Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad mentioned!! You have no idea how much I love that series, thank you!! Hopefully someone will find the lost movie, but if it's really shelved, there's always fan edits. :P
I'd never heard of the show until making this video! What channel did it air on? I get the feeling the film was cancelled and never made unfortunately although I can't imagine it would've held much new to be honest. Still would've been interesting for fans of the show to see
@MediaSenseiOGIirc, it might have aired on the USA Network, but I swear I saw it on Fox around 1998, after all the good shit finished airing lol (Same way I saw All Dogs Go to Heaven: the series), however, one quick Google search that it also aired on ABC at one point. Sorry for my late reply but I hope this info is helpful, mate. Happy Holidays.
The picture of Velokron attacking Hiroshima comes from the old Ultraman Ace booklet and DVD release by Geneon. It was apart of a series by Geneon that spanned from Ultra Q to Ultraman Leo. The videos included were mini documentaries and the photo of the Hiroshima attack sequence comes from one of these mini documentaries.
Hope that Super Sentai will be dubbed in English as soon as next year because suffering from severe subtitle fatigue. I also like to see Sentai win an Academy Award because I'm just tired of all this lack of acknowledgment for that show.
I'm surprised no one has tried it sooner but I guess Toei might have had something to say about it, I know at times they can be ultra protective over their intellectual property
@MediaSenseiOG Protective, lazy or don't care. They seem to be more focused on this One-Piece and Dragon Ball crap than Sentai. They need to get a new audience for those rainbow warriors or a spot in the history books.
Sadly, even though the Power Rangers franchise is very, very, veryyy slowly moving away from Super Sentai, it still completely took over SS's reputation, so I'm not sure Toei or whoever the current rights holder to PR is (Still Hasbro?) would be willing to cash in on that. Not to mention SS does need localization, and doing a localized dub would just be Pokemon Jelly-filled-Donuts levels of awkward. Also "Academy Award" is just too much. It's a series catered primarly to children to sell toys. You sound just like the "Kamen Rider Gaim should be on HBO!!!" , no offence.
@inferno9218 Maybe not an Academy Award, but just a simple documentary book. It's just basic common sense for a long-running franchise. BTW, I don't want a localized dub. I want a 1 per 1 translation even if ya have to use A.I. also, yes, Sentai is a kids' show that occasionally has upskirt shots and creature gore.
Don’t get your hopes up. We’d be more likely to get more seasons of Power Rangers instead of a dub. And if they ever did dub them again, they’d probably do it the way they did it in Dino Thunder and how they do it in South Korea and still call it Power Rangers.
If you’re ever considering pt2, here are few entries I can think of: 1. *Gamera 4:The Truth*: it’s a fan made Kaiju film that takes place after the heisei Gamera trilogy. While it was screened couple times, the found footages are scarce and only the film’s creator holds a copy to this day. 2. *Togekki!! Human!*: Series produced by Toho that became lost because the film reels got burned or something. 3. *Majin Bander*: Lost series 4. *Marine Kong*: A tv series featuring the titular Kaiju of the same name. Ran for 26 episodes.
I'm definitely considering a part 2, there's so much toku lost media out there. Funnily enough Marine Kong was on this list until I whittled it down to 10 entries!
@MediaSenseiOG There's also Jetman and Dairanger episode previews and TV magazine pages where Jet Icarus and Dairenoh fought against monsters that didn't happened in the show such as Jet Icarus fighting against Diamond Jigen and Dairenoh fighting against one of the priestess during the Kibaranger arc but that only Hair Priestess was fought by Kibaranger.
@@ZZtheDark Majin Bander is based on a cult classic manga by an assistant of Osamu Tezuka. No wonder why such an assistant’s art style is similar to the god of manga’s!
I think there was an English dub of Kamen Rider Agito I remember seeing it but I don’t know if anyone else remembers it. I don’t know if it’s an older dub or if it’s a newer dub.
I'm not super knowledgeable on the Kamen Rider franchise outside of seeing a couple of episodes of the original series and Black so wasn't sure how they were pronounced 🤣. Hence using the posters so fans would know which show I'm referring to
Another piece of Toku Lost media is very recent and I don’t see many fans talking about it,it comes from 2022’s Kamen Rider Revice,in which there were tonnes and tonnes of scenes featuring the character Hana interacting with a unnamed character,Hana’s actress,Hikari Kanashima put on Twitter that the actor who played the unnamed character SA’d her on set and was incredibly inappropriate to her during the filming of the scenes, the actor who has never been named by Kanashima or Toei was fired and toei deleted every scene leaving a load of episodes needing a reshoot, the scenes are lost
@MediaSenseiOG i think the channel also aired other tokusatsu dubs which sadly means alot of them are lost besides the openings of these shows( gransazer and others i don't remember)
also a few years ago the channel started airing power rangers dubs from dino charge to dino fury also i remember another channel aired a mega force and super mega force dubs
5:34, ahhhhh so this explains the cut scene of Hokuto and Minami appearing together being killed in the process despite Minami CLEARLY away from Hokuto's van as he was driving towards Velokron while Minami was miles away from him and the monster, attending to a patient on a wheelchair. 9:57, I still have my Kamen Rider Agito Project G4 English dub which still Archive-d thankfully for all to see. It's a hint of where to find it. The site I mean. Tho to give good light for SSSS, it inspired the S4 Gridman anime series greatly. 36:31, Nick Cage is a huge fan and is an OG.
Additional thing about Super Sentai... apparently the first eight Super Sentai shows had English dubs in the Philippines. Somehow, the only one of these dubs that is completely preserved is the one for Choudenshi Bioman. Most of them are more like "rumored to exist" than anything.
Ah I see. So are there others that people think might exist but aren't 100% sure? The only ones I could find confirmed to exist from the Philippines were the Gorenger and J.A.K.Q dubs but it would be interesting if there are more out there
It's certainly on the list, I'd just need to go about compiling some lost media from Saban Entertainment. I know if Power Rangers Origins and the deleted scenes from Turbo A Power Rangers Movie, as well as the whole Power Rider thing but are there any other obscure examples that you're aware of to include?
@MediaSenseiOG a couple id like to suggest is the lost pilot for Bioman, which was Saban’s first attempt to bring Super Sentai to the west, and another I’d suggest is an anime adaptation Saban created called Macron 1, it aired in late 1986 and was an amalgamation of two unrelated anime series (similar to Voltron or Robotech (this amalgamation version only aired in the U.S. and Israel)) titled GoShogun and Srungle that has a few episodes missing in English, but there’s more episodes of the series available in Hebrew, so idk if those exist in English at all. International releases were just adaptations of GoShogun. There’s even a second English dub that’s just GoShogun (seemingly complete judging by listening to the Russian version of the series) The most notable thing about the series, is as a way to promote and try to sell the series, pop music from the period would be edited into the battle scenes, Haim Saban even touted the series as “Animations Miami Vice”, containing music from artists like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Tears for Fears, and then even played Axel F. Although the music was edited out in home video releases here in the U.S. and trying to find English episodes that have the music intact is easier said than done. Although all the other versions I was able to find still have the songs intact.
Wow these sound very interesting. I was aware of the Bioman pilot but not this Macron 1 show. This is definitely an idea I'll keep on the growing list of ideas I have to make into videos soon. Thanks for the suggestion and stay tuned!
@MrBlazemaster525 I remember seeing reruns of Matanglawin showing snippets of the show due to Kuya Kim being the voice of Ultraman, alongside snippets of him doing the voice acting for the show.
Nothing for the original Ultraman but I am sure that the later Ultraman tagalog dubs did get bootleg dvds. I own one for Max. So there is at least that.
Here in Latin America some tokusatsu series received dubs. Juspion is particularly popular in Brazil thanks to its dub, as well as other series like National Kid, Jiraiya, Kamen Rider Black and some '80s Sentai Series In Spanish-speaking Latin American countries, we had a Kamen Rider Kuuga dub made in Venezuela, but it only covered the first half of the series, but a couple of years ago the first 4 Kamen Rider series from the Heisei era were dubbed in Mexico for a streaming service
It's very interesting, loads of people have been popping up in the comments from different countries talking about their dubs of specifically Kamen Rider shows. It's cool how far it's spread. Do you know if these Latin American dubs have been archived online?
No chance 🤣. I saw some clips and refused to do that. Especially for live action projects, I'm a big believer in watching them with subtitles in their original language.
i was not aware that english dub was made by other countries other than us or english speaker european countries,i just found out recently that some english sub anime i watch in cable tv in the philipines was dub by asian dubbers
I did cover some potentially lost Pretty Cure media in my 4Kids lost media video so if you're interested, definitely check that out! It may pop up in some future videos if I cover any topics that involve that franchise though so stay tuned!
I don't understand why these companies wouldn't want to dub their shows so everyone could watch and understand without having to read along with the subtitles. Do they not like making money i just don't get it. Please tell me why

@ I heard there was also a sentai styled baton pass for Faiz and Blade?? Tho there has never been a confirmation on this.
I think there was an English dub of Kamen Rider Agito I remember seeing it but I don’t know if anyone else remembers it. I don’t know if it’s an older dub or if it’s a newer dub.
There is, if you get the earthly subs for it, it comes with the dub as a secondary audio track i believe.
Wow. I totally forgot about Gridman. I loved that show!
Going from watching a video about tales of the crypt to tokusatsu lost media is nice
Hope you enjoyed!
"Kamen Rider Phase" and "Kamen Rider Triple O" physically hurt
I'm not super knowledgeable on the Kamen Rider franchise outside of seeing a couple of episodes of the original series and Black so wasn't sure how they were pronounced 🤣. Hence using the posters so fans would know which show I'm referring to
4kids Tiga.
Yes.

also i remember that we had an Arabic dub of ryuki in the middle east and the only remnants of it is the opening
Very interesting, do you know which country in the middle east it specifically aired in? It could help with getting it found
@MediaSenseiOG well it aired in multiple countries due to spacetoon being a poplar channel
Oh wow it was on SpaceToon? I used to watch that channel a lot when I went to Saudi Arabia as a kid. That's pretty awesome
@MediaSenseiOG i think the channel also aired other tokusatsu dubs which sadly means alot of them are lost besides the openings of these shows( gransazer and others i don't remember)

Could you do a video about lost Saban Entertainment media?
It's certainly on the list, I'd just need to go about compiling some lost media from Saban Entertainment. I'm curious if there's any remnants of the Tagalog dub of Ultraman from 1996?
Probably very little, not much film preservation happens in the Philippines, and that's not factoring the extra risk of damage from frequent typhoons
@MrBlazemaster525 I remember seeing reruns of Matanglawin showing snippets of the show due to Kuya Kim being the voice of Ultraman, alongside snippets of him doing the voice acting for the show.

@MediaSenseiOG Kamen Rider Black RX's brazilian dub is on Sato Company's official channel
@MediaSenseiOG yes, but Kuuga"s venezuelan dub is sadly partially lost
There was a Kamen Rider J English Fan Dub that was suppose to happen in the USA. It was around 2014/2015. I don't know if it ever came to be though.
Did you watch the english dub of godzilla minus one?
No chance 🤣. I saw some clips and refused to do that. Especially for live action projects, I'm a big believer in watching them with subtitles in their original language.
i was not aware that english dub was made by other countries other than us or english speaker european countries,i just found out recently that some english sub anime i watch in cable tv in the philipines was dub by asian dubbers
Speaking of dub, i just found the dub for the OG kamen rider by speedy from eps 11 up to 19 2 daya ago
Oh that's awesome man! How did you find them if you don't mind me asking and do you plan to upload them anywhere?
@MediaSenseiOG Well you see, it wasn't me who uploaded it
I just searching stuff on archive site and found someone uploaded it from eps 11 up to 19
Please do lost precure midea
I did cover some potentially lost Pretty Cure media in my 4Kids lost media video so if you're interested, definitely check that out! It may pop up in some future videos if I cover any topics that involve that franchise though so stay tuned!
Kamen Rider lost media
Yeah, y-yeah dude, thats a thing, good job
👀
I don't understand why these companies wouldn't want to dub their shows so everyone could watch and understand without having to read along with the subtitles. Do they not like making money i just don't get it. Please tell me why
