Really appreciate your reviews! I'm one of the (few?) x-shopping the 500h and 450h+ so it's super helpful to hear thoughtful insights and comparisons like yours.
It's not true that you can have Adaptive Variable Suspension only on the model RX 500h. I bought the RX 450h+ with Adaptive Variable Suspension here in Belgium, on the top configuration: Privilege Line. The car it's very quiet inside and because of the technology: Active Noise Cancelling.
The battery has no impact on comfort; Lexus adjusted the suspension according to the weight of the car. Because it’s a heavy car (2365 kg), Lexus adjusts the suspension in curves as well; you also have the possibility to adjust your suspension: comfort or sport mode. Because it’s a permanent 4x4 car, Lexus also intelligently distributes the power between the engines, resulting in a very smooth acceleration & reduced centrifugal force in curves. There are many other elements that contribute to the comfort of this Lexus model: all the glass has treatment against ultraviolet rays, the windshield and front windows are double laminated with acoustic treatment, the car also has some thermal insulation, air conditioning with Nanoe X technology, automatic detection of passengers inside the car and climate distribution, the front seats are very comfortable with electronic adjustment including for the thighs, etc. Regarding the cobblestones, even if the car does not have air suspension, the small bumps are reduced very well.
I rather have the Lexus RX 500h that’s hybrid or if I don’t want to spend that kind off money I would rather buy the Toyota Venza. The 500h is 15,000 Dollars cheaper than that 450h and lighter with better handling if you get the F Sport 500h that’s still 10,000 dollars cheaper. If you don’t want to spend that type of money get the Toyota Venza it a more luxurious car than the Toyota RAV4 and drives like a Lexus smooth, just don’t like how the RAV4 drive to much like a truck. Don’t listen to people that day the Venza and RAV4 are the same car they’re not the only thing in common is the drive train that’s about it.
I purchased the 450 H + the end of February. Excellent ride and my average MPG is 98 !
Nice!! That is excellent!

Thank you I appreciate that!!
This sums up the car: it’s perfectly fine.

You don’t buy a luxury car for fine. If you want perfectly fine get a versa or something

Interesting, that's good to know! Thanks for the info!
Hallo,
Ben aan het denken om de 450h+ privilege line te bestellen. Is deze super comfortabel ondanks de batterijen? Zelfs op kasseien?

Hi , I’m hearing the soft touch dash scratches easily- what is your experience?
Interesting! I didn't notice any scratches in the RX's I've been in!
