@@jonathanjackson1975 ultratech explained it. He got serious with his girlfriend who asked him to spend more time with her and not on the channel. Also his work demanded more of his time. He was forced to quit in the end, because he didnt have the time.
@@lukebignell7846 It had become really time-consuming, and probably a bit of an obsession to him, losing touch with his "real" life, which is family and actual work (because sucking Matchroom for a few quids is not an actual work like Ultra would say).
Would love a one-time comeback for BG's reaction to Ruiz beating Joshua.

Gossip is well in his health and life. The internet pressure, especially youtube fame which was going to invade him in the real life got the better of his nerves. Maybe was he threatened. I believe he will be back one day, but not for now.
As long as he lives he will want to speak boxing so he will be back when ready.
I believe he is a bit shameful also because of the sudden departure.

@Nictorious NZ He left youtube boxing permanently, as it had become kind of an obssession, massively time-consuming and taking all his energy and mind.
So he chose to refocus on his "real life" which is family, girlfriend and work.
Apparently he also could not cope with the then growing PBC-Matchroom internet war and being dragged into their conflicts. He was not willing to live a new Floyd vs Manny thing all over again, with him on the front-line.

The curious case of Boxing Gossip. Where did he go? Some say he hastily boarded a jet and is now living in a condo on the Bahamas, others that he is running an underground fightclub in East London together with business partner John Smith. Was he simply a myth? Nobody knows for sure.
The last I heard he was doing time in jail for the constant stalking of Nathan Cleverly.
John Smith... or was it Dale, haha! My theory is he and Tyson Fury cannot co-exist in the spotlight no more: gossip takes an extended break as Tyson returns...

The guy was fairly clueless. Also he couldn't care less about his followers. He legged it even when people were paying to his Patreon without a word of explanation. He is a recruitment consultant. Never trust a salesman.

Really enjoyed this BG, though i take an opposing view of the head to head match up. If Tyson cannot get to Bonecrusher, Tucker, Green or Tillis he is getting countered by a motivated Lewis. Lewis took his time in the eventual fight because he could. He employed a rifle because a howitzer was not needed. I love prime Tyson but too often his exciting style and presence clouds reality.

100% agree. It's too easy to say Tyson was a ghost of himself and had some success so 'prime' Tyson would win.Tyson had serious issues with much lesser fighters in his prime. Add on the fact Lennox wasn't in his prime in 2002 either, I think it's the same outcome, Lennox by stoppage.

I'm sorry Tom but for once I have to disagree with your opinion. To pick Tyson over Lewis to me is ludicrous, you even said yourself that Lewis had the better record, and this should be the main point of comparison. In your analysis you reinforce Tyson being PST his prime in 2002 yet almost fail to acknowledge that Lewis too was over the hill - it wasn't too long after that Vitali should have beaten him. Also, I think you under value Lewis's skills here to a great degree. A lot of Tyson's advantages come on the inside and this neglects Lewis's ability to keep the fight on the outside and his ability to manage a fight. Lewis had the better ring iq imo especially after his pairing with Steward, another advantage he has over Tyson. Also what even is a prime Tyson? By 1990 he has already been beaten, knocked out and perhaps humiliated by a far inferior opponent in Douglas. If Tysons prime started say in 88 and ended in 89 should this not be considered a good couple of years rather than a great prime? This is supported by his poor resume, after all Tyson was outclassed by most of his better opponents. Who is Tysons best win? He hasn't got one of a true top level, and for that reason Tysons almost god like status is somewhat unwarranted imo. Even here I feel you fall into this trap and over hype Tysons skill set; whilst it is clear that his peekaboo style was effective he isn't the most skilled fighter of all time, yet your praise in this video elevates him as such. You also say that even though Tyson paid Lewis step aside money he didn't duck him; surely that is the clearest example of ducking available! Despite all this I respect your opinion as always Gossip, but this is one I wholeheartedly disagree with you on
Firaas Bhutta I clearly stated that Vitali should have beaten Lewis - this was because he too was past his prime in the early thousands without doubt! Firstly they are not D level fighters at all, but to be only knocked out twice in heavyweight boxing at the level Lewis fought at isn't bad at all imo. Also you say this as if Tyson ("prime Tyson" I might add) went down to Douglas in a much more embarrassing fashion. A one shot knockout at heavyweight is to be expected considering the power they carry, but the way Tyson went down vs Douglas was very poor imo. So a very past his best Holmes is "prime Tyson"'s biggest win? Not much of a prime then. You have to admit as soon as he faced game opposition Tyson was knocked over and it would be the same vs Lewis

He got serious with a gf, and work got alot busier. Had to jack in the channel due to both, as they take priority to this which was always a hobby. I am guessing that he got married and had a kid...so impossible to come back with that as a responsibility.
