I want to see Nintendo get back to the "Nintendo" of it all with the software on the Switch 2. The Wii and even WiiU and 3DS system software often felt very fun to interact with and theme, whereas the Switch has only had the same two black-or-white color options and single row layout throughout its run.
Spot on; I love my Switch with all my heart, but it really lacks personality in the UX department, something that the Wii and DS systems had so much of. I really hope they bring the Nintendo charm back to the UX too, not just to the hardware.
The Wii software felt like it was for toddlers and the sounds where annoying AF, the stupid Mii looking like the 1st crap version of Meta. Take off the nostalgia glasses and see it for what it was
@@mattfisher1916you do remember the Wii wasn't initially marketed for gamers, right? that's why it was like that, and it's one of the funnest home ui's I know!
6:22 A dual screen design is among Nintendo's patents. It would make the next console capable of porting games from the DS & WiiU as well as the 3DS if the top screen is 3D. I don't get why some people think this idea is ridiculous or unrealistic. Wasn't the DS rumoured to have a second screen?
My 2 cents: I bet Nintendo doesn't say anything about the Switch 2 until Jan/Feb next year with a release in May/June. I don't know what Nintendo has to gain by announcing it now. But they could cannibalize holiday sales of the original Switch if they do.
I kind of get it, but I also kind of don't get it. Which sane person would buy a brand new switch this late in it's lifecycle? I mean, it's not an expensive device, so there probably isn't anyone holding out for it. Maybe some impulsive buyers will grab it over holiday seasons, sure. But it can't be a huge amount of sales. Also wouldn't it make sense to cannibalize the sales of an old device? Your new device is what you want to sell, any original Switch sale is a sale of Switch 2 you just lost. It might be technically good in the short term, but long term you want as many users on your latest device.
If the Switch 2 is fully backwards compatible then they won't be cannibalizing anything. In fact it would put extra value on Switch 1 titles that would otherwise start to wane in sales with the aging original console. They could possibly beef up a select list of Switch 1 titles with a Switch 2 next-gen compatibility patch that would improve their performance for that device. Think something a la PS4 Pro patches. I know Zelda and Pokemon would benefit from that greatly.
They tweeted about as much earlier this year. It was random and without much fanfare on their end, so a lot of people missed it. Not to mention it was only announced on their JP twitter account, if I remember correctly.

The rumored screen size is 8" not 8.8". Not sure where that is coming from. Also 1080p is more than enough for an 8" screen. I don't really know where this "this isn't impressive" talk is coming from either. Do you expect Nintendo to build a cutting edge ROG Ally X?? This device is going to be around $400, of course it's not going to compete with any Windows handheld. 12GB of LPDDR5X is also very good. That's more than the Series S. The base PS5 and Series X have 16GB.... Really weird saying "last gen's tech". It's going to use fast UFS 3.1 storage which is 2100MB/s, the LPDDR5X ram is rated at 7500mt/s. Both of those right there are BETTER than the current Steam Deck
Yeah I don't get the tone of the talk, of course Nintendo is gonna use somewhat old hardware, it's not a windows handheld where people buy them at 700$, dude is talking like the usual for console stuff is the best available hardware atm of the launch lol
@@rayanrodrigues5688 I don't even think this stuff being "older" even matters. It's still good stuff. If this was "last gen" stuff, it wouldn't be using a UFS SSD and RAM that's better than my 2 year old GPD Win Max 2. Now, it's completely possible that these leaks are completely false but right now that's all we have to go on and this stuff is actually good.
I’m more surprised that he keeps saying Nintendo uses old hardware at less of its potential. Like, huh? No? They’re specifically known for pushing hardware PAST its potential. I don’t think he’s cooking here.
The problem is that y’all are looking at this from the perspective of it being a handheld console when it shouldn’t be. If someone never uses the switch undocked (because why would you, it’s a worse experience than playing docked), they’re gonna view the hardware limitations of the console being portable as a negative
@@kyallon1213 But the Switch IS a handheld... Just like all of the Windows handhelds.... the Steam Deck..... They're all built to be portable battery powered devices. Not stationary 160-200w machines
15:46 What? yes, the shipping data for Switch 2 listed on Famiboards by LiC and Luigiblood, does have T239 listed, the same 1536 cuda core (3 times more shaders than steam deck, likely running a little less than half the clock in portable) is in deed the chip.
Honestly, nothing that has leaked is what I'm personally interested in comparing between the switch and a switch 2. As others have also said, I'd be unreasonably excited if we got a fun UX again, and I might physically explode if we got a streetpass replacement.
11:52 If the Switch 2 does end up supporting 4K, I can think of only one man who could get their game running at 4K60: Masahiro Sakurai. The man has a history of pushing hardware to their limits; Smash 64 running at 60FPS when only like 4 other N64 games could do the same. Kid Icarus: Uprising is a miracle that it runs on 3DS with barely any slowdown. Smash Wii U runs at full 1080/60, which a good number of Wii U games did not. Same thing with Ultimate.
@66kaisersoza and games are cheaper, with plenty of storefronts to choose from, mod support, cloud saves, and free online component, and the ability to emulate everything from the first Switch backwards. Honestly Steam Deck and Ally are a bargain.
@@TatsuyaWow yeah even on the switch theyre charging us to play a handful of emulated games, other handhelds like the steam deck dont have this limitation
Personally, I think the price point NEEDS to be competitive. $300 would be perfect, but $400 also wouldn’t be an insane asking price as long as we get OLED!
10:50 Switch 2's RAM is 12GB, but it's 11GB for games, in comparison PS5 has 13GB for games. With the higher assets and resolutions, Switch 2's RAM actually makes sense as a way to cut costs so this thing isn't $500.
Especially since the switch won’t be running a heavy handed OS like Linux or Windows. Consoles can dedicate more hardware to the game unlike something like the ROG Ally or Deck
@@syferz399$ is pretty low of a price for the power the leaks are offering... Handheld parts are much more expensive than the standard ones. Remember that Nintendo sells their console for a profit unlike Sony and Microsoft.
I like that you can. hold one Joy con in each hand by your sides - this is absolutely amazing for anyone with shoulder issues. For me it means being able to play for hours pain free if I want as opposed to being in pain after 10 minutes with a standard controller where you have to hold your hands close together in front of you.
I understand the comparison to similar hardware like the Steam Deck or ROG Ally, but I think people forget that those audiences don't necessarily share an overlap. People buy Nintendo consoles to play Nintendo games, and most of their audience likely has little interest in those other systems, especially at their comparative price points. When looking at the rumored specs compared to the higher-end devices, of course it's a little underwhelming, but if you compare them to the Switch, the RAM itself is a MASSIVE upgrade. The original Switch had 4GB OF RAM, so the jump to 12 will make a bigger difference than it's getting credit for here. I like that we're getting a bigger screen at 1080p and bigger joycons. For handheld, that's all I could've asked for. I got my Switch back in 2017 and never upgraded to OLED, so I personally am more than ready for an upgrade. This is coming from me, where I use the Switch as my main gaming peripheral, but I'm personally very excited for the full reveal and release of Switch 2.
If I don't get to have my _entire_ switch catalogue on the Switch 2: Electric Boogaloo, I'll consider that the last nail in the coffin of video games, swear off of them forever, and go live in the mountains with the bears.
Look up Cory Doctorow's enshittification. Nice things get progressively worse over time. We can't have nice things because that would cut into the profit margins of the filthy rich. Nintendo has a pretty good rep, but they're not immune to capitalism.
When the Switch launched they said they couldn't make it backwards compatible because it was a brand new formfactor. So this time it should be backwards compatible. If it's not then that will give me pause. The Steam Deck has decades of games for me to play and Steam is still getting new games. The Switch has some of my favorite games, but if the Switch 2 doesn't have those then what is even the point?
@@TheDuzx I'd believe that they had the excuse with the switch, but that doesn't hold up for Switch: The Second. I've made my peace in buying switch/epic store/gamepass(?) games a second time, because I never thought I'd get a Steam Deck. It is what it is. At this point though, at least personally, Nintendo is _directly_ competing with Valve for my money, and I'm sure I'm not alone. It would be, to a certain degree, financially irresponsible to not guaruntee backwards compat, and to an absolute degree, ethically irresponsible to expect people to buy their Switch games for another Switch.
It isn't fair to compare a PC handheld to the switch 2 in terms of ram consoles in general require less ram then PCs that are constantly running something in the background the PS5 which is significantly more powerful only has 16 gbs
Yup. The better comparison is with other consoles, and Switch 2 output is being most compared to Xbox Series S and PS4 Pro. Xbox Series S has 10GB while PS4 Pro has 8GB, so 12GB on Switch 2 follows.
You also have to keep the OS in mind. Windows 11 gets cranky if it doesn't get 4GB for it and its internal processes alone. A full modern Linux system prefers to have 2GB, or at least 1.5. The FreeBSD fork Nintendo uses since the 3DS can probably run on less than 1GB, even with recording and background downloads it shouldn't go beyond 2GB at any time.
Consoles have generally always been much more optimised compared to pcs. I'll imagine Switch successor games will look pretty good, even on potentially underwhelming hardware. And even then, _any_ Nintendo upgrade will be better than whatever the switch is currently offering. It's painful with the current stutterfests.
@@KoolAidManOGwait the Xbox Series S only has 6 gigs of usable Ram? (The reason I ask is because Xbox OS is a modified version of Windows 10, maybe 11, yes I know they’ve probably stripped down the OS to reduce RAM usage so I guess it could be using only 2 for the os meaning 8 usable gigs but still)
The PC handheld spec comparisons don't really hold since this is a console we're talking about. 12GB of DDR5X is more than the Xbox Series S. The real story is that this will be a handheld PC with comparable output to a PS4 Pro/Xbox Series S. That's pretty damn impressive, and it'll run basically everything when you consider that the vanilla PS4 is still a major target platform.
Probably going to have a lot more usable RAM than the Series S as well, because that runs a modified version of windows, and windows takes like 4gb of ram for the OS itself, I’m sure Microsoft probably cut a bunch of stuff so it’s probably closer to 2 gigs for the os on the Series S, but Nintendo’s OS’s hardly reserves any RAM for itself so it’s probably got like 10-11 gigs of usable RAM which is quite a lot all things considered, a 16 gig windows machine usually has around 12 gigs of usable RAM if I remember correctly
I don't see Nintendo announcing the Switch 2 this year honestly. They want to squeeze everything they can out of the current Switch and announcing it before the holidays may hurt sales.
If the Switch 2 is fully backwards compatible, then it wouldn't hurt software sales at all. In fact, it would encourage sales thanks to the security of a new console generation.
My first thought upon seeing the new Switch with it's ginormous 8" screen and chonky joy-cons is, "I sure hope there's gonna be a Lite version, since I don't know how any child is going to be able to hold that."
I would imagine that over 2 years later they'd be using something newer and more refined, especially if the rumors are true about wanting to incorporate Nvidia DLSS tech.
@@ShaoShaoMienshao Nah, I'm pretty sure that they're sticking with the T239 as it's perfect for this application, but they'll be making it on a smaller node (Samsung 8mm). It does the job perfectly and will be cheap. Win, win. 👍👍

Considering 1080p is all should be shooting for on a handheld the hardware choices start to make a lot of sense. Comparing it to devices that are so powerful that they can only run for 45 minutes and you won't even be able to tell the difference very much anyway in performance is just silly.
12GB of ram is kinda a lot for a console considering the PS4 only had 8GB of ram. Yeah compared to a PC or current gen consoles it isn't great but just compararively it's a huge leap from the switch's 4GB
laptop? laptops can have pc hardware, so technically they can have the same as a pc and you can put 64gb to it. So thats not an argument. And phones. Also, for phones i get the point, but still its not the same because phones do a lot more things than a pc and you use some hardware for that, for for a console that is not doing many things its different
My biggest wish for this new Nintendo console is to a have a non-handheld version of it. Personally, I barely even use the Switch portable, so having the Switch 2 (or whatever its name) have a standard, non-portable edition (perhaps even capable of more power?) would be ideal for me.
It's 4 more GBs of ram than the ps4, and since it's not a pc handheld it wouldn't need quite as much as the other handhelds. Although I don't know how Steam OS is with ram usage.
@@mxdni yeah its nicer but 1080p is good enough and doesnt drain battery as bad. Would you actually sacrifice a bunch of battery for a slightly nicer screen? if you want 4k play docked

@@joejoe2658 what's the point of it being powerful? AAA quality games on handheld is very niche. People buy handhelds for "portability". That's why the steam deck didn't penetrate the market quite well. It's just a niche product, a luxury.
I have the oled and a screen just an inch bigger sounds pretty good tbh. it doesn't sound TOO big, and will definitely still be fine for handheld gaming lmao
if it really is as powerful as the Deck, then oh boy. There's no modern game that can't run on the steam deck, that would be unprecedented for Nintendo. The era of diminishing returns is proving to be beneficial for N.
Well, the GPU on the Steam Deck is slightly *less* powerful than the PS4's, but the former can run games the latter cannot thanks to its much more powerful processor. On the other hand, the Switch 2's GPU appears to be slightly *more* powerful than PS4, so it will all depend on how its processor measures to the Deck's. If it is somewhat equivalent in power then we're in for a great generation.

I have a steam deck - but I'm still pumped for the Switch 2. The Switch is still such a charming device to use, and its simplicity is its selling point when compared to more powerful PC handhelds. The Switch is still the best device at..switching. There's nothing like having to restart games and change configurations on the Steamdeck when I want to play docked. It'll definitely be a purchase for me. There are plenty of games from this Switch generation I haven't even played yet - if they could be enhanced on newer hardware count me in.
Games are arguably going to look and be even better than the best handheld gaming devices we have out there because they are a PC, games for PC aren’t really made for any specific PC so they can’t really capitalize on anything, but Super Nintendo Switch games will be made for the Switch so it’ll be used to it’s fullest potential.
Also Nintendo has a history of making really efficient OS’s reserving very little ram for itself, meaning it can do more with less RAM, so it probably has like 10-11 gigs of usable RAM, which would be equivalent to a 14-15 gig windows machine in usable RAM because from my understanding Windows reserves 4 gigs for itself, don’t know how much RAM Linux systems reserve, the Switch only reserves one core and one gig of RAM for the OS that is a minuscule amount for modern OS’s
Pretty refreshing that people are more excited for the games on a new console rather than the specs Feels like it’s been a while, Nintendo knows they don’t have to reinvent the wheel here, higher resolution and a stable frame rate is pretty much all everyone’s been asking for anyways
i was really hoping switch 2 would come this holiday season, but looks like we will see it next summer! its crazy they made the switch last 8 years and i still enjoy playing it almost every day
Nintendo doesn't believe in the strongest hardware, they only care about making fun games. Modern consoles suffer from having really good hardware, but not so many great games that make people want to buy their consoles. That's why the Switch is 2nd to the PS2 in the Top Selling Consoles of all Time. MK8 is still selling millions of units every year, 10 years after it's release. Even though it doesn't have as much RAM as those PC handhelds, it does have DLSS, which has the potential to make it a little powerhouse of a handheld. Everything else is on AMD, which simply doesn't have the same efficiency or features of what Nintendo will have available to them. I think Nintendo is going to be turning heads with just how much power this thing is going to have in such a small package. Remember, this isn't just Nintendo's console, it's NVIDIA's console.
F*** using the joycons as mini controllers. Give us a real d-pad, and have the sticks/buttons/dpad at an angle like on a normal controller. Using a switch for any decent amount of time gets uncomfortable.
The 7.9 inch screen rumored at 1080p would be 279 ppi, a very respectable pixel density. Switch Lite 267 ppi Switch 237 ppi Switch OLED 210 ppi You'd get a much crisper picture than the current Switch lines despite a larger screen and an eventual Switch 2 Lite could have a very impressive and competitive ppi with its smaller screen.
Maybe i'm just weird, but I don't want a handheld PC experience. Having a console experience on handheld makes sense because they're two dedicated gaming devices, marrying the two just seems logical. But the things I do on PC can't be done on a handheld, so it would feel more like a watered down/limited experience, that's why devices like Steam Deck don't appeal to me and why I prefer the Switch. People like to say Steam Deck is better because you can just emulate everything on it, but if piracy makes Steam Deck better than Switch, then piracy makes PC better than everything. Yes it does mean piracy, let's not pretend that the majority of emulation users are actually going through the effort to make legitimate dumps of their own games to emulate, it's all piracy.
@ronnorhgih3265 I don't doubt I'd enjoy certain games portable, but it's not enough of the games I play to justify getting a Steam Deck for me. KBM is my preferred control method for the majority of games I play on PC so that's already a problem, but also the games I play are generally deeply involved and not suited for stop and go. I don't even play all my switch games portable, some games I like to take my time with and absorb.
Same here. I only use my switch for non PC games. It just feels like a better experience playing the bigger games on PC, but maybe it's because I use an ultra wide monitor and it would feel like a downgrade playing them on a smaller screen.

Because there's no info about the dock, apart that there might be a second fan. There's not much to upgrade, since all it did in current switch is DP-HDMI conversion, USB hub and Ethernet for the Oled model
According to Digital foundry, upscaling to 4K from 1080 or lower can cause a lot of lag, but that can be circumvented with the AI accelerator that’s in the chip the switch 2’s chip is based on. Would be smart to incorporate the accelerator into the dock with high transfer rate usbc
PS5 has 16 and PS4 has 8GB of ram, why do people think 12GB of ram on a handheld is bad? Switch runs off 4GB of ram, while a Google Pixel 9 uses over 7GB of ram just being powered on doing nothing. Have 3x the Ram as the Switch will make a huge difference, especially is the Switch OS runs off little ram like it already does.

12 GB should be enough, tbh. More would be nice of course, but remember: PC handhelds are *PCs*. They have to run all kinds of OS background threads and random background tasks for syncing stuff irrelevant to your gaming experience. The Switch is a purpose-built hardware system that can remove anything it doesn't need from the OS and dedicate almost all the RAM to whatever game it's running. Games can also (in theory, really depends on developer skill) optimize specifically for the hardware (you know, like the old days).

I wouldn’t be too surprised if the Switch 2 had 11 gigs of usable unified RAM when not downloading games, because it is probably an iteration on the Switch OS, which was an iteration on the 3DS OS, and so it is probably designed to be optimized to use as little RAM as possible

@@kninezbanks I honestly feel like they might be able to make it less bland while keeping it within 1.5GB as the 3DS was a lot less bland and had similar features as you are talking about then adding, I think the Wii U had most of those features as well and if I remember correctly it also was very light weight, within 1GB so it is possible that Nintendo could do what you propose in 1GB of RAM. Edit the Wii U is technically uses 1GB 3 MB and 96kb of RAM for the OS, for security purposes, the 1GB is from the mane RAM, then 3MB of dedicated RAM that probably handled communication to the Game Pad, and the rest an anti tampering protocol yes the Wii U did in fact only allow games to have 1 GB. I would recommend telling your son tho to save up a bit extra so he can get it at launch
Thats what im going to do so scalpers wont be an issue

A dual screen design is among Nintendo's patents.
It would make the next console capable of porting games from the DS & WiiU as well as the 3DS if the top screen is 3D.
I don't get why some people think this idea is ridiculous or unrealistic.
Wasn't the DS rumoured to have a second screen?
The top screen does not need to be 3D to be able to play 3ds games on it. I mean they released a 3ds with out the 3D

My 2 cents: I bet Nintendo doesn't say anything about the Switch 2 until Jan/Feb next year with a release in May/June. I don't know what Nintendo has to gain by announcing it now. But they could cannibalize holiday sales of the original Switch if they do.
tablet man
I kind of get it, but I also kind of don't get it.
It might be technically good in the short term, but long term you want as many users on your latest device.
the leaks, it's pretty much already announced, the leaks forced their hand and they will have to announce it now
If the Switch 2 is fully backwards compatible then they won't be cannibalizing anything.

The human presence sensor was likely for Alarmo now that its been announced
I get why you're comparing it to PC handhelds but the biggest problem is that PC handouts are really expensive compared to what this switch will cost.
Except for the steam deck at least
it will cost the same as steam deck even more while we get to emulate everything wiiU and ps3 to last console i dont need switch 2
More expensive and can do much more.
300 is impossible. 400 is the most realistic price with the specs theyre offering, and itd be 450 most likely for an OLED screen.
We are almost certain it's a 8 inch LCD 1080 screen and it's gonna be 399

it may very well be 500$ tho,, as long as its cheaper than ps5 pro..

This video is very nostalgic for me. Found the channel during the old NX mockup days and here we are with a whole new generation of leaks.
If I don't get to have my _entire_ switch catalogue on the Switch 2: Electric Boogaloo, I'll consider that the last nail in the coffin of video games, swear off of them forever, and go live in the mountains with the bears.
So sad that a handheld with full backwards compatibility with its own games and also with pretty much all Nintendo games doesn't exist
Look up Cory Doctorow's enshittification. Nice things get progressively worse over time. We can't have nice things because that would cut into the profit margins of the filthy rich. Nintendo has a pretty good rep, but they're not immune to capitalism.
Don't worry Nintendo will have a patent on that and will send you cease and desist lawyers
This point has been talked ad nauseum and it doesn't make sense knowing Nintendo's history. Not impossible, but highly unlikely
If the Switch 2 is fully backwards compatible, then it wouldn't hurt software sales at all. In fact, it would encourage sales thanks to the security of a new console generation.
I honestly think sales would increase at this point.
They need the next system to sell well much more than they need to sell a few more switches
The problem with this argument is that the average consumer isn't into news as much as you think they are.
My first thought upon seeing the new Switch with it's ginormous 8" screen and chonky joy-cons is, "I sure hope there's gonna be a Lite version, since I don't know how any child is going to be able to hold that."

Pretty refreshing that people are more excited for the games on a new console rather than the specs

Switch OLED 210 ppi
You'd get a much crisper picture than the current Switch lines despite a larger screen and an eventual Switch 2 Lite could have a very impressive and competitive ppi with its smaller screen.
I think that this opinion would change if you had one because you find games in your steam library that are so nice on a portable device
Well now we know what that human sensor device is…
The stupid alarm clock lol
Best sponsor ads on the internet! I'd watch just for these...
if ps6 is more expansive or the same price as the ps5 pro, the switch 2 will be my only next gen console. I have every console nintendo made ( except for wii u and purely handheld ones) and I was never disappointed. Cant wait for the swtich 2
That ad was a fucking banger!
I'm very glad I didn't skip past this ad. Bob singing about a vpn isn't something I knew I wanted to hear.
Why is no one's speaking about the dock? Lol it's definitely a crucial component of the original switch model and most likely will be upgraded as well
Because there's no info about the dock, apart that there might be a second fan.
That... was the BEST SurfShark ad ive EVER SEEN! OMFG LOLOLOLOL

4:19 Please I have Premium 💅
PS5 has 16 and PS4 has 8GB of ram, why do people think 12GB of ram on a handheld is bad? Switch runs off 4GB of ram, while a Google Pixel 9 uses over 7GB of ram just being powered on doing nothing. Have 3x the Ram as the Switch will make a huge difference, especially is the Switch OS runs off little ram like it already does.
I don’t think I see why they would reveal switch 2 before March 2025. Unless they had a compelling reason to reveal it before the end of the fiscal year, why would they? Reveal in March, and release in the late summer or Holiday of 2025.
Yes I agree. That makes the most sense
They would have had a general direct this month if that’s the case, they don’t have enough big games for another whole year
@@christianr.5868 yeah that’s a good point. But also isn’t it fair to not have tons of new games in the last year of the consoles lifecycle? Or maybe they’ll still release a game or two without a direct.
@@Bigjim1027 I mean yeah, but this year has already been just mostly ports and smaller titles. The real question is, if they don’t have enough content for another year of switch, why wait to launch the switch 2?
@@christianr.5868 right, that is totally fair. Perhaps they feel they do have enough content to last at least until a summer release while preparing everything for new console and not getting in the way of any holiday sales, etc. considering they gave themselves til the end of the fiscal year to announce it. I have no expertise on any of this, that’s just what I’m expecting. But I’d love to be wrong! Hoping for it ASAP
Not only do I generally love your content, but your ad reads are always S tier. You've actually convinced me to buy a product before, which I don't believe I've ever done out of the countless hours per week I spend watching TH-cam.
@@Norfirio Absolutely. The games should get a full 10Gb of UNIFIED RAM, which the other consoles don't have (I think). I've heard an interview with a developer who says that this will be huge.
PS4/Xbox One had 5 to 5.5GB to developers.........The Switch as as powerful as the PS3/XBOX 360..........Switch 2 will be about as powerful as the PS4/Xbox one......but with more memory.......10GB is more than enough.......look at apple silicon, at 1080p many AAA games use like 5 to 8GB total ram.
I wouldn’t be too surprised if the Switch 2 had 11 gigs of usable unified RAM when not downloading games, because it is probably an iteration on the Switch OS, which was an iteration on the 3DS OS, and so it is probably designed to be optimized to use as little RAM as possible
@@Speedy500 True, the switch has a very lightweight OS..........Game Devs have 3285MB.......467MB for Applet (App Store, Album, Settings Menu etc).....and only 265MB for the actual core system...........One down side is that the switch OS is too bland/plain, no themes, no background downloads, limited video recording etc.........game devs can choose to not allow recording to free up memory/cpu/gpu power..............on the switch 2, they might reserve more space for social media, achievement tracking, background downloads or playback etc.
I can see them reserving 2GB to be in line with modern devices.
How did all my Wii U games run so smooth? Probably because I didn’t ever get BOTW for the Wii U
Best YT ad I've seen. Bravo Bob and Zim
I'm still not 100% conviced. Remember the smash ultimate "leak" from a few years ago? A lot of people have a lot of time on their hands, epecially if they think it can end up beeing a big "prank"
Right! That’s why when I see anyone talk about “switch 2 rumors” I take it with a 2 ton boulder of salt instead of just a grain.
the guys at digital foundry already said that if the leak is fake then it's one of the most impressive leaks to ever be done.
the 3d model could've been done well enough by most people, but the actual irl parts are another matter, ESPECIALLY the circuit board, the circuit board is the thing that makes it really valid
Ngl, that sponsored ad was probably the best one I've ever seen on YT lol
Call of duty is coming to nintendo switch and i can not wait
Bobs ads are slowly becoming my actual favorite content on the internet

@@redsephone absurdist humor, it's a thing, don't worry.
A surf rock-themed jingle for an ad read. Now I've seen everything.
i'd like to mention that the original switch had only 4GB of ram, and still could run massive games like totk pretty dang well. i wouldn't consider 12GB to be small for an optimized nintendo game at ALL
ngl that was the best ad i've ever seen on youtube lmao great job
"i will link the sources"
Doesn't link the sources. Not surprised.
This is the first time I didn't skip a VPN ad in a video. Incredible
1080 in handheld with upscaling to 1440 while docked would be perfect
