This episode was very spiritual. I miss my grandparents too. My grandmother cultivated roses at her farm while raising 8 kids and growing most of their food with my grandfather. They developed and exported a particular sweet and large mango variety to the US that was named after herself in the 1940s. All their children went to college. I think the way you are living is so wholesome and all your work and efforts are the best for your children's future. I am not a farmer per se. I live and love in a city big city, but my heart is happiest when I can smell the grass, the fruits, and the flowers and wear a straw hat.
The beauty and serenity of your videos are so relaxing along with the lovely music that you choose. I look forward to a peek into your life in France each week.

The cows are so different from what I see in the Northeast of the US. I don’t know of any place within hours of travel that have so few cars on the road. Most of the towns once quiet have fallen to development as suburbia spreads north each year. Your home, food, environment and disposition are so tranquil and beautiful. Thank you for a relaxing view into your life.💗.

Zennias are the easiest flowers to grow. Just sew the seeds around the end of May and in a couple of weeks they will start to come upm you don't have to start inside. I order my seeds from American Meadows online. And they last year to year kept in a tightly closed jar in a dark closet
(Insde of course). Good luck!

Yes I know I can just sow them in the garden but the birds sometimes pick them up or the wind blows them away and I wanted to be sure which ones were grandma’s ones as I am going to put it other ones as well. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to distinguish them afterwards. Thanks for sharing though!
It might be easier to grow the special varieties directly in the ground you can put up markers and then transplant them .. at least that way you have more that might survive.. I’m not much of a gardener. I’ve just learned from trial and error 😊 love your videos. They’re so informative and wonderful and just so relaxing!!

Oh, this is lovely. You make wonderful meals for your guests but I confess I could not eat anywhere near as much as you prepare. I see you are cooking for two but each person’s meal would feed me for more than a day. And the charcuterie store, and the cheeses! Oh my! Such abundance! Beautiful countryside.
Yes I make the meals quite big hoping they can save some for lunch as well if it’s too much 😇

Those yellow flowers were canola but we do have many mustard fields in this area as well!

Love your videos. Love the earthenware vessels. Re brocante shopping, please show more copper pots, and cast iron pots. I use plain cast (no enamel) at home, but am interested in enameled, too. Plan to buy in Perpignan, so am very interested in this ‘pré-shopping’. You have great ideas.

Hi! Yes it is small and charming. Better not come on a Monday: many shops and restaurants are closed so it gives a bit of a deserted vibe. Definitely visit the hospices de Beaune! And strolling through the streets and following the remparts is beautiful!
