On my model gdwt160r10ss (2011), there is a grey gasket around the coarse filter that deteriorated and covered dishes in bits of rubber... on this one, there is no gasket... did GE remove that gasket on newer models? Same for gasket around sump basket...

On the metal course filter, the gasket is built in. You have to waste your money buying the whole filter assembly with the attached gasket, instead of just buying the gasket

I had the same symptoms as Critical Reasoning, I scraped off the rubber gasket and put it back in after a heavy scrubbing. I don't think the previous (house) owner cleaned it once since the machine was new.

I have the same issue. Cleaned everything but I’m looking for something to replace the gasket. I could take a marine sealant and essentially squirt my own gasket around the edge then put it in when it all dries. But I don’t know what a chemical like that would leach into the water. Wish I could buy that seal but i can’t find it anywhere.

Used this video to get to the filter basket. Found a few large shards of broken glass that somehow made their way past the plastic grill. Cleared them, but washer still won’t drain, just a crackling noise… maybe smaller bits of glass in the pump or something? How would I go about clearing that?

Isn't there supposed to be a gasket that runs the perimeter of the new SS course filter?

What is the part number for that yellow tube that the fine filter hooks up to? Mine crumbled into pieces.

GE designed that filter poorly compared to other models. The filter shouldn't be that hard to access.
