IIRC, number 6 is actually used! Just very few people ever experienced it. It is for when 4 players do a contest with link cables. Each system plays one of the 4 tracks, creating the full song!
The first theme was not for a town, like I thought it was, it was actually meant for when you trade pokemon. The two gameboy systems would both "sing" the theme.
9 was used for testing purposes. Edits: 8 was the same. Same for 10. 11 was also the same unless they actually were going to put Kanto in. 18 too 19 most likely as well
I really liked the unused route 3 version among others that sounded really good. There was a diglett’s cave theme and a possible professor oak victory theme, and a version of the clefairy dance/stadium 2 victory theme
@@jamesjosh2169 I never understood why people thought it was for the “hurry, get away” battle type of all things, it sounds nothing like what that would be, this sounds intimidating, that would likely be fast paced and frantic. My theory was that this was an encounter theme for the elite four, or for their chambers
The unused Blue/Red song was a trading theme where one Gameboy would play one channel, & the other Gameboy would play the other channel. The non-corrupted original version has been found in a Red/Blue beta leak: th-cam.com/video/6HNWZj2cC_8/w-d-xo.html
The 2nd one the yellow one can be heard by going to cloud city by using game freak’s secret cheat code that will give you a mysterious bird Pokèmon and it will make you fly to cloud city
Pokemon gold silver and crystal.... What can I say about the second generation? Whenever I listen to their final song it makes me nostalgic and I remember those funny and frustrating moments but in the end it is worth it considering that you can listen to that beautiful song the second gen in my opinion my favorite, hg / ss thank you very much for remastering the theme (even if you haven't used it)

There wasn't an unused Viridian theme for FRLG afaik, that one is in RSE, it is based on the version from GSC (which is why it's way better imo, the GSC takes for the Kanto tunes are pretty damn good)

Basically what number one was meant to do lol, since it was the trade theme
@@solgaleo3533 maybe number 1 was an early version of it

Yeah this was confirmed a few years after the video was uploaded
9 was used for testing purposes.
Edits:
8 was the same.
Same for 10.
11 was also the same unless they actually were going to put Kanto in.
18 too
19 most likely as well
Jubilife City theme here is a lot more chill than the final release
I’m p sure it’s just missing the lead
I see you're a month or two early from the leak, we have a whole lot more beta music now
0:47 Giovanni theme
@@jamesjosh2169 Yes. That's Giovanni's theme (named SAKAKI in the source).

link to the rest?
The Beta Eterna City theme wasn’t meant for Eterna, it was meant for Celestic Town, as it’s night theme.

The first one is cute 😭

Cloud city is a hack
lol without the romhack context this sounds like an old playground rumor
I prefer the beta eterna city theme over the actual eterna city theme.
I like it a lot, sounds more instrumental
2:50 Pokemon Prism PKMN Center Theme O_O
I knew I recognized it!
33:02 mystery zone my beloved
25:11 was this... really an effective way of testing the instrument generation, or if not that, drafting a track?
It’s weird knowing official RSE remixes of GSC music were in the game’s files, they were this close to full on start remaking GSC for the GBA
Kinda crazy how toned down the Beasts theme started compared to how it was revamped for HGSS
Fun Fact: Pokemon Red and Blue were so broken that Missingno doesnt exist in the Japanese games
Mew worsened it.. for the better.
No, it does, just the way to encounter it is too broken
This isn't a fact at all lol
MissingNo exists because of a bug introduced during localization, the Japanese version is way harder to get.

That Regi battle theme for diamond and pearl is so cool. They should have kept it for regigigas
They used it for platinum
I’m pretty sure the PCC was used for the Japanese versions of the game
If I went to hear #11 without any clue, I would've believed it was from a DS pokemon game at early stages.
I used to be so intrigued by the Undertale and deltarune unused sprites and audio, but this is even more intriguing.

if you need to use glitches to get to them, theyre unused.

How are PCC and Mobile Adapter unused? They're used in the original Japanese.
The Regis theme got used for the event in Platinum.

2. Got sampled for the Pokémon Rap Cypher. It was straight 🔥🔥
I don't think so?
Why am I just now finding this!
The first one sounds like a sonic stage
Pokémon cypher 2019
thankyou so much
it would be very different if all games were like betas
Lol the 2nd one is a looped 10sec song
E
And he played it for like 10 minutes straight
That registeel sprite tho 💀
Regi wildin 💀
Very cool, how did you find it

that one was not real
