- I'm exploring The Philippines In The USA?! Did you know that Filipinos make up a huge percentage of the hospitality industry around the world. So I'm here in the cruise ship capital of the world - Miami, and I'm learning about Filipino culture, people, and of course the incredible food. They are truly some of the nicest people I've ever met, and you won't believe the stories they have to share.

good job
I am a Filipino residing in the Miami area. Ironically, I only discovered that restaurant after living here in 17 years. Anyway, the staff and owner of that restaurant are nothing short of being great ambassadors of Filipino hospitality. Not only have they had good foods and amiable services, but before leaving, they packed extra foods for us to go for free, like we were family.
Since you’ve been there for 17 years, where is the best and safest place to live in Miami? I’m also a Filipino.
@Ram.73 I would say that generally, anywhere west of South Florida are pretty organized and family oriented (Pembroke Pines, Doral, Kendall, Wellington) and those close to the beach to be more vibrant and energetic (Miami Beach, Aventura, Ft Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Bch) and probably a bit more expensive 😊. Pembroke Pines is specifically nice for Filipinos because Jollibee is your next-door neighbor 😃
@@RedWhiteBlue. Thanks for the tips😊.
😊

Watching you introduce snacks makes me feel like I am back in my childhood, which makes me happy!
That buffet has a lot of Filipino dishes. I’m happy to watch you enjoying your meal!
The enthusiasm and humor of that Filipino aunt really represent typical Filipinos, who are kind, hard-working, and optimistic!
Thank you for sharing the lesser-known side of cruises, Philippine culture, and touching stories of Filipino immigrants!

You can even order filipino food to serve it to your cabin

I am working also in the cruise-ship. And i know the owners kuya noy and tita their are the most busiest filipino i ever know in miami. They’re taking good care of us. The food is extremely good. Cavite is a suburban province next to Metro Manila. It's actually part of The Greater Manila Area and many live there commute to Manila for work. It is also highly developing due to the various industrial parks in the area.

10:27 It's actually done in the Philippines. There's noodles topped with dinugoan(blood stew). So, that's alright. Yeah, it wasn't adobo that you scooped, twas dinugoan.

Ube is my mother's favorite ingredient for desserts. Anything made of or with Ube, my mother loves it.

Oh that is not adobo 😂 dinuguan hehe! I love it! You tried almost all pinoy food! 🎉 what a great restaurant, very humble owner! 😊❤
She's from Cavite, a province south of Manila. Cavite belongs to the region called Calabarzon, the largest industrial area of the country.
The old lady said Tagalog, because Cavite is one of the stronghold of tagalog speaking people.
* That David didn't know the dish in Tagalog we called it "Ginataan" because he's from bisaya.
Aet all you can😊
You are making me hungry, I like to eat all of them, thank you for your delicious vlog
Thank you for the amazing support!
In my home town there is only one Filipino karenderia / sari-sari store. My new language learning strategy is to have coffee or lunch there twice a week, and hang a sign from my table that says "Tulungan ang dayuhang 'Kano na matutong magsalita ng Tagalog!" It works. I've met the nicest people! This has helped my conversational skills improve from Beginner, to High-beginner / Low-intermediate. Thanks Jared, you inspired this!
You better eat Filipino food with a spoon and a fork. I missed all that yummy Filipino food. Shot out here from Canada! 🇨🇦

I have to return to Miami to visit these places.
You should go here in the Philippines, your subscriber will increase 3 folds
I will come visit for sure, but because I love the food and the people!
Yes pls go to little Mali 🇲🇱
Ube is quite endemic to the Philippines. That's why we love it, can't get enough of it and will always use it. I'm so happy you're discovering more of Pinoy food. Btw, you can always call the Aunties as "Tita" and Uncle "Tito" but if you're talking to an older person and especially a stranger, you can always use "ate" (ah-teh) for ladies and "kuya" (koo-yah) for the men. Basically means older sister or older brother. And yes, rice is life for us Pinoys. Nanay Linda is Mama or Mom Linda because Nanay means that. Power on and cheers. MABUHAY!!!
94% of Filipino cant afford real ube desserts. Most Ube desserts just use artificial flavors. That is just sad.
Good exploration, good find.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
pulvoron powdery stuff you know :)
