I love anything to do with old aircraft! Thank you for filming all that. Looked like a good day. I got to fly in a L-19 Bird dog. Awesome STOL ability's. The Fairchild was a beauty as well as the gliders. I'm in the states restoring a Unimog 406 & parts here are through the roof. I've ordered parts from Argentina, Germany, Greece & talking to the UK about new made springs.
Do not worry, you will drive in that 404 next year for sure, just make a note to attend the airshow, in the Humvee, with some of the military collection from your barn in the rear as well. might be star of the show. Here by me farmers loved diesel cars, for some reason, because they never bought diesel for them at the fuel stops in town. Same for military vehicles, a lot ran on Jet A1 at times, or Avgas for others, like the POL ground equipment, which never filled up at the fuel station, always inside the wire on the government dyed fuel. Blue petrol, and it would dye the carburettor nicely as well.
The joke about the Humvee fuel usage reminds me of the El Camino my late BIL owned at one time. 80kph top speed, up hill, down hill, with or without a caravan and speedboat behind it same range on a fuel tank. Fuel gauge that you can watch move, and unable to pass any fuel stop.
what is the gear ratio for the Hummer? did you swap them ? wow..so many cool things there..could make several videos of vehicles/jet engines..aircraft.and rare vehicles that i have no idea existed..bet you had a good day Mr.VIP!
I didn't swap them, no. it still has it's standard gear ratio :) And yeah, it was cool to see some of all the interesting stuff they have over there. I might just be able to make some more detailed videos on some of it, one day :)
What the hell was going on with that bunker door? Does it fall over into the floor to open? Great video. The sound wasn't so bad, especially the Mustang and Spitfire in the air together 😮
That's correct. the door tilts backwards, into a matching hole in the floor. So when you drive in and out, you are driving on what is the outside face of the door.
So we pay very close to the same price for deisle per litre as you did that day.. living in New Zealand as I am this surprised me. I considered my place to be logistically more complicated than Switzerland thus a higher price. However it may be that volume reduces the expense per litre which makes me very grateful. I wouldn't recover financially from that trip either. If my eye is correct you pay 12.29 krona ?
You saw correct. the price was 12.29 Dkk. per liter. So that would be just around 3 New Zeland dollar. We do have some fairly high fuel prices, as there is a lot of tax added on to the price.
man each time I see this humvee I have sparkles in my eyes, my plan is : somehow someone give me 25k, I buy a m998 not too clapped out and put it to rent in order to jutify the purchase. Please tell me it's rational ahah
Now that's a proper car trailer right there. I always chuckle a little when I watch American car youtubers transport vehicles on their style of trailers with the wheel fenders sticking up into the deck. If they are lucky, the vehicle they are hauling fits between the fenders, but then they always have problems opening the drivers door to get in/out. If they are unlucky the vehicle they are loading is to wide and doesn't fit between the wheel fenders and they have to drive/drag it over them to get it on/off...lol!😁👍

Brilliant videos of the P51 mustang & Spitfire.🇬🇧🇮🇪
Couldn't have picked a better day for delivery. Looked awesome. Also, that meme "it belongs in a museum" is actually true this time 👍
Thanks for bring us along KJ. Take care & stay safe.
Cool video. I thought the sound was good. It was nice to see the HMMWV being put to work.
Great video again, nice trip with the Humvee hauling stuff 👍🏻 Keep the video's comming 👌🏻

Sad Magirus in the background at the start XD
Looks like a fun job.
Just a great vídeo.
The gallons per mile fuel consumption sounds realistic :) Great video.
Thanks for your videos, i enjoy them, spotted you at the airshow in Hans Christian Anderson Airport. :)
I love the sound of that humvee diesel
Thank you. Your content keeps getting better and better.
Thanks a lot :)
I appreciate the dramatic cinematographic ending ... 😀
👍
At least there's no mountains 😄
That certainly helps 😄
I really hope they will pull the diesel out and let someone else it in a 404!!

Oooo. What did you get in exchange for the 404? An F-104? That would be fun 😁
I'm currently building a runway in my backyard

someday I will let you drive my 404. Its a diesel with power steering on 12.5x20 tires. around 4000kg 😎
That would be really cool 😎

The only unrealistic part, is havging to "Justify the purchase" 😁
Du gjorde helt rätt som lät unimog 404an gå vidare till ett museum…
how much for the green bread loaf with mold? 😂
The mold is gonna' cost extra

Flyvestation Værløse, de holder til i flere af de gamle hangarer. Selve området er åbent hele året.
