ENGL Amps can be used for almost every style of Music. I know a Jazz Guitarrist who found his perfect Amp for his purposes. That Amp is the ENGL Invader 2 and he still uses AND he would NEVER give it away, he told me recently. As for me, I own the ENGL Fireball 60, which is despite of -40 Watt still an enraged beast!
This sounds really good! I'm discovering Engl amps lately. They've been floating just outside of my field of view. I know they're there, but I've never paid attention to them for some reason.
O man, I wish this was about the new fireball 25, I would really love to see a real demo of that, I hope you will make one and maybe a direct comparison with this fireball 100. Great job as always! Passive-aggressive metal FTW! :D
this is sick. awesome job! that amp sounds like the only amp any musician would ever need. I WANT ONE!!! thank you so much! but, one thing: could you do a demo without the drum/band fill? I think having both with and with out a band mix would give the best demo of the tone the amp produces. I know, other channels do that, but rarely are they of the quality and depth as your demo. thanks again!
The crazy thing about this beautiful amp is that you don't really need to set the lead gain past about 9-10 o'clock on the dial to get some really aggressive gain structures that are perfect for hard rock and metal of all types... truly insane how much gain is on tap.
@Me LikeYou No, what for? You can't anyway make that sound. Everything is individual. It’s just very convenient to compare the sound outside the mix. In the same conditions.
My bandmate has this masterpiece of an amp, thanks for the review 😄 Looking forward to an in depth review og the Laney Ironheart as well 😄 Your Laney Mini vs Big amp comparison was the reason I bought my Ironheart 120 head 😄
Damn such a nice riff. Combining with a great amp. The clean, crunch, high gain is amazing. Such a versatile amp. I think the high gain character is very modern loke evh amp. Ill get this amps.
Amazing riffing once again, best amp reviews on TH-cam hands down. Can i ask is there any particular amp/ guitar you find yourself gravitating towards out of all the gear you have.
The Fireball does a really great job and seems quite versatile... For me it was either the Fireball 100 or the Savage 120... both were used as a halfstack and in really great condition but in the end I shot the Savage 120 with new tubes in it and my dear thats quiet a HUGE jump from a former Engl Screamer to this beast.
IMO you dial the best tones of pretty much every amp on TH-cam. Would you consider sharing some of the DI you use on your videos? I would love to reamp them to see how some of my amp sims compare against the real amps dialed to perfection. Learn where they are lacking and such.
Another sick video Jon. What Ownhammer cab package would you recommend. I'd still love to see the whole process and cabling for the reamp process. You get it sounding so good 👍
I have the ENGL Fireball 60. Purchased this one back in 2011 or 2012... I don't remember the exact year, but the Fireball 60 is also an enraged beast in it's own right... despite the 40 less Watt. I would never give this one away, since it can be considered a classic ENGL Amp :) Wouldn't you agree?
Didn't expect it to be that versatile. Most demos just show how much metal it can do. Great demo, thanks! But what happens if you dial the gain above 11 o'clock on the lead channel? Does it melt your face off or is there really no need for it? ;)
I'd be really interested in seeing a demo of the EVH 5150 III 50W Stealth. I don't know if you have it in your arsenal, but I'm considering buying the amp, and would love to see and hear a really in depth demo like what you do. 🤞
Great video as always, dude! :) Is there the possibility of you doing a comparison between some of your amps and their helix models? Cheers from Germany!
Late comment, but have you made a video comparing the fireball and the vh2? Very interested in hearing your production of these Deutsch amps in a shootout
Nothing but high class sounds. But take into account that a different cabinet (or IR) can make an amp sound completely different. Yes, you can get quite a few sounds out of the Engl Fireball, but having different cabs and guitars help.
Your video's are stellar my friend. makes me want to buy them all but I sent ya message a while back on the grandmiester 40 which I will stick with for some time. If I really wanna go crazy and piss off the neighbours I will bring out my old trusty JCM 800 I bought new in 1984. Its beat to fuck after 20 years of road work but man Marshall built a good amp back then! Keep up the great vids, guitar selection is cool to! The old guy from Canada says so...TC
HEYHOO!!! WHAT A GUITAR-NERD HAHA REALLY COOL!!! UNCREDIBLE VIDEOS!!! PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO FROM THE ENGL ARTIST 100 BLACKOUT E651 ITS A VERY COOL AMP I THINK... I SAY PROST FROM GERMANY!
I would love to see you do a video using the Footswitch on the fireball. I have read some things about it that make it sound a little strange. The Z-4 pedal changes the clean to lead but won’t change the master volume switch without a second button getting stomped which is confusing. When you switch the fireball from clean to lead on the front of the amp, it automatically switched master volume controls, but with the Footswitch it doesn’t? Strange! Would love for you to address this!
do you own a Gibson Les Paul Custom by chance? I would really enjoy seeing you demo with an LP Custom. It's my favorite guitar and the one I play the most.
Because the ENGL Amps are well known High Gain Monsters. It is simply not necessary to crank the Gain Knob to the maximum. As you can hear for yourself, this one sounds like an enraged beast! :)
Dude. This is one of the highest gain amps on the market. With a high output pickup and tone at max, it’s already beyond fully saturated and breaking when the gain is at just 4. Dialling it beyond 6-7 just turns it into mush because there’s too much, even though the Fireball’s gain structure also tightens as it goes up, but only by so much. Then you’d need an EQ and boost pedal to further tighten the tone and cut out some frequencies.
I wish you would compare this FB100 to a Diezel VH2. My country doesnt have these brands. I am torn between the two. I hope one day have to for a comparison.
Did you ever try low treble and high presence? That’s how I play it i much prefer it. Really brings out the mids and I find the presence less harsh than the treble, personally. It seems to go against the conventional wisdom, tho.
haha "Unwritten Law- the celebration song" i know exactly what you mean. now excuse me while i go and fire up NFSU2 again, still the best in the series.
The only thing I don’t like is the clean channel doesn’t have its own eq. That’s the only reason I want the savage mk2. I feel like my metal eq wouldn’t sound good switched to the clean channel. It would be nice to have its own eq. Thoughts on this?
Brother, did you like its treble knob range? And did you use it a lot with the xload? I feel like doing the same but I'm hesitant about using the xload's full power (100w head with no cab). Thx and Jesus bless you!
one of my fav amps...sooo many great tones out of it...major bummer is tho...shared EQ...if they made this a 3ch amp with independent EQ's then it'd be perfect, sadly you have to compromise across all 3ch in a live situation
the fireball is an incredible amp 👌 I had a powerball 2 which I hated ... a synthetic amp, too smooth and anemic but to my surprise the fireball is just the opposite
Agree. That was also the reason I bought Fireball. I had chance to compare them one to one at Thomann showroom. Fireball is more define and you get what you want out of it much easier.

Despite its reputation as a metal amp, the Fireball 100 really is one of the most versatile amps on the market.
These all sound great, but I'm even more impressed that you're able to crank out examples for 25 different genres like it's nothing!
Yeah, no shit!! Teles to 8-strings
The playing is the real standout here. The amount of genres covered is wild.
This channel should have a million subs
Agree
over 9000 million at least.
I mean, every tone sounded polished and mix ready. Jon, your skills, tone creation and mixing abilities are sick!
Thank you very much bro!
@@SonicDriveStudio Did you apply any post EQ?
And great riffs for days! All of the exact gear that I would kill to have as well. How do you it?!
You should release these as backing tracks for us to practice our soloing on. Seriously inspiring. I'd buy them without thinking twice.

50 guitar plugins: 4 good tones
1 tube amp: endless amazing tones
It's cool that your sounds here are kicking the shit out of the various guitar plugin adds that I'm seeing advertised in between.
Your demos are the best I've seen out of any youtube guitarist. How your videos don't have way more views is beyond me.
absolutely phenomenal! nothing but A+ sounds on every style.
I just stumbled upon this channel looking for some cab demos, this is amazing.
12: 36 was my kind of riffing and even my EQ settings more or less so that was tremendously useful. Thank you.
This is what I’m talking about!! Awesome playing and Awesome demo of the Amp! 😇😎🎸🎸🍺🍺
This sounds really good! I'm discovering Engl amps lately. They've been floating just outside of my field of view. I know they're there, but I've never paid attention to them for some reason.
Top shelf. You should be the spokesman for ENGL diversity tones.
Superb playing,
Superb sound.

Passive-aggressive metal FTW! :D
I don't feel the need to buy one myself but of course I'd love to try one. I imagine the sound is quite similar.
Of course, quite understandable. :)
this is sick. awesome job! that amp sounds like the only amp any musician would ever need. I WANT ONE!!! thank you so much!

The chimey humbucker part sounds so good 😃 fantastic sounds and great playing 👌
One of the best demos I’ve ever watched bro🔥
I've bought that amp, it's great. Your settings will be my inspiration for getting different sounds. Thanks!
Best review i've ever seen of this amp!!!

Very informative video, all the various sounds you can get out of this amp, and some ridiculously amazing playing to boot.
Like your demos and comparisons a lot and your playing as well, thanks man, these are very useful things.
Awesome tones. Always liked Engls.
Unusual to see mid almost at max for bay area thrash sound but ENGLs do always sound scooped. Cool video as always!
Just found your surfing through Engl vids. Killer!

Subscribed. The rare listenable/enjoyable demo. Appreciated brother.
We have it, since 2008. Many albums recorded with fireball. Great amp!
Man you're playing is unreal
Super demo!
Super playing!

savage/blackmore/artist edition are engls best work imo. nothing sounds like the savage platform
I have the Screamer head and i think it sounds great but goddamn it looks like the Savage annihilates it lol. Can't afford it, though

Check out my recent GhostHour EP! :)
Does this amp have as much gain as a 6505+?
These tones are INSANE!!!! did you try this amp profiled with a Kemper??. Great Video dude!!! 😉
Next video.
Can you do Cabinet battle?
Sick playing bro. I guess I don't need a new amp afterall. thanks
really nice demo! i sold my fireball years ago because i just couldn't get it dialed in :(
What are you using to them great reverb/delays
Great sound and playing 👍BTW: It sounds like you double most tracks - or is it kind of a short delay effect?
Double tracked
Hey Jon great video! Which amp do you like best, ENGL Fireball 100 or Victory Super Kraken?
do you own a Gibson Les Paul Custom by chance? I would really enjoy seeing you demo with an LP Custom. It's my favorite guitar and the one I play the most.
hey whats your favorite IR to pair with the fireball? also keep up the great content!
The OwnHammer 412 ENG pack I think at this time. That's a good match!
@@SonicDriveStudio thanks a Lot!
Such a great High Gain amp
why don't use the gain full?

is the fireball a 2 ch of the Powerball?
Hi from Argentina
Hi :)
Man..... this or the rivera knucklehead tre... both have killer cleans and crushing gain.... similar price....
Hi - it shared EQ for both clean and dirty. Can you get good clean with the same EQ as when dirty is dialed in?
This vs Mesa Mark V 90?
The 8......ooooooh the the 8. That's the one
