In my opinion, this is the pinnacle of Blonde Redhead. A lot of great songs over the years, but this is heavenly, haunting indie rock perfection. And their best video.
I found them because they opened for Tool at the show I went to a few days ago. Such a unique, beautiful sound, I was instantly drawn in. They’re incredibly underrated.
I saw these guys 22 years ago in Hershey, Pennsylvania. I remember liking their sound and how much more "musical" they were when compared to The Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers they were opening for. Now, 22 years later I found out who they were. The internet is neat.
I am going to get killed for this comment for two reasons. The first reason is because of how, right now, I am stating that this band is really hit or miss, this song is a hit even though I don't like the front vocal track during the chorus, but this and "The One I Love" are the only "like" worthy tracks I've heard from them so far. If I didn't like this one I would have moved on to probably listen to Awax or Gurldoll or whatever after a little bit of it. Reason two is that this is the 24th comment on this video.

It's such a unique sound. Combining the noisy guitar from their roots in the 90s with the Indie Pop Rock sound of the 2000s
It's weird to watch these ancient videos on TH-cam because they're so low res. I wonder if there's a HD version somewhere
10 years of one of my fav albums ever

I saw them at Ralph's corner bar in Moorhead mn in 1996. It was incredibly
I'm obsessed with them right now! Do you have a rec for the next album to listen to after 23?
This is the most unique band. Saw them live in Portland a few years back, and am obsessed. Fantastic.
I was obsessed with them from 2003 to 2008. Saw them in Boston and Montreal. Love them.
😶
I saw them in Groningen (NL), still got a poster 😎
I think about this song often, having heard it for the first time so long ago. Thank you for making this.
That drum beat combined with that ethereal voice. Dope!
That drum 🤤
Saw them open for TOOL & this song came on as the acid was kicking in. Song has stuck with me since then
