Yanai Ban Yasharun this isn’t a typical Galactus story. He’s usually not this crazy tyrannical, but of all the heralds he’s had he cherished the Silver Surfer the most. The only other herald that came close to meaning as much was the first Airwalker (he never appeared in story), who died defending Galactus. Galactus was moved enough to recreate him in mechanical construct, but he wasn’t the same.

I have to say Rob, that I am impressed by how thorough you are in story telling and in the way that you move through the comic panes at a pace which matches your story telling. Thank you for doing such a great job at explaining story lines that would otherwise require us to purchase an entire series of comic books to comprehend.
You need to do a powers explained video where you explain how powers work in variations i.e. Nightcrawler's teleportation Vs. Dr. strange's teleportation, etc.
I meant that as an example. There are a lot of variations on that. Sentry's energy source Vs. superman's energy source, Wolverine's martial arts prowess Vs. batman's, punisher's weapons expertise Vs. red hood's, etc. Not so much who would win but the difference in the capability
I think this would be a GREAT one to see. Things like comparing all the 'super soldier' characters and how their specific powersets function and what make them unique from each other and what makes them alike. What different teleporters have in common and sets them apart from one another (yes, like you said, things like Dr. Strange's teleportation and what makes it different from someone like Nightcrawler.) I think there are plenty of people out there who don't know how one, the other, or either work, in terms of Dr. Strange/Nightcrawler, and would be happy to hear the details laid out alongside the details of others who teleport. Stuff like characters who have exceptional durability and how/why they have it, and why theirs is unique from others that have the same sort of durability, but for a different reason or a form of it that functions in a different way. Same with flight, as there are plenty of characters that fly but do so in different ways that can have some very important ramifications. Stuff like Cannonball as opposed to Storm, Rogue as opposed to Thor; stuff like that. I doubt very much that it would be a 'two minute video' as crispy dango seems to think. I think it could easily be a series in need of being broken into several 20-30 minute videos, and that they could be very informative. Either crispy thought you only meant Strange/Nightcrawler, or they have zero critical thinking skills and are incapable of seeing how in-depth the topic could get in covering how these differences shape the characters, their choices, their actions, and the consequences of those choices and actions. I would *love* to see this topic covered, and to see it covered in great detail. As a kid, I had no idea how Storm actually took to the air for quite a while. When I finally stumbled across an issue that casually mentioned how her flight worked, I was like "The fuck? Why would she need to ride on wind if she can *fly*?" But as I read on through the years, and realized that she wasn't actually flying at all, but only using weather manipulation to cause winds to carry her into and through the air, it was one of those things that opened a door to considering just how varied powers could be to me.

This was the idea 💡 I once wanted to see, a Galactus gone mad, but on a much more grandiose level. I had wanted Marvel to do a story where Galactus consumes a planet 🌎, but due to its composition or due to a villain’s manipulation causes him to get strung out like an addict where he’s compelled to consume more and more with his power going off the charts with each consumption (Super-Galactus or Omni-Galactus). The threat would be so universal that it would involve more than just the Fantastic Four, Avengers and Shiar, but also cosmic beings and gods as well. Would have wanted to see him against the Stranger, Celestials, Odin Zeus, the Eternity the Living Tribunal, etc. John Buscema was my favorite comic book artist when I was young so I’m satisfied with his art, but I don’t care for the inking.

That made no sense to at all....................fast forward to about 7 yrs ago, i re - got interested in some story lines but because of the prices i couldn't keep up, so i just re-read the back issues i have and look out for any cheap prices of the ones i didn't get the chance to buy (around between 96 to about 2003 my life took a turn for the worse financially) so i had to stop ,even sell some.

Why is a blackhole an issue for the silversurfer? It's eventhorizon is the point where beyond it the gravity present is = to C. For our universe that means nothing may ever escape (mostly). But the silversurfer has gone many times the speed of C in his comics. Literally meaning a blackhole's event horizon would be the same as the surface of a lake. He could just fly right out of it.

You're right about infinity though, it takes an infinite amount of energy to accelerate something to the speed of light. But obviously SS has >infinite energy because he goes thousands of times over the universal speed limit. Time flows in the opposite direction once past the event horizon, outward is no longer an option. The speed of light is the speed of causality. It determines how events unfold in the universe. Tachyon s are theorized to go faster then the speed of light, but again they would move backwards in time.

When something slower than light gains infinite energy and crosses the light barrier supposedly it goes backward through time. Tacyons only move backwards. Scientist are searching for them but will only have the opportunity to observe one when it intersects with our time stream. You are correct that infinite energy is required to accelerate a particle/s past the light barrier in either direction.

You imagine working with material that effects precede your actions? I'm sorry if I did a poor job of explaining it, I barely understand it. Articulating it is probably past me, look up info on the arrow of time. Neil DeGrasse Tyson has some good things on it. That man is great at explaining math to laymen.

@ComicsExplained, love your channel I use to collect comics and cards back when I was a kid. I remember there was this awesome Marvel vs DC line where the winner would absorb the other's super power. I remember seeing batman with wolverine claws, but dont remember much else about it. Would be awesome if you could do a video on it though.
