*Molicel is the best 21700 cell on the market, usually more expensive than Samsung 40T.*
40T is great but Molicel P42 is way better, it's the darling of the personal electric vehicle world.
Battery experts adore Molicel.
The "power" and acceleration is a little more twitchy on eBoards that use Ling-Yi ESC like this board, it has the newest Ly-FOC version which is smoother but Hobbywing ESC is the smoothest. Meepo's newest boards use Hobbywing ESC.
Some like the Ling-Yi but most would agree Hobbywing is smoother, less twitchy but just as powerful.
Yeah I think you hit the nail on the head as far as boards these days being "fast enough" we get so obsessed with going faster and faster and thats fine, but a lot of the time having that crazy torque and acceleration can make a worse riding experience for more casual cruising. I wish meepo had a customizable acceleration curve from an app or something like some others do.

I took my Voyager and transplanted everything onto a smaller cruiser deck. Normally this would be dumb as it’s not light and it’s way powerful, but with my special set-up it’s super stable yet nimble. I use waterborne adapters with a Major Arc front truck and the rear trucks flipped around. This makes the rear end stable but able to carve super tightly. I did move the rear end further back behind the kicktail as I accidentally pulled a huge wheelie and almost went over 😂

For carrying the board I find adding kayak handles onto the ends or sides works really well. They are really comfy in hand and easy to mount almost anywhere on the edge of the deck or even using the trucks’ bolts. They are cheap too, about $10 bucks for a 4 pack

Luv the voyager. I took all the parts and swapped the deck and added some dbl kingpins. That 544wh batteries move in mode 4. Great video 🤘🤘🤘

P42a molicel batteries are just better than the Samsung batteries. They have a bit higher discharge rate and go through more charge cycles before degrading. I believe most of the samsung batteries start to degrade around 250-300 cycles and the molicel degrades at 500. (Meaning lower battery capacity overtime)
How much weight does the cloud wheels add? Also, can you do a review of the NLS3?

I believe the ones that they sell now on the website have been updated to fix most of these problems including the twitchyness. I have one coming tomorrow so I’ll see then. I’ve found that most of the boards they have made get silent updates over the first year or so of release which is good but also unfortunate for the first buyers.

@@sam.alexander.reviews Yeah, after riding it for a bit, I think that the acceleration is pretty smooth. It could still throw me off but that’s just because of the power it has. I personally like the slightly sharper acceleration.
I got mine like 4 days ago, I love it but the twitch is still there... and it is strong
my ocd could never leave the board that dirty =P just do a simple wipedown on the under side.. on the griptape side, use soapy water and brush it with soapy water and dap it with towel. it will look brand new

Agree with you,I just got this & its damn fast,I have a Apsuboard & this thing pulls like crazy,I had it in #4 in brakes & its waaay too powerful also the power was in 3 & its faast enough for anyone,night & day diff. between my Apsu,gonna try power in #4 & try switching pulleys & wheels that came free,the Zealot X is more money but also a good street board,both is all youll ever need
Just our of curiosity, how good are the brakes? Did you ever test the stopping distance? Thanks.
i haven't done a formal testing, but the brakes are great, you can easily lock them up so really the stopping distance is just how much grip your wheels have
Looked at many vids & pullin my hair out tryin to decide which to get out of the Stella S1,Stinger ,Mini Pro I went with the Voyager because of the power & range ,have it next friday

Molicells from what I’ve heard are preferable cells to use, at least on par with Samsung
Looking to buy this and get the 110’s I’ve never had a belt driven before, did you get a different belt and pulley for them or did you just use what the board already had?
so in my case, the board came with the 90mm street wheels on, and a set of 110mm "cyclones" (knock off clouds), belts, and pulleys to go with. if you're interested i can send ya the exact ones i use that i know work with the voyager
i'm not super advanced into swapping wheels/pulleys, but in my experience you if the pulleys fit, you can use the same ones with other wheels, it'll just chnage your acceleration/top speed/and mph shown on the remote
I’m going off to college and have a decent amount of commute between classes, if you had to pick between an electric longboard or electric shortboard/cruiser, what would you recommend?
get a short board for great turns and easy to carry
It really depends how far of a commute you have, size and weight needs and general price range
for a longer range than 5 miles per day, i'd do long, shorter than that i'd do short. long boards are much more comfortable to cruise long distance, short boards are easier to carry
Great vid, I’m about to buy one soon but I’m a risky guy and don’t really like protection/knee pads and helmets on me but I’m scared this board might be too fast and jerky so I might have to buy protection.

I had my battery swapped at 200 miles because the board stopped charging randomly right when my warranty ended, however they still sent me a new 400 dollar battery which I am assuming isnt the samsung one that I still have sitting around, and 80 dollar charger for free. As of right now at 600 miles, I currently have problems with one of my motors cutting in and out when I hit decent sized bumps which is very odd and I am not sure what could be causing that to happen but over all it is a very solid board and I ride it everyday to and from work. I will say replacing belts does get annoying over time though 😂

do you know of any 110-120 wheels that wear slowly? the tread wore off mine in 100-200 miles
I would not recommend the 110s if you do not have the mad 105s. The 110s wear out too easily, eat range, and dont feel nearly as nice to ride.

1k sticker price, 1k miles, 1$ per mile (if you look at electricity cost you're looking at rounding errors, they're tiny)
Just wondering your experience with water on the board. I’ve heard heavy rain and puddles are to be avoided but what about lighter rain or just wet roads? I just bought a voyager off of this video lol
yeah dont ride through heavy rain or puddles!
that being said, i've done it by accident a few times, and so far no issues at all. i wouldn't count on the board being "water proof" but so far, its been great

yeah i experienced the same thing, here's the one i get for my meepo voyager and they've worked for the last 500 miles which is better than stock for me.

He doesn't have cloud wheels on the board he has the 110 cyclones. Also cloud wheels have less grip and can be sketchy. Also when he talks about how cold weather and bigger wheels decease range that happens on all boards. Also molicell batteries are a little worse then samsung but not by much. Also the twitchy thing with the throttle is a problem with the voyager.
Love the video super informative. However the max speed IS around 40mph/60kmh. But not if you use the stock belt. There is another one which gets you to those speeds. Also in my very recent experience the customer service was great. Not trying to argue with anything in this video, but just letting other people know that they may have changed their customer service team on the recent months, or maybe I was just lucky with who was helping me. But credit where credit is due.

I found out how to make my Meepo Voyager X Go top speed 40 miles plus when I was messing with my remote pushing the buttons and I noticed that I could change the speed of the board and the highest number for the speed I can remember I saw was probably 43 Mi and then I tested it on the board without me standing on it and the speed limit was exactly 43 MI on level 3 I felt like this for could have gone faster than 43 miles if I put it on the way up to 100% max speed

Molicel is the best battery on the market currently. Mind you there are a few brands that are very close .

I would say try to fall on your back it’s the least amount of damage you will get opposed to the front

not great with stock street wheels but with bigger 110 mm tires it actually does pretty well, if you wanted serious offroading on a board though id recommend some suspension or some BIG tires
I loved my voyager but hated the jerky controller and ended up selling it. And now they’ve finally gone and switched to hobbywing controllers for their latest boards like the Envy 🤦♂️
Strange thing is, my hurricane is silky smooth, not even slightly jittery like my old v3 was. In fact it’s so smooth I actually wish it gave more power when you full throttle it from standstill, it’s almost a little too soft, especially in comparison to my dads Hadean. Shame the voyager doesn’t have a smooth ESC like the hurricane does.

Btw I don’t belive anyone is going 20mph plus unless ur on a narrow road that’s got sand or soft anything to fall into because u will break and it’s terrifying going past 14mph and I fell on 17mph and it was agony

I’m looking for a board to replace a $1,700 carbon boosted board. Sadly they’re run out of business and I can’t figure out if any company is on the level of boosted boards and which company is good and hopefully American. People say meepo is cheap breaks. Down then some say good then their tynee it’s good ect… I have no idea? I just want a quality board like boosted. Boosted also went bankrupt because people can’t afford $1500 $2000 boards so the good side is most companies best boards are around $1000 but the $2700 $3000 that’s a nich market and they won’t last long.
I’ve heard really good things about evolve, but they’re pretty expensive

@@alanmallakh8590 none taken :) I am 220lbs the major difference for me between speeds "3" and "4" are hill climbs and initial torque on flat roads. "3" pulls uphill well but is not overpowering. "4" THROWS me uphill and demands my attention. "4" also seems to use more battery and provide more torque but does not provide more speed.
@@Mikeonabus what the difference in range let’s say on 3 what’s the range you get with that weight on it compared to the supposed 36 miles how much do you get speed 3 and what’s the max speed you get on speed 4
@@alanmallakh8590 Level 4 gives me about 28 miles on street wheels and level 3 gives me the full 30 to 32 miles on street wheels.

Do not buy this board! Research all the problems people are having
Hurricane carbon's battery is dead after less than 1500km put on it, Meepo with their lame ass 3 months parts warranty does not care (completely illegal in Europe by the way), trucks are weak, have broken many times (both kingpin and hanger) and ESC is dangerous, shutting down everything even brakes when battery is low : this board is definitely a joke, do not trust any of these sponsored reviews and buy any Meepo's product at your onw risk now that you've been warned 🤷♂
its not a sponsored review (as i said at the start) but i hear ya on the customer service, i totally agree, customer service is a huge missing link for meepo and they need to step their game up

Veymax between 12-15 miles and Kaly board not sure.. battery too big.. supposed to be between 30-60.. one day I’ll test out the max range
