Yea I hear that all of the time when I’m buying projects. That’s why I make sure to keep a couple that I can fire up and enjoy while I work on others.
Very cool! One of my best friends ~ his dad was the original owner of a grabber blue Torino Cobra, SCJ, 4-speed, ram-air. He rarely drove it because it had an issue with the crank. Being pre-internet days, he had a hard time finding a replacement crank for it. So it sat under a tarp except for the rare occasion when he would fire it up to take around the block "for maintenance purposes".
I have a soft spot for full size muscle cars!
@@DezzysSpeedShopmy Dad has a Yellow 70 Torino 429 scj 4speed 3:91 factory ribbon tach drag pack all original just has a little bigger cam in it and man she runs . He would walk all over my 69 mach 428scj until I built a 445 stroker fun car to drive

The owner says "it is all ready to go back together"...I'm sure that he is planning to begin this project this weekend. It should be ready in about 30 days, right? I am looking forward to the first start up and walk around viceo...😎

@@DezzysSpeedShop yes absolutely! Most don't. But I mean yeah i get it... he's right, life happens. I got out of the car game for a bit to raise my kids, but now back at it full stride! So i understand that.

The Daytona looking Cobra that had that look were King Cobras which only 3 were made.

it's funny he said " if you are gonna do it, do it right" yet he completely took every part of this car apart and it is now scattered across a 4 state area. I'd rather pick one up out of a field that no one had ever jacked with. Good intentions, I get it,..but this is too much to deal with at this point.

Still trying to decide on what to do with it, keep it as a survivor, due a full restoration or a restromod or a prostreet with a coyote, either way it will be a cool ride. Had a thought of just selling it. After thirty three years you would think it would have been finished by now. So what is the consensus of the viewers? Anyhow. Again great job on the video.

The SCJ wouldn’t have a 3.25 rear. It was either 3.91 or 4.30 as stated plus the oil cooler. Basically it’s a
Known as Drag Pak option.
I love my torinos. I have a 70 convertible and a couple 70 1/2 falcons.
Beautiful car, but I always preferred the standard body style better even though it was not considered to be as sporty looking. To me this body style looked to bulky from the side, but I still would not turn it down..
