Have you heard of anyone having problems with Ride share Mechanic? I just had an inspection done and I am not receiving any emails from them just sms messages and there is a link to access my documents in the sms message but it brings me to a login screen that I can not log in to because I never got their email with what I need to create a log in and they won't answer when I call either.

Also, if you pick up someone who looks like they’re having a bad day, don’t try to cheer them up or talk them out of their funk with small talk. They got places to be, and may not be particularly thrilled about what they have to deal with for the rest of the day. Just greet them cordially, play some music on low volume and wish them a good day when you’ve gotten to the destination. Lesson learned for me.

since you use uber you might like this new gig economy app called PICKL. PICKL pays people $5 to take pictures of products in grocery stores. it's convenient since you can use it while grocery shopping.

One tip that was given to me was after you have your passenger in the car and you know what their Destination is, ask them if there’s a certain way that they’d like to go. Adds a bit of security for them. Cleaning tip. Invest in a little steam cleaner if you have cloth seats. It’s sanitizers and cleans them and destroys any odor. The other thing I did was I invested in a set of Weather Tech mats. They are great because if somebody were to spill something, or get muddy foot prints on them all you have to do is take them out of the car, scrub them down, dry them off and put them right back in. No expensive carpet cleaning bill.

I'm a new driver but I already had some experience transporting people in a vehicle from the work site to their personal vehicle at my last job. I would always ask everyone if they got all their belongings before leaving and I'll ask again after arriving. This became a habit of mine and I use it for Uber too. It has come in handy a couple of times already where the rider forgot something before we took off.

Excellent video. Adding my big suggestion.....If you don't want to be distracted by additional ride requests, turn on the "stop new requests" as soon as you start the current ride. I do this because I don't want to take the precious seconds while I am driving to decide whether I want to take the new trip offered. Sometimes it goes off multiple times and I am like, let me just f---ing finish this ride! So now you can by just pressing the "stop new requests" as soon as you drop them off and have your breather (checking back seat, noting ride in log (I do that for EVERY ride) you can turn it back on (or rather you can go back online, since when you do this option, the app signs you off as soon as you swipe drop off complete. Hope this makes sense.

    • @quackinator1609
      @quackinator1609 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I'm a new driver and I keep it on. It does get annoying when getting multiple requests. What bothers me more is that if you deny too many requests, the app gives you less info on the request. For example, it'll stop showing me how much money I'll make from the trip and where I'll be dropping the rider off. It just tells me where to pick them up.

    • @edwilliams4793
      @edwilliams4793 ปีที่แล้ว +2

In my market, Uber usually sends me ride requests that cover up the map just as I need to see where I need to turn. I think they do this on purpose trying to get me to tap on it & accept usually crappy trips. Just like Waze does with their ads…

All drivers should put together and make a own app with the main condition: You home city is always your destination after a trip away. That's key to real ridsharing and not go far and more far!!!
    2. $10 Minimum for customers (6/4 split Driver/Company)
    3. after $10 is $2,50 a mile (1,75-2/0,50-0,75)
    4. If the closest car is more then 2 miles away it cost the customer another $1 a mile to get to him.
    5. Driver always choose the ride.

Yes! And make sure your car is clean. I've been in uber cars where the back seat had their work uniform and a diaper bag. I'm a parent so I know how life can get busy, but please make sure the backseat is clean. If need be put it in the trunk.

With TCJA “Bonus Desprecition” you can write off up to 80% of your primary vehicle and 100% of a secondary, “business use only” vehicle. This means, if you buy a 50k and use for Uber you can deduct the entire amount against your taxes due + Mileage and expenses! I did this with my truck (80% of purchase; 20% is considered personal use) and will do the same for the car (for 100% of purchase price) I just bought.
TCJA Bonus Deprecation being phased out 2026. Not a CPA, check with your tax advisor.
    Cheers and GLTA!

How you pay your direct taxes (Income Taxes) and claim all expenses/exemptions with the government.
Do you create a numbered/any name company?
Did the Uber gives you a GST papers to file/deposit stated amount on that paper.
I am in Canada, in my way I was Taking to an Uber driver and he said Uber gives them a GST document to file at the end of the financial year and that’s you have to file.
And I questioned him, what about claiming the exemptions (all expenses, lease payment, repair and maintenance of vehicle, gas receipts etc etc) and also declaring your Gross Income to the government. How much an average for your direct taxes for the year?
My conclusion is Is GST is the only government taxes you have to file at the end of the year or
Is there is Uber dollars earned needs to be Taxes and filed at the end of the year (as your Direct Taxes/ Return to file) because if you files your taxes, of course than Uber driver will be claiming his expenses as well. Thanks.

Just for clarification, someone claims they don't have the app & want to pay cash--so are we to assume they saw your Uber sign & just happened to be standing wherever, on a curb right where you were parked...just thinking this out is all..
In other words, they don't have the app, how is that they are even asking you for a ride in which they can pay cash?
Hope that's not a dumb question.

If uber locks you out is that a forever ban or do you get a second chance after say 6 months? I ask because I have been doing eats and had a customer say i never delivered an order and got a huge warning from uber. Thing is I totally delivered last 2 orders by handing to customer. Not sure which one even said never received.

Add up pickup and trip minutes, divide by fare = hourly gross, then subtract expense =your net for the trip. For me, deliveries usually not worth it (1/2 hour for a $6 gross fare, less expenses = ~$3/hr net) No thanks!

Great tip. I actually always drive in the right hand lane or the second most right hand lane and go right around the speed limit to save gas and to be safer/avoid tickets.

    • @ladylucas60

The Rideshare Hub Dylan will you do a video specifically on driving techniques. Here are some :
1 never go beyond the speed limit in any city or posted .
2 drive cautiously in neighborhoods especially where schools and medical facilities
3 drive in the middle /center lane easy to make your right or left turn if you get a Ping / call
4 pay attention to your blind spots look over shoulders do not always rely on the rear view mirrors
5 never tailgate even if you are requested to speed up by the Pax
6 carry an emergency 🚨 aid kit and for night drivers flares flashlight 🔦 and tire jack
7 make sure your tires are inflated prior to getting into the vehicle 🚗
8 make sure you have enough gas ⛽️ to make it to the first ride , so you can gas up on prior to the next ,
9 keep all the mechanical fluids almost water oil and brake fluid
10 drive with confidence and consistency speed flow of traffic .
11 if you happen to miss your ramp turn or street , the gps will reroute the drive and get the trip back on track
12 don’t forget to support the rideshare Hub by purchasing some Merch !
