Beautiful as always, Hans. Nice finds, too. You clean them very well. Perhaps you could make a couple videos of your cleaning process. It would be beneficial to many of your viewers.
Stunning scenery. Headed into a scorching weekend here in Australia so lovely to be reminded that cool and misty mornings await us as the seasons roll on. Best wishes for more great finds on your pathway. Thank you for posting Hans.
Wow, Hans. That is definitely a majestic forest. Your films are superb, one of the most relaxing Metal Detecting channels on TH-cam. Well done, Hans. ✌️👍👍🦘🇦🇺🦘
The uniform button turned out great. You can imagine a young lady riding through the woods with the brooch in her hair, it catches on a twig and...next thing Hans is picking it up. Thanks for the beautiful video.
Guten Tag Mein Frueind... Hope all's well with everyone/thing! Keep up the good work and vids. Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 😇🙏👊
I imagine the broach could have been lost when the lady slid down from her horse and didn’t realize the broach caught on the saddle, breaking the delicate pin. Later she probably rode back and forth on the trail frantically trying to find her lost keepsake, given to her by her fiancée that was off to his military service… to be continued 😉 You are my favorite TH-cam channel, period.
I was most impressed with the Holland America Line button. Beautiful condition! Gorgeous fall colours too! Thank you, once again, for bringing us along.
Nice to see you back on your old footpath Hans. Thanks for showing us your beautiful scenery as usual. Some more really nice finds. All the best buddy and HH.
Hey, thanks Hans, and a lovely video as ever my friend. I really liked the silver brooch - 😍 gorgeous! About your interference - maybe I can help a little? I think your machine is the Deus 2, yes? I've had many problems with my Deus 2 and electric fences - I think the FMF struggles with electric fences 🥴 so I recently started using 'Deus Mono' mode. Also, select a frequency which isn't too high - around 17Khz, and finally do a Frequency scan around that 17Khz frequency, to hopefully find a 'clean area'. Then, with a bit of luck, you can still push the settings and 'search deep' without too much annoying interference... 🙏🏻 Anyways, apologies if you have tried this - but I thought maybe it could help you?... Take care then, and thanks again for your fantastic work!... Bobby (Manchester 🐝 , UK).
Anorher beautiful video, Hans. I appreciate the care you take in your videos. You have a wonderful eye for detail and artistic presentation. Always a joy to watch.
Superb content, Hans, and filmed with professional care and quality. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and joy in metal detecting for historic objects.👏
Holland America Line was founded in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and from 1873 to 1989, it operated as a Dutch shipping line, a passenger line, a cargo line and a cruise line operating primarily between the Netherlands and North America. As part of the company's legacy, it was directly involved in the transport of many hundreds of thousands of emigrants from the Netherlands to North America. Holland America has been a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation since 1989.
It’s hard to choose a favorite from such wonderful fines, I guess I enjoyed the small ring the most, it’s a shame these items can’t speak to us and tell us their history. I believe the real winner was the beauty of the path. Thank you, Hans. Your fan from the beautiful state of Tennessee, USA.
All that beauty that makes me sit down and breathe. The brooch did make me a little sad as I hope that long ago woman did not meet with harm in the words. We have sailed numerous times on Holland America ships so that find was particularly delightful. Thank you as always
Hello Hans so good to see you again. I was out detecting this morning at Upper Largo Fife and unfortunately snapped my Reaper coil of my AT Pro so your videos are the next best thing as always Scotland sends its regards
Good afternoon Hans my friend, so nice to get a notification 👍🏻😊. Great to see you back on the ancient footpath finding beautiful relics. I also really don’t like electric fence interference, always worse when the air is a bit damp. Nice little silver broach ! Hopefully we will see a bit more of your channel, as always all the best from Somerset UK 💯👍🏻👍🏻✨👏🏻
I trust you are well; you seem a bit winded. 🙏 It's always a joy to find your new videos...beautiful scenery, you bring a sense of calm. Your treasures are beautiful!
G’day Hans Thank you for your latest detecting video on the old path. I love the brooch you found. It looks beautiful. Maybe I could find one for my wife one day. Great to see you again. Best wishes. Andy from Australia.
Hello Hans. The buckle is an American Army helmet buckle. My wife found a picture online. Thank you for another wondrous journey back in time in God's creation. David
That buckle is still used today, but usually plastic. it's used with a flat strap, commonly on backpacks and compression sacks used in camping and backpacking gear..
The military buckle would be at one end of a woven cloth strap. The arrow-shaped bit would pop in and out of a small grommet, the grommets would be in a central row on one end of the strap. I suppose the holes could be just holes with no grommets as the strap would be of a tight weave. Another beautiful video!
Amazing finds, I think the buckle is an US WO2 M1 helmet chinstrap buckle, for the outer metal shell, attaches to canvas straps. The chinstrap for the inner liner is a leather strap. So you must have been detecting in Western Germany.
Très belle sortie àvec de belle trouvaille dont ce beaux 6 kruzer que je trouve chez moi en moselle et très beau bouton d officier plaqué or encore bravo et bonne detection
The Autumn colors on your footpath are beautiful. What a nice assortment of finds. The brooch is so pretty. Do you think the flat button has an Edelweiss flower on it? It is so thin for a button. So glad you found it before it disappeared altogether. Hope you are well and that you have a beautiful, happy Christmas.
Hello Hans, the buckle you found at 4:22 is a U.S. buckle from the chinstrap of a U.S. helmet from ww2.
Yes indeed it is.
Your films are always a piece of Art!
Greetings from the Netherlands! 🇳🇱👍🇩🇪
My man! I’ve missed you! Glad to see you back today!
Hans, your videos are both welcomed and easy on the eyes and ears.
Thanks, from Georgia, USA...
Beautiful as always, Hans. Nice finds, too. You clean them very well. Perhaps you could make a couple videos of your cleaning process. It would be beneficial to many of your viewers.

Missed you Hans. You keep my love for Germany alive in my heart. 😊

Maybe someone already noticed, but the buckle is from a US M1 helmet or a European 'copy' of it. Nice video as always!
