a month now and i rarely take it to go. The joycon grip is actually fairly comfortable, dont let the look fool you
Codeman yeah. You also don’t need the licensed pro controller. I bought an off brand one and I thought it was just as good or better than the 70 dolllar one for only 25 bucks.
Codeman my left joycon constantly breaks down and disconnects from the switch without pushing the button on the back. Had to buy the pro controller the joycons are overpriced but cheaply made
I bought a switch with a pro controller this week... when I realized I had to keep sliding those joy-cons on and off every time I docked it and play portable, I immediately ran back to the store to get the pro controller. I enjoy putting my controller down and grab it from the dock to lay in bed and play some more, without the hassle of taking off those Joycons. I saw those 25$ wired controllers mentioned above, I might pick one later just to have a back up in case 3 friends come over and want to play Mario Kart. I love how you can split the joycons and have 2 controllers right there. :D It's my system though, I call dibs to the pro controller at all time. :p

Yato did you get it? if you haven’t you should pick it up because despite odyssey and botw being my first Zelda and mario games, they’re one of my favorite of all time. On top of that, dead cells, hollow knight, shovel knight, Mario kart and sonic mania are great games despite me not every playimgna sonic.

Honestly, I think the Switch is better than it was at it's launch. We all knew we were gonna get great games like Zelda, Mario, and even Sonic (Mania, not Forces), but I think we didn't expect it to be this good. I personally believe that the Switch is a must have console. Plus, I'm just waiting for the new Metroid and Pokemon, so of COURSE I have a Switch. I never got the chance to buy a Wii U, even though there were a FEW decent games on it. But I think that's a good thing. Nintendo really pulled this out from under the rug, and I love it.
its launch like literally any console launch was god awful.
dead pixels on screen, the cartridge slot wasn't recognize the games, corrupted data saves, sound audio would be randomly screeching, loads of system crashes, the left joy-con would keep desyncing half the time. still the system warps in shape from being heated in the dock while in TV mode.
I just hope they don't abandon the 3ds cause some games are not available unless you mod it. Capitalism right now is not working with all stores closing in favor of Wallmart etc., online becomes a hassle for this stuff of loyalty fan base intellectual properties that need sales expert support. I mean this is not some washing machine, Tv something where you either throw it away or bother with electronics person. Most just go to college as a result no one is bothering with it, there are more you tubers than actual salesperson that personally I think should be retailing and treating consumers physically even just 3 days the store is open a week is fine than the current nonsense just put it on a wall-mart. You can actually milk this stuff many times over instead of just putting it on a shelve. Without some sort of Texas paramilitary probably from Korean G.I and those mandatory Korean military draft just imagine what would happen to Starcraft, E-Sports would not exist. Unfortunately the switch is most likely going to leave the 3ds behind even the 3ds pokemon sun moon just blew me away how much more the new pokemon coming even the zelda and the super mario version of the switch just makes the one in the 3ds like from the stone age. That's what happens when great minds merge, those triple A titles with their programmers and tech pairing with artist produce such a awesome pokemon sun moon game. From those pixel pokemon to the current one, even diablo 3 is coming to the 3ds. Not only from the tech side of stuff but from the franchise and marketing view this is one win win situation and this is where fan loyalty comes in and hopefully those triple A studios will still retain their name even if they get absorb by the superior fan based franchise like Pokemon. The more companies the better, triple A studios should not close down there is no reason why they cannot be like those Indie Studios that serve as game developers to a stronger brand. The Switch for me a normal person like me makes the computer irrelevant since you can turn your tv into a computer to watch all those anime and movies. Bad thing about the Switch is that its not hacked and probably takes a few or 2 years and with such a powerful system its not possible to get tempted not to hack it, imagine those videos why would you not watch videos on it.

the switch is a disappointment for me, too few games, i don t care about inde games, i didn t buy a switch to play steam games, and the huge lack of multiplayer game is another big disappointment.
Nintendo cant develop alone all the good games? so far, only their games are good, they should develop their abilities to attract major game developpers and even deal with them for exclusive games.

I love my switch, it’s so relaxed. Ive got my PlayStation set up downstairs but I find comfort in knowing I can take my switch anywhere easily and play Mario Odyssey. The switch takes away any previous restrictions you’ve had with your console. It’s also opened my eyes to different games I wouldn’t usually look twice at. In conclusion I would highly recommend the switch, the games are good and the practicality of it makes it worth the price!
I got a Switch, and for anyone who is on the fence about buying one, let me put it this way. The Switch is that one gaming system you realize you can't live with one, once you have it. I have Mario Odyssey, Skyrim and I will be starting my new Splatoon 2 game on very soon when I have time. It is worth every little penny. Yes it has its flaws, as Bob says, but the pros outweigh the cons so much, that you will not care, I promise you. Happy Gaming!

I got mine about a week ago. If your gonna be traveling i highly recomend a case for it. There around 15 dollars at a gamestop comes with a screenprotector, earphones, a microfiber cloth and a clip to clip it onto a backpack. Seriously. Go get one

Might get a switch with my pay check this coming month I think! Also this is 3 weeks old but Smash 5 was confirmed for the switch and so that completely changed my mind about the system! So not only will there be a Mario,Kirby,Zelda, and Pokemon games, but there's also a Smash 5 which I'm super stoked about. The 3DS version wasn't that great as I thought it would be but I'm hoping Smash 5 will be awesome! I also saw your other videos on the Switch. This'll be my first console that I've ever bought by myself with hard earned money so that's awesome. I'm probably going to be buying the Switch for the Smash and Pokemon release(stoked about the new Pokemon line of games since Sun and moon were last 3ds releases) TLDR Smash 5 game is going to be amazing so stoked.

I was one them that couldn't get my hands on switch until the holiday season. Places like Bestbuy and wal mart had them on back order for months. But to be honest with you, ever since I got it back on black Friday of 2017 I really haven't turned on my Xbox except for just handful of times to watch a blue ray movie. The switch is my favorite console of all time! I'm new to your channel but you have some great stuff out there! Looking forward more content! Have a good one and see ya on the next vid.

I'm someone who mainly plays on PC and PS 4, recently got a switch and I'll say I'm loving it regardless of the 720. Yes.... I love Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong, plus the portability, when you have 2 kids you really need to get those extra minutes somewhere to play from time to time.

I dont know. Its still very prizey going for 300€ here in germany plus 60 for each game (mind you coming from pc thats really expensive) I just want to play Smash and Metroid to be honest... really hope it drops in prize sometime soon
I’ve owned a PS4 for a few years, and just finally decided to get a Switch. Main reason? Super Smash Bros Ultimate. But I’m really enjoying Zelda while I wait. Your videos are awesome for a new Switch owner! Lots of good tips and accessories videos. Much appreciated!!!

Good idea @Freddie Sotelo I have friends that bought a PS4 last year & all they have is complaints after transitioning from Xbox360, they don't give a fuck about online gaming so they always want me to bring my Switch over to play local multiplayer games. They're going to buy a Switch now. I refused to buy a PS4 as it's too much of a financial commitment for something that has far less diversity in terms of use/play. Plus most games are online required & I couldn't really care less about cross-platform shooters unless they're fun being played offline like Wolfenstein & DOOM. Although I want my inevitable GTA ports. In all reality it's a much better console in terms of longevity & versatility. But if you prefer online gaming then definitely go with Sony. Also, coming from another aforementioned Microsoft user? FUUUUUCK XBOX.
I'd also like to mention that because I own a gaming laptop it prevents me from buying another home console as I can get pretty much all the decent games on that rig anyways. Hence why the Switch is so special aswell. Because my laptop may be portable, but it ain't anywhere near my Switch. Those split joy cons GIVE SUCH COMFORTABLE POSITIONS YOU CAN LIE IN WHILE GAMING OMFG
I have a gaming laptop but it does take awhile to unplug everything pack it all up. That is why I love my switch.

I've been someone who has owned far more handheld consoles than home ones; for that reason, the Switch is a very nice move forward for me because it's something that I can really choose what I want to do with it. It's sheer versatility is impressive too, and even draws a lot of games to be placed on it. A year and nine months into this consoles lifespan and I can confidently say that this is a fine console, and now that I finally own one since Smash Ultimate, my killer app of interest, is finally on it, I will be doing a lot with this thing.
I’m getting a switch basically since my younger and older brother are always on my Xbox One. Plus you gotta love the Mario games hehe.
When I'm out on a roadtrip and just start playing a game of Fortnite or playing skyrim or playing one of Nintendos amazing Ips all I can think about how much of a masterpiece this console is.
Not to be mean but I play my PS4 more than my switch after Mario I bought Zelda and I’m glued to it until my switch battery dies
The only thing that’s kept me from buying one are the lack of IPs. I feel like 90% of the library of games are ports of older games. Odyssey and Mario+Rabbids are the only two IPs I care about (maybe Octopath), the rest I already have. I do love portable gaming and I still use my 3DS to this day, but I’m going to wait either for more original games or a price drop.
As someone that hasn't played most of those ports, I think it's actually better to have that option around. There will be more IPs coming in the future (that may or not be good) like Town, Bayonetta 3, main Pokemon, Metroid Prime 4, Smash Ultimate, etc.
I think the Nintendo Switch won't have price drops anytime soon considering the WiiU didn't get one for the longest, even being a dying console, I think you may be better up buying a bundle since those special edition consoles usually retain their price (or even go up in price) if you take good care of it.
99% of consoles ever aren't even 100% worth it till they're in their 2nd or 3rd year tbh. Because even with great launch games (which this console had), most consoles don't start to get a lineup of amazing games till they've been out long enough for companies to develop new games for them. I've had a Switch since day one and if I didn't have one already I'd buy it now. It's even MORE worth it now than it was at launch tbh. People keep saying "Oh the consoles gonna be dead after a year or 2", that's not even close to being true. It's still selling a shit ton of consoles and it's worth it more now than it was before because it keeps getting more and more good games. By this time next year it will be even more worth buying a Switch than it is today. I'm already starting to get a backlog of games I need to play on the Switch because so many good ones are releasing on it, and I'm still waiting on: Dark Souls Remastered on it, Super Mario Party, Pokemon, Okami HD (I never played the original), Smash bros, new Yoshi game if it's good, Shovel knight DLC, and probably even more unannounced or ones I'm missing. Point is, if you haven't bought one yet, buy it, like today. Most games online are starting to get crossplay with PC/Xbox now too, so it's a great way to play with your friends who didn't get a Switch yet.

I take road trips very often... The switch has me excited so I can play in the car or on the bus commute.
I want it mainly for BOTW and Odyssey. I'll probably play a bunch of the other indie games.
My birthday is on March 31st and I'm considering asking for one.. Particularly because of the Smash 5 reveal, and just hearing so much about Zelda and Mario. I also want to get Arms and possibly Splatoon 2. (I think there's animal crossing on the switch, too, which I definitely want to take a look at...) All I'm worried about is how much use I'll get out of it, and how much longer it'll be before nintendo jumps ship to a brand new console. Would now be the perfect time to get a switch, or should I just wait for the next console release?

Calf Oh it'll be several years until Nintendo shifts gears to another console my friend, the Switch is just barely a year old and has already outsold the Wii U, so they'll want to stick with it for a good while. Not to mention games like Zelda have plenty of replay ability if they do switch to a new console sooner than we all think
I don't like games like Destiny or Call of Duty. Nintendo games are WAY more consistent and actually fun. Games that are incredibly realistic both visually and mechanically are oftentimes boring for me. Fun and relaxing is exactly what I'm looking for. That's why Nintendo is superior to every other gaming company imo. (Although, PC is still the best in terms of game selection.)

My birthday is tomorrow. I pitched the idea to my family and they seem cool with it. Let's just say I'm really hoping that by this time tomorrow I'll be playing Super Mario Odyssey or the Legend of Zelda on the switch. :-)
I am happy it is working out for you guys and Nintendo... Nintendo is different and this industry needs different. Mario and Zelda just were never for me... I know, I know... blasphemy :D We all like different things though (I did own Nintendo consoles when I was younger, NES/SNES... fondest old gaming memories are of Contra on the NES). I just hope the rumors of a new Vita/Sony Handheld are true as I would love a new and better one from PlayStation.

I purchased my Switch just before Christmas of 2018 and I'm having an absolute blast with it! I can't believe I waited this long to experience Breath of the Wild and now with Ultimate finally released I'm getting a ton of mileage out of this little gem of a console. I'm also looking forward to playing Odyssey and many other fantastic games. Definitely worth it.
I've ordered mine with Zelda and Mario Odyssey and it'll arrive in a few days. The last console I bought was the PS3 which was back in 2007 (PSP in 2008 if you count handhelds) so it's been a while! I haven't been this excited about anything in a long time and I've had a big break from gaming on the whole for the last few years so I'm hoping it's worth it, which I think it will be :)
I wasn't a fan of the wii or the wii u,but when i first saw and learned everything i could about the SWITCH i was not only impresssed,but i nearly fainted when i saw everything you can possibly do with the nintendo SWITCH,and here is one out of the many great facts about the switch that i can do with the SWITCH FOR example supers mash bros ULTIMATE.When i saw the latest nintendo direct on 11/1/18 i was more hooked on the switch than ever before and i'm playstation gamer.
