Filipino food is not really the best Asian food there is. My Wife is Filipino and even she say the don’t have really good food if you look to Asia
i bet the cashier at jollibee made him felt a little bit pressured ; the manager is single., so is he......
The family was so hospitable and accommodating. I love how they represents their Filipino heritage. Their food lookes really delicious.

Pastilan ginoo ko, naunsa ka ba uy?
Love how she explained the Pinoy culture very well. Very well spoken, educated and so beautiful. And yes, so many festivals and fiestas that one MUST attend and experience. And you have a lot of well established friends, like Tal and Mike. And Wil too? Very nice. Take care and thanks for this great video
So proud of the daughter Very accomodating , knows her Cultural identity , well mannered and Smart.
I love how knowledgeable the daughter is of the history. Most Filam isn’t really familiar of our home country’s history I am really impressed 👏🏻 it’s good to know where we came from and knowing your own culture.
Whaaattt? She was intellectualizing! She appeared knowledgeable, but the information she was throwing out were false. Her dates were centuries off. Her geography was erroneous and her details, which are critical information when speaking about history, were simply atrocious. She was just babbling about things she clearly just made up.what a phony!

Thank you for this
I’m heading there today. 🙌🏾
This woman knows really well the history of the Philippines
52:30 - just answered my question - Glad David took the leftover food home to share with his family!
Delicious.. thanks sir davidsbeenhere..❤❤
Great explanation by the lady about Phillipines culture/'History ...and the foods looks really nutritious/healthy ..Greenleaf veges...marinated meats...rice... and best of all the use of banana leaves...adds that natural touch to the dishes...nice as always...Thsnks David ...be safe...Peace.❤❤.
This father and daughter team was intellectualizing! They appeared knowledgeable, but the information they were throwing out were false. Their dates were centuries off. Their geography was erroneous and their details, which are critical information when speaking about history, were simply atrocious. They were just babbling about things they clearly just made up. Anthony Bourdain said “the best pig ever” not the best lechon. What phonies! They should just stick to cooking, their output of which in fairness looks amazing.
Chicken has three primary toes, adidas logo has three lines.

Very interesting video.Generally i think that the food of the Philippines is amazing.
Andreas! How are you buddy? Was wondering about you and how you are holding up these days. Totally agreed its amazing food. Whats the latest over on your end my friend?!
@@DavidsbeenhereHi David.I am fine.Do not worry.I just have been busy ,but i was watching your videos.Hope you are completely healed from the health problem that you had.Waiting for The Netherlands series.❤
The Netherlands will be coming on Saturday this week! So glad to hear you have been keeping busy. Always appreciate your support Andreas. Yes my back finally healed up thankfully. It was a few months out but I'm finally back out there and feeling good again. Thank you so much for asking.
Magellan was not killed in Mindanao. He was killed in Mactan, Cebu and Cebu is one of the Visayas Provinces. Although, Spaniards still colonize the entire country. We adopt some of their culture, with the words we are still using today, in terms food, religion, norms, traits and even our last names.
👆Exactly correct! Facts💯%
so authentic 🎉
Great job beautiful lady for telling him our Philippines history.
Such a wonderful TH-camr watching from Guyana ❤
The guys are the food ambassadors of Filipino food/cuisine! Mabuhay! 🇵🇭
More to Enjoy of you visit the Philippines physically....that place will surely let you experience Filipino style foods and cuisine's...
So thankful that the daughter did not embarrass herself, considering she comes the younger generation. Hence not embarrassing the Filipino lol. She does have a lot of knowledge about Philippine history, geography, food, traditions etc. Even familiar with Betamax, Adidas etc (oh , isn’t there also skewered BBQ called IUD lol YES! the contraceptive device lol) Sorry to say, but she, actually , would’ve done a better job in describing the food accurately.
David is so adventurous, you can see he really appreciated the food. But to be fair, they all look so delicious that it’s making me miss and crave all that was laid on the table.
Filipinos were not Muslims before they became Catholics. Some Southern Philippine tribes in Mindanao converted to Islam but a lot remained as they are today preserving their own tribal identity, cuisine wise.
Another reason to go to Miami! Great video!

Never heard of this Resto, I live in Orlando. I will be checking this out soon.
Thankfully, the daughter is knowledgeable on Philippine history, geography, traditions, food etc. Considering she comes from the younger generation, she did not embarrass herself, hence, embarrassing Filipinos lol. TBH and I’m sorry but she would’ve given a better and more accurate description of all the food. She even knows Betamax, Adidas(oh isn’t there also the IUD bbq? Yeah, the contraceptive device! lol)
David is so adventurous that you can see he has a great appreciation for ethnic food. But then those presented look really delicious. Now I’m missing and craving them.
When we are in Jollibee, it feels like home!
It was a pleasure talking to you David. We were the family @ 59:49. Love your vids and love how you enjoy our culture!

We do have spices, but it's mainly optional... we serve them on the side, in our dipping sauces and condiments, like spiced vinegar and chili oils.

Xin Chao! Hello from Vietnam. I'm from Cebu as well. It's a beautiful island in the south of the Philippines. A new fan here. Lechon is the best food for me.
The Black Nazarene at Quiapo Church came from Mexico via the Acapulco - Manila Galleon route.

New subs from Philippines
wow❤😊
I'm gonna head down from Coconut Creek
This food looks so good, I'm doing a road trip in July so I'll have to make a route that leads to this place for sure. We'll be hungry after that drive from Vancouver island 🏝 Canada 🇨🇦
Wow! What a drive. That sounds like a truly amazing trip. Wishing you a safe trip and safe travels!
Lapu-Lapu is not a Muslim, he didn't converted to the faith of Islam, he was practicing an "animous" religion and is very connected to the nature. He was the "datu" a larger tribal leader in the island of what is now "Mactan". There they met Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese born explorer in the service of the Castillan Kingdom of Spain, he reached Cebu in 1521, same year, due to the abuses by his men and the friars they brought along with them, the news reached Datu Lapu-Lapu and prepared for the assault of the Spanish, then ultimately killed Magellan. (humbly sharing lng po, pasensya na po sa lahat)
In Filipino BBQ is (Inihaw)... but there are also other terms from different regions like (Sinugba) and (Inasal).
Attendance check ✅
Well actually when you are in the Philippines where there are lots of foods it's always a festival bought or free food is always a festivity in our country because we always feast on our foods
There are Filipinos that are part Chinese as well. My grandfather came from the Fookien Province. It’s ok to refer to some of us as Chinitos/Chinitas as i am sometimes referred to as and not offended by it.
There’s no way that KFC beats Jollibee so I’m questioning your judgement and I am a fan of yours😂
hahaha..mga kalog mani taga pinays oy..kilig c mam jollyjoy..c david ,gi kilig tuloy,, nag blushed red...bagay sila..soon..
it was the filipinos who taught mexicans coconut gin but the mexicans did it to pineapples but mexicans gave us chicharon so that's a win for both sides! 😀
1:08 Guy looks like Top Chef's Sheldon Simeon who placed third twice.
With all due respect, that lechon's crust is not properly done. I bet it's still good though, because he used Cebuano seasoning.
But roasting is a whole art in of itself. It takes a real lechonero to get the perfectly smooth, juicy and crunchy skin.
It was cooked in the oven that's why, the traditional smooth redish skin of Cebu lechon is cooked in charcoal.
Nice episode David.. And what a Well spoken young lady this is! Only camerawork & sound are underwhelming lately :(
that spaghetti is none sugar recipe.. the sweetness of the spaghetti because of the banana catchup not sugar..
The best food.
Oh yah cebu
Is masarap talaga
Where’s the banana cue? 👍😊
the cheapest is $1,000.00 a month not two hundred, I am originally from the Philippines but have lived in the States for 40 years two hundred might be living in a nipa hut and eating fish and rice I wish you would have another restaurant in the future in Charleston South Carolina is also a big Filipino community!
That mochi, I reckon that's what we called sapin-sapin.
he love dinuguan ahahaahh
History was way off, but hey, we're here for the food. 😅😅
What. If. Join. Member?
I rather eat Carenderia house cooking not Jollibee. 😍❤️😍
