    Nice presentation and very useful educational video...just one thing,the driver used a very good day for him to show as an example,He made $127.14 in 2h 8m,which really awesome,but I just wanna tell the new drivers don't fall for that and get disappointed if you didn't make the same amount of money in a couple of hours because that's not how it usually works,there was a $25 bonus means the driver made $102 in 2h8m online 5 trips,I know a lot of it is being a pro and have a strategy but also big part of it is good luck

    Hey Joe.
    Your channel is filled with excellent information. Thank you for everything you share with us...its appreciated my friend. I just got a new SUV, and Im having a hard time downloading my documents off the lyft apps documents browse page. Everytime I press the browse pictures to download my registration...it never opens it. Ive tried the help format and the samething happens. After you explain your issue they have another box that asks you to attach a file from their browse box, guess what...it doesnt ope either... what can you recommend since the faster you finish downloading your documents, the faster you can pass their questionnaire and actuallly be allowed to be a driver? I hope you can help me...and probably others who might have come to the same issue? Thanks in advance.
    Martin.

    First ride and Lyft's map program appeared to freeze. No voice directions or screen motion when driving. Is there a way to test Lyft's driver app's map program without actually accepting a ride? I don't want to accept rides, then have to cancel them while I try and troubleshoot it. I am updating the iPhone software, which I'm hoping will solve the problem. Anyone else have problems with their map program?

    I have a Few questions.
    1. In destination mode can you just specify a city as a destination (without a specific address)
    2. Is there a penalty if you decline to go pick someone up???
    3. Are you required to follow the GPS directions???? (Much Like truck drivers are required to follow a pre-planned route) I ask this because This could be useful in avoiding certain construction areas by choosing my own custom route to get to the same destination for my passenger.
    4. And to be clear if you use destination mode without a preset time and you leave it on your whole shift it will always put your drop off (with in reason) in proximity of your destination mode setting....

    • @boydmanuel9257
      @boydmanuel9257 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Daniella Kemmesies You can see the destination once you arrive. Just tap the passenger profile box.
      If you need to be at work at a specific time, give yourself some extra time and put your work address in the destination filter. That way if you don’t happen to Lyft anyone going that way, then you’ll just arrive early.
      Good luck!

    I Had a Lyft plus or XL ride but the passenger only requested a lyft or standard ride. When I asked Support to adjust the ride fare they wouldn’t. They said I should have requested the Ryder to change the ride request before I started. When I asked how I would know that, I think they said the color around the profile picture of the passenger would be blue for XL, green for standard. Anyone know if this is true?

    I'm new to Lyft, so I'm still learning the app. Today, I got a ping and I'll be darned if the "turn by turn" navigation never came on. I checked the app, and I do have it toggled on. I guess my question is, after the ping is accepted, doesn't the "turn by turn" nav automatically start? Like it does with Uber. If not, what do i have to do to get it started? You said in this video, the navigation automatically comes on. Are you referring to the VOICE navigation or just the visual without the voice?

    Very helpful as the app has changed a lot in recent months.
    Thank you.
    I noticed you like the Nav that utilizes the marriage between Lyft and Google Maps...how well does that do in avoiding/routing around traffic? I always use Waze as it seems to do a better job of that but I've not tried the other in quite some time.

    • @UGPVlogsLA
      @UGPVlogsLA 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      andy164501 Google Navigation is better for driving here in Los Angeles for sure. I find that Waze is just too much of a pain for me. Never liked that navigation at all.
      Why not give Google Maps a try. 👍

    • @andy164501
      @andy164501 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@UGPVlogsLA Thanks for the reply. I'd love to interact with someone that, like me, loves and depends on Waze for their day-to-day traveling to get their thoughts on if it's worth jettisoning Waze for G'Maps in the context of the Lyft app. Since I noticed the RS Guy does have Waze installed on his phone I am hoping he'll weight in on the this.
      Since I run with 2 phones I recon I could run Waze on my secondary one and compare routes (as a test). If I were a betting man I would bet that Waze is superior in avoiding traffic, police locations, red-light cameras, hazards on the road ahead (objects, potholes, etc.) but clearly having the best/fastest route is what's important when doing rideshare driving.

      andy164501 Also Andy, some platforms monitor your use by touching the phone and that goes against you. Especially on HopSkipDrive. So I only touch my iPhone. It’s for safety purposes, as a few weeks ago I was rated a “B” for touching my phone! I’m now back to being an “A” now. Lol. I like being professional about my business

    They recently added a new feature to the Lyft app that, after you accept, it shows the direction of the ride and the time estimated for the ride itself after pickup. It usually is a small box that says something like "southwest 20 minutes" or whatever. You have to have a minimum of 90% acceptance to get these messages

    ATTN DRIVERS AND THOSE THINKING ABOUT DRIVING PLEASE READ: To the rideshare prof and others like him (rideshareguy, uber driver etc) online -- you MUST be getting SOMETHING from uber/lyft to be constantly online pushing the idea of a viable income from these driver-blood sucking companies -- I have driven for the both (95% uber) for over a yr (now I've stopped and no longer will do so)-- I find it **VERY** dishonest of you to - at ANY TIME - be talking about the revenue being generated from driving (forget about the nonsense of the non-existent "referral" income) and NOT mentioning the *HIGH** driving costs of gas!!/ repairs/ depreciation of value on the car/ how screwed drivers will feel from the "expenses" taken by uber/lyft as THEIR portion (in reality a silicon valley modern day mafia)/ and the increased exposure risk to accidents that will be inevitable -- I've driven with a prius and find unfathomable how any NON-hybrid could possibly break even
    having driven it DID afford "flexibility" of hrs working but one HAS to drive ridiculous amounts of hrs to be making anything substantive to eek out a living in LA (which is where I've driven) -- there is no "rideSHARE" as that is a way to make this seem "cool" or palatable as a way to "utilize" your car or make an "income" (which it was but uber/lyft take a mafia portion of what is DUE to drivers given DRIVERS are the one putting out all the expenses)
    so good luck to anyone but all these ride"share" advocates online **IMHO** MUST be getting some income from uber/lyft to be pushing this as a viable "business" -- it is **NOT** unless you want to work 7 days a week putting in 60+ hrs driving while "making your own hours"
