Saw them in 1993. They crashed on our living room floor. I had no idea who they were. My room mate did their sound engineering. Brilliant then, brilliant now.
Blonde redhead’s songs are just otherworldly, nostalgic and soo ethereal. This song makes me feel like i’m in a whole another dimension, far away from here, floating around, freely and carelessly in a surreal painting. After all i’ve said, there are still not enough words to describe how their music makes me feel.
Such a fantastic drummer. This drummer made me appreciate how much drums can do for a song. Probably my favorite drummer of all time, seriously. And, of course, everyone else is also amazing.
You might like to check out Topper Headon from The Clash if you aren't already familiar. Guns of Brixton, Tommy Gun and the ' heed the call out"(?) song esp. (Like an Asian version of a singing angel chorister in a Van Eyck painting.)

@@fruub True, but many people are not really listening to music when they hear it, or don't know how to really listen at all. Man...this song is -just about- perfect. Ok...enough ranting about how much I love this song; I could easily go on for hours about how perfect this one song is...but it's better to just smoke a bowl, let the sound wash out of the speakers, and bliss-out.... :)
I think it's all about the soul in songwriting, many musicians when asked what makes a great song/tone/style they talk about the technical sides and skills but the soul is the most important thing when you produce, when you forget all what you've learned and just let yourself go and feel it, have fun :)
