This is the year for the horror genre based movies, I think so. It's going to be a mass treat for the horror fans in the big screen, can't able to wait to see this in the theatres. Please give the announcement update of this movie early as much as possible
Well I would like to see what the monster is. If it even has a form or is an actual monster. Some movies don’t show stuff because they are so bad they couldn’t show anything decent
Agreed!! Over the last few years I've been watching some Egyptian stuff, Spanish, Korean (obviously, lol!) and more, and there are some really great films and shows out there.
This looks amazingggg. The Caribbean has a lot of folklore too; soucouyant, lagahoo, la diablesse and douens. I'd love to see a proper horror movie based on one of them.
Yasss waiting for the Caribbean Diaspora to be repped in horror movies!! We have the talent, let’s make it happen!! 🎉🎉🎉 When it does happen, I hope they shed light on how the horrific slave trade, deception against indentured labourers, and kidnapping of people (especially women) shaped colonized Caribbean countries. These stories from our ancestors need more exposure.
FINALLY!! some good horror again! there has never been anything more haunting than the work of an aggressive demon in film, and for too long now I’ve been craving to see it. insidious, though it seems so silly nowadays, was perfect in its time. and the content of the paranormal activity movies-revolving around what a demon can and will do to mess with or harm you-were great depictions of that too. of course, the exorcist is a classic, and hereditary is one of my favorite movies of all time (though much different). but every time, demon movies just win. ugh, I can’t wait to be scared of the dark again LOL. and I never thought I’d say that. looking forward to it!!
As someone who love all things horror and is never fazed my horror movies, the one thing that scares me more than anything is glowing eyes with a dark silhouette. “Lights out” comes to mind. And I don’t mean like animal eyes reflecting in the dark, I mean unnatural glowing eyes.
"Lights Out" was cool! Had my doubts, but the part of the trailer that sold it for me was the scratching at the floor...she turned the lights on and it was gone...lights out, continued...until they made eye contact...CREEPY!
I'm literally the same. Glowing eyes in the darkness still won't let me sleep and I've been watching horror movies for over a decade. What's interesting is that I was talking to a friend about this movie and I assimilated it with Lights Out too.
Oh gosh. Lights out scared the heck outta me when it came out. The scene in her room where she’s scratching at the floor and the red light flickers on and off? Ooof. Terrifying.
Movies have been doing that for years watch all the foreign films that get put out loads of horror of different cultures they are brilliant instead of all the crap Hollywood puts outs
What do you mean opening up, you do realize different nations have horror movies centered around they’re own cultures, I really don’t see why when companies in white countries focus on traditional European stories it’s viewed as culturally bland. Maybe you should “open up” and start watching horror movies that are produced by countries like Korea, Japan, India etc… instead of relying on white nations to produce “cultural” content.
A movie based on India's culture seems really interesting. It's nice to see something from other cultures. Hope the movie does it justice. Will be watching this one for sure

its about time there's a horror movie with a middle eastern/indian family and protagonist. Im not even indian, im black, but to see this is refreshing. No hate to white people or anything, im just sick of seeing the same caricature of characters in these horror movies. Also, the concept of this movie reminds me of "it follows". Anyone seen that one?

Very spooky movie about Indian culture. Definitely going to watch this. I hope there is a scene where she goes potty and wipes her bottom with her bare hand, and then maybe she is tormented because she accidentally wiped with her right hand instead of the left hand. The video’s thumbnail certainly might be foreshadowing this in some way. I cannot wait to see what happens!
Has anyone noticed the real horror is the fact that our attention span as humans declined so bad that they need to show us a catchy mini trailer before starting the actual trailer just to get our attention and make us watch the entire video...
I just saw this last night! I LOVED it! It was a creepy movie for sure! It was so REFRESHING to see a horror film from another culture like this. I felt so immersed in their culture so idk it was creepy seeing the horror from their point of view

@@judas7585 Sure, the greatest and deepest culture existing, especially concerning mythological matters in fact, is "tired", how not. Oh my, people in this day and age have no minimal clue of what they are talking about.

Hes a creature from other universe that enjoys the taste of fear so much he tries to terrorize his meals as much as possible before eating them. He has eaten entire galaxies worth of planets one creature at a time. This leads to some good plottwists on who is a bad guy and who is trying to get the protagonist as enraged as possible for the greater good.

This is the year for the horror genre based movies, I think so. It's going to be a mass treat for the horror fans in the big screen, can't able to wait to see this in the theatres. Please give the announcement update of this movie early as much as possible

Excellent trailer. Never show the "monster." Always tease it. Always make us want it more. Bravo to the editor. ❤
But there was too much shouting
@@AbhishekOverall Cry us a fuckin' river then 🤷♂️
Yeah but they tell u what the entity is, it’s better to find out in the movie. Less Is more when it comes to horror trailers
They barely showed it in the movie, but it is a practical effect, so that's cool
Well I would like to see what the monster is. If it even has a form or is an actual monster. Some movies don’t show stuff because they are so bad they couldn’t show anything decent
Us Horror Fans eating GOOOD this year!! Love to see it
Mmm not really to be fair we have had some hits evil dead rises and scream were pretty good this looks like itll be below average at best
Horror goes into interesting places when it deals with different cultures
Agreed!! Over the last few years I've been watching some Egyptian stuff, Spanish, Korean (obviously, lol!) and more, and there are some really great films and shows out there.

This is by Bishal Dutt from Assam, India. Proud of him.
This looks amazingggg. The Caribbean has a lot of folklore too; soucouyant, lagahoo, la diablesse and douens. I'd love to see a proper horror movie based on one of them.
Yasss waiting for the Caribbean
Diaspora to be repped in horror movies!! We have the talent, let’s make it happen!! 🎉🎉🎉
When it does happen, I hope they shed light on how the horrific slave trade, deception against indentured labourers, and kidnapping of people (especially women) shaped colonized Caribbean countries. These stories from our ancestors need more exposure.

FINALLY! A horror movie to look forward to, the sound design and Cinematography are insane!
I’m getting drenched with blessings as a horror fan
FINALLY!! some good horror again! there has never been anything more haunting than the work of an aggressive demon in film, and for too long now I’ve been craving to see it. insidious, though it seems so silly nowadays, was perfect in its time. and the content of the paranormal activity movies-revolving around what a demon can and will do to mess with or harm you-were great depictions of that too. of course, the exorcist is a classic, and hereditary is one of my favorite movies of all time (though much different). but every time, demon movies just win. ugh, I can’t wait to be scared of the dark again LOL. and I never thought I’d say that. looking forward to it!!
Same here 😳
Oh gosh. Lights out scared the heck outta me when it came out. The scene in her room where she’s scratching at the floor and the red light flickers on and off? Ooof. Terrifying.
God this looks so good! Giving me It Follows vibes. Only know Megan Suri from Never Have I Ever, glad she's getting more work.
I thought the same.
Yes! And I really loved the concept of It Follows so I'm excited for this one. 😊
reminded me of smile and it follows
I've seen both but I loved It Follows more. This did have a couple of spooky scenes tho. The bathroom light scene had our theater pretty spooked!

Oh wow! This looks fresh seen from an Indian perspective of horror! Cinema is definitely opening up to the horrors of all cultures. Big up!!!!🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Movies have been doing that for years watch all the foreign films that get put out loads of horror of different cultures they are brilliant instead of all the crap Hollywood puts outs
I saw a scary one like 3 years ago they been doing this
@@michaeldonovan231Like what?
@@920mario can you tell the name?
What do you mean opening up, you do realize different nations have horror movies centered around they’re own cultures, I really don’t see why when companies in white countries focus on traditional European stories it’s viewed as culturally bland. Maybe you should “open up” and start watching horror movies that are produced by countries like Korea, Japan, India etc… instead of relying on white nations to produce “cultural” content.
As an indian I confirm that pisach is real. My grandmother told me many story about pisach, maya, jadu tona ( black magic ), and jinn.🗿🗿

gotta say that visual of the boyfriend bouncing around like a puppet really freaked me out. looks like a really cool movie!
Wow, this looks incredible!!! It's been a VERY VERY long time since a trailer has had me on edge. This certainly did that! 👀
A movie based on India's culture seems really interesting. It's nice to see something from other cultures. Hope the movie does it justice. Will be watching this one for sure

Thank you Bishal Dutta Da(Director ) for making this type of Horror movie in Hollywood. An Assamese boy making fantastic, marvelous, outstanding, super hit movie in Hollywood,, Love form Assam, India..We are all proud of you Bro..Keep up the good work.. we always support you..
Terrible film
its about time there's a horror movie with a middle eastern/indian family and protagonist. Im not even indian, im black, but to see this is refreshing. No hate to white people or anything, im just sick of seeing the same caricature of characters in these horror movies. Also, the concept of this movie reminds me of "it follows". Anyone seen that one?
Just saw this, this weekend! It was amazing! It one of the best horror film I’ve seen in a while
It's been a decade since a horror movie has given goose bumps
Guess u not watching any good ones lol or u can relate to this?
@@920mario she needs to start The Evil Dead franchise and The Conjuring. I will see her then. 😂
Seriously lol hereditary and conjuring and insidious
@@benji3030 hereditary was not at all scary. Babadook and drag me to hell were great though. Also the the haunting of hill house and bly manor were amazing series.
I am sick and tired of this types of comments.
Next to A24, NEON is one of my favorite film distributors, they put out quality content consistently, if at the very least intriguing/interesting. Especially when it comes to thrillers/horror. Also the eyes in the closet genuinely creeped me out, reminds me of being a kid and thinking you see something in your closet or not, and subtle. Going to close my closet door now, thanks.
Idc if everything else they put out from this point on is shit, they put out one of my favorite thrillers in years with Luce, everything else is just gravy.
Neeru bajwa🙂from laung lachi song😋😋 Whoever liked the trailer of this movie, once again listen to the "Laung Lachi" song, it is a great song.😉😉
Finally we been waiting for. An indian horror mythology with hollywood vfx.👌👌
I need a movie series that dives into mythological horror from different cultures. I’d want them all to be set in the same universe but different time periods?
It's amazing to see people crafting stories on Indian Mythology and lore, definitely a huge basket of information and creativity.
Looking forward to see this.
Do Indians still shit on streets? That's some scary stuff.
yes it is , thank God its production from Hollywood , if Bollywood try to make itthis , it gonna be messedup whole story upside down. thats what Bollywood does all the time . Looks Interesting.
Movie looks nice and quiet unique too.. Great performances with some Indian elements... looks interesting 😊
If pisach comes for you.. Try hanuman chalisha.. It will fear and run away.. Jai hanuman. 🙏🏼
😂😂😂
Has anyone noticed the real horror is the fact that our attention span as humans declined so bad that they need to show us a catchy mini trailer before starting the actual trailer just to get our attention and make us watch the entire video...
I love that we're getting more horror from other cultures, a treasure trove of folklore
That soundtrack is so fire 🔥
This is what I live for as a movie fan.
My country have so many stories, passing from generations to generations waiting to be told by such a big platform as Hollywood.
I just saw this last night! I LOVED it! It was a creepy movie for sure! It was so REFRESHING to see a horror film from another culture like this. I felt so immersed in their culture so idk it was creepy seeing the horror from their point of view
Damn the thing that was inside the closet reminds me that time I was searching for my dog in backyard around 2:00 am. I thought I saw my dog inside bushes near the shed but no it was strange shadow looking at me with glowing eyes just like the thing in the closet. The reason I knew it wasn't my dog because I got near the bushes nothing was there.

Cool story bro
As a horror fan it is already a great year and it will be greatest too.....
Thanks to apply our Indian origin ghost 'Pisach'❤
so happy to see a movie go elsewhere w/ the horror. ever culture has its own horror. I love seeing it
When we were kids even my mom used to tell me a story, not of demons but of Lord Hanuman, Krishna, Shiva, Bhagath sing, etc...
Appreciate the effort they put in because it's not easy to make a movie about Indian culture and systems without proper understanding. Be it Bhoot, Preta, Pishaci, Rakshasa Or Asura Hanuman got us covered. If anyone is in any kind of problem just ask him with true devotion he'll be there.
Sing Hanuman Chalisa once a day and no Pisaach will ever get close to you:

Interesting concept. I've listened to a lot of myths and cryptid stories from around the world and India has quite a few freaky folk tales and entities that could adapt for really frightening horror stories. We don't usually hear about horror movies with an Indian background so this has potential
Got some "It Follows" vibes from a couple scenes. Lots of other unique scenes in here, looks great!
Oh hell yeah finally a horror that's going to get me on the edge of my seat and get me to go sea a therapist afterwards... I think I need to book 1 now after that trailer. Goosebumps 🙌🏾.

Dude…the horror genre is just stepping it up lately and I am so. here. for. it.
This horror movie is the only horror movie I trust that is gonna deliver the “horror”. All these scary movies that have been releasing these past few years have been shit and are never scary at all but this movie definitely gives “lights out” vibes so I know it’s gonna be good.

I'm glad these possession films are starting to look more like psychological horror rather than just the exorcism. I'm gonna be comparing this to Talk to Me very hard when it comes out though because for me; that film is my new peak for possession horror.
My mum's side of the family is from Gujarat and even this gave me chills, thinking how this demon exists in mythology. I thought it was brilliant how they have incorporated mythology into films though it scares me to think about.
Thrilled to watch this one! Neeru Bajwa rocks.
The Scariest thing in horror movies is not knowing and not seeing what it is following you around. When a monster is shown, it ruins it for me.

Can't wait to watch this on the big screen!!
This year has been amazing with horror films. I love elevated horror. Not just jumpscares, but an underline story of grief with creepy as music and visionary. Hereditary was the start for me with these movies. I was mainly a slasher fan. Can’t wait for Thanksgiving to come out.
Insanely good movie! 100% worth the watch! watched it last night with a bunch of friends we all really enjoyed it.
Only downside to the stream we watched was there was zero english subtitles for all the Hindi parts so we just had no clue what was being said :( but otherwise very very good, love that more horror films are diving into more folk lore of other cultures!
These demons remind me of the Djinn, of shadow beings that are attracted to bad energy, and feed off our negative thoughts. The movie looks terrifying. I can't wait to see it.
Cant wait to watch it!! Looks good 🎉🎉

Yes its about time horror movies stop making horror movies about Christianity like its tired
@@judas7585 Yes, wouldn't it be refreshing it for once they made other religions the "bad guy"?
I mean, it'd be way more enjoyable if these "cultural" horror films were capable of making said movie WITHOUT anti-whiteism, like this one and "Get Out", etc. You don't need to piss on other cultures/people to promote yours. Then it would be more enjoyable.
@@judas7585 Sure, the greatest and deepest culture existing, especially concerning mythological matters in fact, is "tired", how not. Oh my, people in this day and age have no minimal clue of what they are talking about.
@lavir74 girl what are you on about 🙄
@@judas7585 Are you able to read? Maybe they still that in school.
This reminds me of the demon Neo from the manga "Toriko", (which is a totally awesome read btw).
Hes a creature from other universe that enjoys the taste of fear so much he tries to terrorize his meals as much as possible before eating them. He has eaten entire galaxies worth of planets one creature at a time.
SPOILERS: However as a side effect he truly hates the taste of rage (which is kind of the opposite reaction to his cruel antics), so getting the protagonist furious instead of afraid is absolutely key to defeating him. This leads to some good plottwists on who is a bad guy and who is trying to get the protagonist as enraged as possible for the greater good.
Finally the demons from india is getting a worth while movie!!!!
Finally Indian ghost story in Hollywood 😍
