But I'd still love a 4 hole some day or maybe that new 20w studio series vintage or JCM. I love your videos, i watch all of them. You're an amazing player

Yeah it’s a really good amp indeed! I had the Plexi dialled in for really ”buttery” sound since a track I was recording, prior shooting this video, for my second solo album called for that type of tone. But anyways the Fireball is really good. Actually better than I remembered 😎👌.

Killer video. I just got a Fireball 25 and I'm having as much fun as you seem to be having with the Fireball 100 here! I love with it with an Earthquaker Plumes for a boost. Gotta pick up another SD-1 so I can give that.a try. Great amps though. Seriously blown away by this little 25 watter.
I used to have the original Fireball 60 and it was a monster of an amp. Hurting your back moving around that half stack was worth it on stage when you cranked it :)
Great review! I actually own this amp, and love it. It's a total monster. The only thing I disagree with is the boost. Of course, it comes down to personal preference, but in my experience the FB100 doesn't need any additional compression or tightening, and has more mojo with the gain opened up a little more. If you like the way your boost pedal EQs your signal, then great. But I've always gotten better results from this amp by feeding it an unboosted signal.
This is my favorite Engl...I also have the Victor Smolski at the moment, also killer but less capable of the organic feel of the F100. Also the F100 takes boost pedals better. I have also owned the Engl SE and the Savage, in the end the Fireball stayed and those were sold.
I hear you on less features and I've had and do have amps with lots of features and those without. I've had amazing results with both. I have a BFG modified 2002 Dual Rec that sounds incredible. I also am in love with the lead to on my Mark V. You have me wanting a Fireball 100.
Man that ENGL has that grind I see why you like it I would love to see you try a VHT pittbull 100 watt head or the Fryette pittbull 100 I think those amp will be on my wish list. Great Video
Very good sounding amp! The advantages over Marshalls is that you can sound massive without cranking it on full and have a good sounding clean channel, too! Marshalls need to be full volume to sound good, not practical without an attenuator.
Hi, I you still using the fireball 25? I’d be interested to hear how you find it after having for over a year. I’m looking into getting one, it just seems so versatile! How is it at practice/low volume? Thank Dan
Oh I just borrowed it from a local music store to do the video. My main amps are my old Marshall JCM800 2203s from the 80s I’ve been using since 90s 💪😎.
This really is the best fireball review on the internet’s. You should get your hand on an oldschool 60w and review it, to compare. As you have used it on a record.
Mine arrived a few weeks ago. Got a 'returned item' and paid only $1,675. These things have great value. Sounds like it should be $3,000. I too like them simple. Can't see myself needed any other high-gain amp. I have a 1986 JCM 800 too. Both rawk 😉. True about the gain. Too much on channel two, but the low setting is great. It might be worth modding it to bring more sweep into the dial. You didn't mention it, but there is a noise gate on the back.
i didnt expect a plexi sound on the clean channel. They did a good job with this amp. The Powerball might have too many shared components between those 4 channels and compromises were made i guess.
I actually like Fireball more with SD than with TS. With TS it is too hard, with SD it is open and softer. I must admit that I like Fireball more than the Bad Boy. It sounds more clean, tight and polished. Great job, Euge!
Amp with less features. Cheaper mostly and quicker to get a good sound out of. The more features, more expensive and sometimes way more difficult to get a good sound out off. I've also got the engl se. Great amp....once you understand it. If you don't. well then it's a pain in the ass. I don't really use it allot. But it served me well tough. It's a great amp also.
Awesome review.. Completely understand what you mean about the openness of the amp. It's also got good punch and harmonic content, I've got the fireball 60 with ehx 6l6 tubes and it sounds warmer and less harsh than the original tubes. The amps indeed have the mojo but so do you bro! 🤟😎👌
Modern metal needs valves to be able to generate some higher even order harmonics and at least some audible odd order harmonics to produce the mean, raunchy, sleazy and evil sounds that comes out of solid-state equipment for the reasons I loosely mentioned. With valves, this is why we traverse the mountain of analog stomp boxes. I am still testing equipment on the 3 tube amps I own but the most recent is a Bugera clone of the Peavey XXX, and with this amp I'm finally getting some of the sleaze, raunch and meanness with my GP200 plugged straight into it because although it's digital, it's still loaded with semiconductors. I love valves, but there are characteristics of solid-state I value a lot more. The downfall is with solid-state, you hear *EVERYTHING!* Transient noise, what sounds like white noise due to ultra high, even order harmonics that get into 100Khz, and this is the root of why they sound meaner, harsher and sleazy. *Nobody likes being told their tube amps are processing your sound quite heavily and what comes out of your speaker is almost exclusively a copy lol.* (you're oscillating a high voltage D.C. and blending it with the A.C. pattern) Very little of your guitar's true electron signal is getting into the signal that reaches the speaker. *I'm an amateur electrical/electronics engineer phrased this way simply because I didn't complete my degree, but I did more than enough to be designing my own semiconductor based amp without valves but sealing the gaps between the 2 technologies.* The solutions are absurdly simple and slipped through the cracks in our industry's technology because how everything has been developed and by who has developed it. Those of us that shred and sweep through all types of clean and dirty tones imaginable simply have more knowledge and insight on what needs corrected, but there's never been anyone interested in the right way to create a recipe for the how.* In that, I have always said semiconductors can do exactly what tubes are used for and do it phenomenally better, there's just never been a *financial incentive* for franchised brands to do it, *but in this they have finally just started in digital.* The software solutions bypassed the more complex required architecture from analog, *but I am still saying on record analog semiconductors will still to it much better.*
Paras engl mitä oot testannut 👌🏻Ehkä vähän vähemmän gainia riittäisi. Nyt gaini taso hyppää samantien liian ylös. Musix:lla on näköjään hyvä valikoima vahvistimia, cool!
If you can get your hands on one, try out Laney Ironheart. Think you might like it. Played one for years and never quite got the same out of other amps.
Cheers Euge! I own the fireball 100 but haven't played any other ENGL amps. From all the ENGLS you've played, is the fireball your 3rd favorite? (I've seen your other videos were you say Savage and MFriedman are your top favorites. Best regards!!!
I'm keeping eye on the fireball 25, really good price to get if you're in Finland, I mean made in Germany... this chip shortages are making it bit hard to reach nowadays but still. Please reply if there is any store I can order to Helsinki other than thomann.
Just got a Silver Jubilee to replace my old JCM 800, not really doing the trick. Is the Fireball a better replacement for the 800 than a silver jubilee? Thanks! and very informative as always Mr. Valovirta!
I know I asked you about the Savage 120 Mark 2 and the Friedman signature, but out those to and this one, which would you choose? I love having the idea of separate clean and distorted eq channels. I also don’t really see myself needing 4 channels. Does the shared eq with dialing in a good distortion equal a crappy clean? Or does it not change too much?
Thanks man! I’ve played one once and boy that was good indeed. The original Peavey 5150 is kinda based on that. It’d be cool to compare them since I have the OG block letter 5150 😎.
@@EugeValovirta230V yes it would. I once owned a 5150 half stack. Never got to enjoy it. Too much for a bedroom player. That’s why I never got an all tube until that 20 watt DSL. That thing is perfect for me. Thanks to you sir. 🤘🏻

I've always wanted to try one of those ENGL amplifiers out, but I never see them in the USA. I'm not a fan of amps with lots of knobs or channels, etc. However, over the internet it sounds worth checking out. I wonder what speaker's and tubes they use in them?
Different cabs with different speakers and many different amps with different tubes. They have a good & informative website so please check it out for details: www.engl-amps.com/
@@EugeValovirta230V Great playing! My friends in other band have this engl fireball 60 and evh 5150 50w heads. Live, evh cuts much better because it has much more mids, do you have any experience how would marshall amps compare to evh or peavey in the mids department?
You make sound everything good. Like you said: tone is in you fingers. What I want to know is what kind of picks you use, because in my opinion picks are just as important as your hands.
I think this Engl edges out the Powerball. Neither really sound like 6L6 tube amps typically sound....more EL34-ish (I think). I totally agree that simplicity of the amp rules supreme. The more electronics (options) you add to an amp, the more it messes with the tone and the more fiddling around you end up doing rather than actually playing. So the Fireball...simplicity, most Marshall-like, less pricey...for the win (of the Engl amps, of course). Killer playing as always Euge!
Most people don't know it, but in German, "fire" means "enormous." German also has no plurals. So the proper name of the amp is the Enormous Balls 100. One-hundred being the balls measurement in metric testaculons.
It does indeed. Yeah I founded the one about 25 years ago; my Marshall JCM800 2203 aka ’The Bad Boy’ 💪. I just borrowed the ENGL to do the video. It’s a great amp but Marshall is always a Marshall 💪👌😎.
@@EugeValovirta230V sorry, if this has been covered already. The 2203 "bad boy": any mods you have done to it? Quite some nice gain in that one. I just wondered if, it's a special version of the JCM 800? I would like to track down the best one, ever build and get one for myself. But used market is a jungle. Some warnings of the newer, late 80's versions. I like the sounds you get from your 800! Very close to what I consider the right Marshall sound: open dynamic and articulated. 😃👍
No worries man 😎. It’s pretty much stock. Here’s a few videos about it: th-cam.com/video/5s-Dd9C-tno/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/5I6nTYCEpVs/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/_OSB1TkIx3o/w-d-xo.html
i'm curious wich one is better. The black fireball 100 or the silver plated 60. really don't know. I do know i can get those old fireballs for like 500 or somthing, they're dirt cheap these days. Had a silver plated powerball once, killer killer amp.
Probably the 60. I haven’t compared them side to side but if I remember correct the 60 felt a bit more ”organic” in a way. In general I like old / older amps that has more of a vintage feel. I mean my all time favourite amps are JCM800 2203 and Plexis 👌😎.
It sounds Heuge! I must try a ts in mine instead of sd1. It was surprisingly close to the Marshall, I was using my eyes to much while setting the gain on 9 o'clock, maybe less is needed and a ts style OD. It could have a lower tapering on the gain, really ridiculous amount🤣
you know there also is a kreator version of this amp engl extreme agression or something, very very sick amp??. very limited. Also with this amp i saw. pressence pretty low, trble up. then this engl sings. Sonic drive studios tested this amp also. straight in without overdrive pedals or something.
would you say the fireball opens up more if you dial in more presence or didn't you like it? On my Powerball I run presence usually around 7-8. I am really interested if that would sound more open and even closer to the 800.
Yeah I had it pretty much cranked 😎. Around 8 if I remember correct. It was as close to my 800 as I could get it and spent only a few minutes dialing it 👌.
Great amp. this Fireball . What do you think are the main differences between this Fireball and Blackmore model ? Wich one do you think it sounds best and why ? Wich one is more open sounded and less compress ?
Yes indeed. Fireball is more like my 800s and more open and not as compressed as the Blackmore. Please check out my video about the Blackmore if you’re interested 😎👌. I’ll do a comparison video also in the near future so stay tuned 😉.
@@EugeValovirta230V I heard your clip with Engl Blackmore but it is a little strange beacause you use many different settings and not the same guitars as you used with a Fireball . So is hard for me to tell . Every one from Engl group on facebook and on the Engl forums says that the model Engl Blackmore is the more open sounded from Engl amps , but from your clips it seems that the Blackmore is just brighter sounding amp , and the Fireball is more open sounded . I don't know and i guess i can't go for a certain conclusion only if i will both amps in tbe same clip , similar settings , same guitars , etc . And by the way Engl Blackmore use for poweramp 5881 tubes not 6L6GC . They are similar with 6L6 but lower wattage (only 23 watt per tube) and a slightly different sound .
@@EugeValovirta230V Hmm that is very very strange . This amp. (you can check on the net) came stock with 5881 power tubes , te lower wattage version of 6L6GC tubes . Two special limited editions of this amp. were made in the past , one is Engl Blackmore FastHand motion (wich has EL34 in power amp. section) and has a very middy sound , and the other one is Engl Blackmore SlowHand motion (and has 6L6GC in power amp) . But those are limited editions of this amp. To the later versions they added the noise gate circuit behind on the lead (4 channel) wich was not present on the original design . Maybe , and I say maybe because i am not sure , but it is possible that in those later versions with noise gate they put also the 6L6GC tubes instead of 5881 . I don't know , but i can tell you that everyone on the net wich owns or have tried this amp says that the version with 5881 is the best version , and the more open sounded from all Engl amps . Remain to be seen , i am sure that if will make a comparation clip between those amps you will set properly the eq and gain on the Blackmore to sound as good as the Fireball or the JCM 800 . I like to use these amps like you used the Powerball II (crunch channel gain at max , mids at max , the treble is also important and after that just pushed with the od) . With Engl i never used SD1 , only TS9 vintage or DOD 250 vintage grey version not the new reissue made in China versions wich are something else and thin sounding .
So In your opinion, is the Fireball closest to a good JCM800 with a boost? Any other amps that have less modern hi gain compression and a more open sound like a JCM800?
Hey Euge great playing!!! I see those heads pretty cheap on Reverb used. Hey I was wondering if you could demo a Orange solid state head and compare. You know alot of old school bands are using them. Pepper from Corrosion of Conformity switched to them from mesa. To be honest I really think Marshall is the best sound you can get. I mean look at Judas priest, iron maidon, acdc. Marshall is the Boss. I like mesa as well. Metallica went mesa and the sound was.nuts. I'm stuck between a mesa and a Mashall 800
Really well. I’ve used the 60 watt on both Cyhra’s albums along with EVH III and bunch of other amps and I only boosted it with OD 👌. Just crank the mids and it’ll be good 😎.

I’m a Marshall guy first and foremost but sometimes I’ve used other amps too. Mainly if the producer had requested 😎. The best amp is still ’The Bad Boy’ - my Marshall JCM800 2203 from 1984 💪.
Try the Fireball through a 4x12 cab loaded with Marshall G12 Vintage speakers, it sounds like a Marshall that is about to blow up. Through the Marshall G12 Vintage speakers it sounds like a perennially brown Marshall.

Thanks!
I used to have the original Fireball 60 and it was a monster of an amp. Hurting your back moving around that half stack was worth it on stage when you cranked it :)
😎💪
Great review! I actually own this amp, and love it. It's a total monster. The only thing I disagree with is the boost. Of course, it comes down to personal preference, but in my experience the FB100 doesn't need any additional compression or tightening, and has more mojo with the gain opened up a little more. If you like the way your boost pedal EQs your signal, then great. But I've always gotten better results from this amp by feeding it an unboosted signal.
Thanks!
Can’t argue about personal preferences 👌😎.
It's already saturated enough without the boost. This is coming from a guy who dimes every amp.
@@theironsheik6322 Agreed 100%!
This is my favorite Engl...I also have the Victor Smolski at the moment, also killer but less capable of the organic feel of the F100. Also the F100 takes boost pedals better. I have also owned the Engl SE and the Savage, in the end the Fireball stayed and those were sold.
💪👌
What didn't you like about the SE? Was it the EL-34 version?
I hear you on less features and I've had and do have amps with lots of features and those without. I've had amazing results with both. I have a BFG modified 2002 Dual Rec that sounds incredible. I also am in love with the lead to on my Mark V.
You have me wanting a Fireball 100.
👌😎
Wow I need a stack of all the ENGL you have recently reviewed😂✌️🇨🇦
😁👍
Man that ENGL has that grind I see why you like it I would love to see you try a VHT pittbull 100 watt head or the Fryette pittbull 100 I think those amp will be on my wish list. Great Video
Indeed 😎. Would be cool to try those out ’cos it’s been many years since I’ve played with the Pitbull 💪.
Very good sounding amp! The advantages over Marshalls is that you can sound massive without cranking it on full and have a good sounding clean channel, too! Marshalls need to be full volume to sound good, not practical without an attenuator.
Indeed 👌💪.
I like the clean on the Fireball better. More chimey. Almost needs to be dulled down, if you want to.
Great demo.
Thanks!
Great video, did you try the Fireball 25? It's fantastic as well!
Thanks! I think so and if I did it’s on my TUBE AMPS - playlist.
Great demo I have the 25 watt version and can tell it’s a very versatile amp.
Thanks!
Hi, I you still using the fireball 25? I’d be interested to hear how you find it after having for over a year. I’m looking into getting one, it just seems so versatile!
How is it at practice/low volume?
Thank
Dan
Oh I just borrowed it from a local music store to do the video.
My main amps are my old Marshall JCM800 2203s from the 80s I’ve been using since 90s 💪😎.
This really is the best fireball review on the internet’s. You should get your hand on an oldschool 60w and review it, to compare. As you have used it on a record.
Thanks man! Glad to hear! Indeed 👌😎.
My men!!! You have a killer sound with each one this baby's!!! Doesn't matters the brand!!! 🔥
😎💪🔥☺️
Mine arrived a few weeks ago. Got a 'returned item' and paid only $1,675. These things have great value. Sounds like it should be $3,000. I too like them simple. Can't see myself needed any other high-gain amp. I have a 1986 JCM 800 too. Both rawk 😉. True about the gain. Too much on channel two, but the low setting is great. It might be worth modding it to bring more sweep into the dial. You didn't mention it, but there is a noise gate on the back.
What can I say, as always, extremely high quality review. Thanks!!!!!!!
Thanks! 🙏
Now that's an amp!
YES 💪
i didnt expect a plexi sound on the clean channel. They did a good job with this amp. The Powerball might have too many shared components between those 4 channels and compromises were made i guess.
They did indeed 💪.
Yeah the simpler the better usually.
I clicked like without even watching the video. :)
👍🙏😎
the world needs more people like you ❤
Awesome review.. Completely understand what you mean about the openness of the amp. It's also got good punch and harmonic content, I've got the fireball 60 with ehx 6l6 tubes and it sounds warmer and less harsh than the original tubes. The amps indeed have the mojo but so do you bro! 🤟😎👌
Thanks man!
Sounds huge!!
Thanks!
Those of us that shred and sweep through all types of clean and dirty tones imaginable simply have more knowledge and insight on what needs corrected, but there's never been anyone interested in the right way to create a recipe for the how.*
In that, I have always said semiconductors can do exactly what tubes are used for and do it phenomenally better, there's just never been a *financial incentive* for franchised brands to do it, *but in this they have finally just started in digital.* The software solutions bypassed the more complex required architecture from analog, *but I am still saying on record analog semiconductors will still to it much better.*
The Fireball is awesome, I want one! Nice demo, brother
It is! Thanks!
Very good man as i think.I will buy it when i have the money enough.
👌🔥
Fantastic! Sounds reeeeeaaallllyyyyy good.
🔥💪😎
Paras engl mitä oot testannut 👌🏻Ehkä vähän vähemmän gainia riittäisi. Nyt gaini taso hyppää samantien liian ylös. Musix:lla on näköjään hyvä valikoima vahvistimia, cool!
Näin on 👌. Joo siinä ei hirveesti säätövaraa ole 😎.
Absoultly balls to the wall sound great video !
Thanks man!
This amp just sounds so sick 🤘
🤟😎
I think your video's are fantastic. Great reviews and holy fuck dude you've got serious chops.....wow...
Thanks man! Glad to hear!
If you can get your hands on one, try out Laney Ironheart.
Think you might like it. Played one for years and never quite got the same out of other amps.
Sure! 👌
Would something like a 12AU7 or 12AT7 be useful to knock the lead gain down a bit so it breathes a touch more?
Pepita was getting ready to go to bed... but he can't resist the appeal of good music and he wants to dance :)
😁👍
Cheers Euge! I own the fireball 100 but haven't played any other ENGL amps. From all the ENGLS you've played, is the fireball your 3rd favorite? (I've seen your other videos were you say Savage and MFriedman are your top favorites. Best regards!!!
Probably Fireball & Inferno 🤟.
@@EugeValovirta230V Thank you very much!
testing Engl Fireball 25 would be also interesting!
It’s a great amp good bang for your buck
Yeah! Maybe some day in the future 😉.
Your Marshall's and Engl sound great. What speakers you using?
St. Rock or Suhr Reactive Loads and Jens Bogren’s IRs. Mainly my signature one ’Valovirtuous’ 👌😎. It’s based on an oversized Mesa w/ V30s.
I'm keeping eye on the fireball 25, really good price to get if you're in Finland, I mean made in Germany... this chip shortages are making it bit hard to reach nowadays but still. Please reply if there is any store I can order to Helsinki other than thomann.
I haven’t lived in Finland in over 10 years so I have no idea 😎.
@@EugeValovirta230V 2 months update; sir you sold me the 100 watt one, I ordered it today
These videos must be really useful for musicians!
Hopefully 😎.
Sounds like a Marshall boosted with a boss ge7. You should try that for a boost Euge. Great video!
Kinda. Yeah I have one and have used it every now & then live, in the studio and on some of my videos 👌.
Thank you, this is very interesting amp
You’re welcome and it’s also a really good amp 🔥👌😎.
Just got a Silver Jubilee to replace my old JCM 800, not really doing the trick. Is the Fireball a better replacement for the 800 than a silver jubilee? Thanks! and very informative as always Mr. Valovirta!
Nope. Another JCM800 is 💪. I mean it depends what you’re looking for but if it’s 800 crunch you’re looking for just get an 800. Simple as that 😎.
The Marty Friedman since it’s the closest to a good ol’ Marshall JCM800 😎🤟.
I want to watch this video. But my firewall keeps blocking it for some reason. Maybe to much fire in one video🤟🤟
😁
Great video brother. Have you ever got to try the Soldano amps of old? Heard they were good.
Glad to hear than man!
agree with you.i liked the fireball more than any other engl amp you have tested.one question, what cabinet are you using?
Yeah!
None; Suhr Reactive Load & my signature IR ’Valovirtuous’ from Jens Bogren 👌.
@@EugeValovirta230V i am completely noob when it comes to this stuff.i am a bedroom hobby guitarist and i played in a band during my college years.i always used combo amp in my bedroom and amp/head when i was in the band.so i plug and play, sometimes i use(last time was years ago) a cheap multieffect pedalboard(korg ax1500g) that i got almost 20 years ago so my question is...from where do you hear what you play?what about in live shows, you dont use cabinet there?
😎
From my studio monitors 👌.
Here’s a video if you’re interested: th-cam.com/video/_2N-GEjzJVk/w-d-xo.html
I use in-ear monitors live and haven’t used real amps live since 2017 but this:
th-cam.com/video/B0A6s9M-fPQ/w-d-xo.html
They cut better and there’s a reason why I have several Marshalls. My JCM800 2203 from 1984 aka The Bad Boy has been my main amp since 90s 💪😎👌.
You make sound everything good. Like you said: tone is in you fingers. What I want to know is what kind of picks you use, because in my opinion picks are just as important as your hands.
Thanks! Dunlop Tortex 1,14mm. Those purple ones 👌.
I agree 💪. Thanks man!
Most people don't know it, but in German, "fire" means "enormous." German also has no plurals. So the proper name of the amp is the Enormous Balls 100. One-hundred being the balls measurement in metric testaculons.
💪😎👌
That Fireball 100....rips! Have you found the "one"?
Here’s a few videos about it:

i'm curious wich one is better. The black fireball 100 or the silver plated 60. really don't know. I do know i can get those old fireballs for like 500 or somthing, they're dirt cheap these days. Had a silver plated powerball once, killer killer amp.
I’ve used the 60 on both Cyhra’s albums among some other amps and it did the job 😎👌.
@@EugeValovirta230V The 60 is pretty cheap these days. Is there a major difference. if you'd pick one over the other. wich would you choose??.
Probably the 60. I haven’t compared them side to side but if I remember correct the 60 felt a bit more ”organic” in a way. In general I like old / older amps that has more of a vintage feel. I mean my all time favourite amps are JCM800 2203 and Plexis 👌😎.
Awesome amp that ENGL Euge and yes, less is better!
Indeed!
May I ask why you chose the 60w model instead of the 100w model?
I guess you’re referring to the Cyhra recordings? The studio had only 60watt model and it did the job so that’s why 😎.
Have you tried the ENGL Retro 50/100? I"m considering either the Fireball 100 or the Retro for that "vintage" high gain tone.
I haven’t.
😎💪
i use my 60w gain on 9 o'clock and sometime i feel its too distortions sound😅
😁👌
you know there also is a kreator version of this amp engl extreme agression or something, very very sick amp??. very limited. Also with this amp i saw. pressence pretty low, trble up. then this engl sings. Sonic drive studios tested this amp also. straight in without overdrive pedals or something.
again killer playing - the amp sounds good but i like your badboy
Thanks man! Likewise 😎💪.
would you say the fireball opens up more if you dial in more presence or didn't you like it? On my Powerball I run presence usually around 7-8. I am really interested if that would sound more open and even closer to the 800.
Yeah I had it pretty much cranked 😎. Around 8 if I remember correct. It was as close to my 800 as I could get it and spent only a few minutes dialing it 👌.
instreresting that you find it less compressed than the blackmore !
Yeah! 👌
Euge, this or the Artist 50?! I'm looking at one that sounds good at all volumes!
Oh that’s a tough one but I’d probably go with the Artist 50 👌.
@@EugeValovirta230V thanks for your reply !! You are the man !
🙏😎
Great amp. this Fireball .
I’ll do a comparison video 👌😎.
The Blackmore that I got from MusiX (brand new out of the box) has 6L6s 👍.
I only know that this has 6L6s 😎👌.
So In your opinion, is the Fireball closest to a good JCM800 with a boost? Any other amps that have less modern hi gain compression and a more open sound like a JCM800?
I don’t know if it’s the closest but it certainly can get you in that territory. But it’s the closest of the ENGLs I’ve played so far 👌.
Fireball + SD1 = yes please
🤟😎
I can't use a wah like that. The treadle takes control of my mouth and makes it move all by itself not matter how hard I try to stop it.
😁👍
Amazing bro!!!!
Thanks C!
You are wellcome E!!!!
Thanks!
That’s the plan in the future 👌😎.
Privet! Need more high gain video settings :D
😎👍
This is ENGL best amp. Along with the inferno. The inferno is a brighter fireball. Can’t go wrong with either.
Roger 😎🤟.
difference between engl and bad boy is. Bad boy is more darker sounding maybe, the engl cuts like a knife. Both really good, different flavours.
Indeed! 👌
Is this much better than old 60 watter? If only engl made 50 watt version, 100 is an overkill for my needs.
If I remember correct this has a bit more low mids but in general they’re pretty close 👌.
@@EugeValovirta230V and how does it cut through in the mix? I heard fireballs have problem in band situation. Eq pedal in the loop?
Really well. I’ve used the 60 watt on both Cyhra’s albums along with EVH III and bunch of other amps and I only boosted it with OD 👌. Just crank the mids and it’ll be good 😎.
@@EugeValovirta230V thanks for reply! Im still in between fireball 60 and savage 60. Currently own orange dark terror but its just too weak in band situation. I never thought i will want an engl, cause i was always a Marshall guy, but aftet your vid i want one :D
I’m a Marshall guy first and foremost but sometimes I’ve used other amps too. Mainly if the producer had requested 😎.
The best amp is still ’The Bad Boy’ - my Marshall JCM800 2203 from 1984 💪.
Sounds like Engl created their own JCM800.
Try the Fireball through a 4x12 cab loaded with Marshall G12 Vintage speakers, it sounds like a Marshall that is about to blow up. Through the Marshall G12 Vintage speakers it sounds like a perennially brown Marshall.
Awesome 🔥🔥🔥

A little personal non-musical offtopic question to you, if you don't mind :) I've just read that your first name is actually Erno, so why are you dubbed Euge? Emppu from Nightwish is also named Erno, it seems to me from outer perspective, that you guys don't really like this name :)
Erno is a good name, there is nothing wrong with it! ;-)
Euge has been my nickname since Kindergarten or something and my family & some of my closest friends call me by my real name and I like to keep it like that: th-cam.com/video/2az53-uAYQ0/w-d-xo.html
