Hi Arnout. I purchased two of your setups. The Mcclaren and the Ferrari. I'm a beginner with 160+hrs in ACC. Your setups helped me so much to understand how to setup a car. I did a 8:51 time on the 24H Nurb in the Mcclaren . Don't think it is that quick, but it was huge for me!. Not the easiest track i must say, but it is my favourite track. Thank you. Jeff
massively helpful brother, thank you. i just got really into racing games this year, i’ve always been more of a fan of arcadey drifty type racing games, but the more i play sim games the more i enjoy them; they’re just so satisfying and precise. this was very helpful.
im not long into the hobby yet, but i always find it comforting to watch your videos for guideline and seeing that im already doing some of the things naturally knowing that there is a meta and stuff i a little discouriaging from time to time
I agree metas are annoying however one thing i found is amogst the tops cars (which feels like a good few of the cars) that the cars are so close like 10ths of a second close so meta doesn't matter much more so the skill of your control of the car
Omg you have to invest in a wheel like a Logitech g29 if you play at a desk just use not a chair with wheels or if you use a TV in a living room then get a stand with a chair cradle omg what an experience even with such iffy gear
I@@YoungKarting100% agree once you get on a wheel it changes the playing experience and you'll be more precise and faster and you won't want to come off it
I use the 488 as i liked the m4 but its built more angled upward as compared to the 488 and other cars making it harder to see the road and what your about to hit other than that i love both cars even have a broadbent livery for the m6 but i live in the 488
just started with sim racing and have about 7 hrs in ACC and 15 hrs in F1 23; your videoa help a lot to see through the jungle … havent been brave enough to disable the ideal line… but that will happen next
The thing to do when you turn off the ideal line for the first time, is forget your best laptimes, and slow down on the straights to find a perfect entry speed instead of braking as late as possible,
@@SimracingArnout Thanks buddy, also switched from auto to manual - getting used to that now on Nürburgring GP Track. Its crazy how much more control I have over the car. Will get your M4 Settings now :)
I have a month of game time and i felt very comfortable and safe with the McLaren, as for my second car I'm deciding between the Aston Martin, BMW, and Ford, they all feel very good
Honestly if you have questions i may be able to answer them plus its sorta easy least for me as i use a fuel calculator website where i enter fuel consumption time or laps and laptime your attempting to hit and it gives a fuel percentage usually a bit more than you need but rather safe than rolling across the line out of gas
@@SimracingArnout fair i get nervous af too thats why i like the fuel calculator because they basically give you 2 safe fuel amounts as one is for no formation lap and one if you do formation lap and i typically run the formation lap one and it gives me a little extra fuel and i would rather trade weight and lap time for speed and making sure i actually cross the line
If you put 900° on steering ratio in control settings, it will automatically change to every cars steering ratio. (This also means that your software in windows needs 900° as well)
I agree that people need to turn off the racing line as someone who used it in the start YOU WILL get bored so its best for both skill and enjoyment as with it yes you may be consistent like i did but youll end up slow and bored like in 3 hour races i found myself zoning out and just relying on color changes of line till i turned it off
@@SimracingArnout Yep. I'm trying my best and even got my LFM Licence, but I don't think I'm going to win a race or something like that. Anyway, it's going to be like that until I get a steering wheel, what's going to take some time.
I disagree with racing line setting being hidden (i'm beginner with 100 + hours) for the first 70 hours I played with visable racing line and started to memorize the optimal line and braking points on the track, the line just helped me being consistant at the start since i was very new to the sim racing. After these 70 hours i put the racing line to hidden and I had absolutely no issues driving fast (some tracks even faster than before) i think racing line is a good setting for learning the new tracks faster.
@@SimracingArnout Yeah that was the main issue for me it was to steep curve without the line. Especially on less known tracks like Misano, Zolder and etc.
