Sorry for the monroney sticker being all wonky in the first 10s. The file rotated in my file folder which affected its position in the render 😢. Sorry!
I own one and LOVE it!!! In the summer it says that it gets ~72KM=45 MI of electric Range, which in reality is likely 40-42MI. In the Canadian winter it is roughly 45KM=28MI... but that is with the heater running on full constantly. It is exceptionally quiet and smooth. The only thing I wish it had was the GH display behind the steering wheel. The 9" display isn't very customizable and could be improved. The passenger seat has memory for 3 settings also, but oddly, you can't use them while driving... on the driver side, that makes sense, but not on the passenger. If you get the high end Executive Package, it is only a couple grand more than RX350H, atleast that is what it is in Canada with our packaging. After 6 months of ownership, the only time we use Gas is on our 1100 Mile trips. Great Review Kirk!!
Peace of Mind is now the premium you're paying for. The powertrain is bulletproof, and the RX is such a quiet and comfortable car. I just drove an RX350 home last night from a birthday dinner.
In the Netherlands tested against Cayenne and LR Sport. The RX was considered the far best build, materials and fit and finish, most economical to, as will as quietest car around. I drove them all and took a couple of months to make my decision. In the end I bought the 450h+. The 450h+ was the last one I drove and immediately I knew it was the one I was going to buy (I also tested the German competators). Efficiency and plug in is one thing, but the additional power over the 350h and the refinement of the 450h+ over the 500h was worth the money to me. I absolutely agree it is the best RX and I absolutely loved the refined, smooth, quiet drive. I was planning to get the RX fully loaded regardless of the power train so the price difference wasn’t a big deal to me.
Very insightful report. I agree that hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or EV should be the only choices for Lexus...and for everyone else, down the road. Lexus is a leader, after all.
I've had my 2023 luxury RX 350h AWD with pretty much every option with the same interior you have here for a little over a year. I love the light interior and the bamboo inlay. It does give good vibes, just very soothing. I laughed when you said that because that interior was a must have for me once I had seen it. I'm always pondering what changes I'd make to the car, I can't really think of anything. Like would I rather have a bigger engine? No, I mean it's not super powerful but it gets the job done, it's not supposed to be a sports car and living with California gas prices I'd rather just save the money. With the hybrid motor assist it feels as fast as my Kia Optima turbo and gets much better gas mileage and much more space and better in basically every way. I also like that is basically has a Camry engine so parts are easily available and inexpensive. Firmer or softer suspension? No. More expensive interior materials? Not really if it means the car would have to be more expensive. Larger or smaller? Not really, we're easily able to fit all of our Costco runs. It's pretty hard for me to think of ways to improve on it. Maybe a little better visibility out the back. I think the fact that you eventually have to pay a subscription fee for the traffic assist is BS. The question is if you're getting the fully maxed luxury 350h if it's worth just going to the 450h+ because at that point its only like a $8k difference and you could save a lot of fuel.
The Lexus EV direction (all EV by 2030-35) has got to change consistent with consumer demand. Not sure why they made such a decree. Currently drive RX450hL….love the 6 cylinder hybrid. Great review of the 450h+. Thanks Kirk
I own a 2021 450h and like it a lot; and agree, I don't want an EV of any sort for numerous reasons (I live in the US). But I was in London this summer and they are being forced to go full EV by 2030 (pulled it forward from 2035). There's no coincidence that Lexus and other manufacturers are aligned to that date. It's because of mandates from UK and European bureaucrats. And every time we hear of some drastic change by automakers, it's likely due to mostly politics.
Great review, and I did look hard at this, but went with the NX450h+ instead, as I just could not get my head around the styling at the front. I also didn’t need the extra space, the NX is plenty roomy for me. And as a bonus mine doesn’t have Mrs. Naggypants moaning at me every 10 seconds to pay attention and keep my eyes on the road😂

Own a 2024 RX 450h+. Under 1500 miles and it is currently in the shop for the 3rd time due to an unidentified parasitic power draw that keeps draining the 12v battery and totally bricking my car. This is a known problem with not just the RX 450h+ but also the NX 450h+, RAV4 Prime, and now also looks like it might be impacting the Prius Prime (start googling the various forums). Appears that many owners have been installing trickle chargers as a work around. Lexus needs to get their act together and fix this issue ASAP because it has been going on since the introduction of the NX/RAV plug-in. Besides this, however, I really like the vehicle especially compared to the gas RX loaners I have been driving.

The new Toyota have greatly improved in design, tech and features. But on the Lexus side they really didn't do much to distinguish them selves as the superior product.
OMG Volvo are dogs do your research!
If they build in the Us the quality is poor and all of the gaps would be off of the panels
Miss 450h. Rx = V6 for me
Weak af title
4 banger with a CVT for 76k how special
........Hey DUMMY...NOT a CVT!!!!.... …......... NOTE: This is a “NOT” repeat, not a CVT gearbox on the NX, ( many that can not afford this vehicle “try” to put it down by trying to spread this FALSE propaganda (do your research) ...this is not a CVT vehicle!)......it is an “ e-CVT “which is an epicycloidal transmission and no belt of any kind. eCVT is completely different from a cvt. eCVT doesn't use belt/band. Nothing are the same.
It's a transmission that contentiously varies, the mechanics are different but the outcome is the same !
not a fan of the CVT... regardless if it's a LEXUS CVT... still not a FAN OF CVT transmissions and how they feel a proper 6, 8, and 10 speed will ALWAYS FEEL Superior to ANY CVT... regardless of MAKE! I just hate the FEEL OF CVT transmissions.... Happy with my RX500h F sport Level 3 performance (Fully loaded all options)
................. Such DUMB people her keep saying..CVT.....…......... I feel like the last gen is better this new one is so generic looking
Luxury cars are dead. Nothing more than scams imo, with very few exceptions.
That grill is ugly
HEY

NOTE additionally this is: ***NATURALLY ASPIRATED *** ICE / motor and uses ***REGULAR GAS no other luxurary SUV uses ***REGULAR GAS and gets 89 empg!...

Too much for a plug-in toyota i mean lexus without the luxuries. These touchpads are questionable choice. Im skipping this generation and i went bmw x5 instead
You went with the right choice
@@Wileytiger-el6pu thx
How do you like the BMW touchpad?
@ i have a 2022 X5 with idrive7, buttons and touch screen, no touch pad
Need 100 miles of electric range to justify.🫤🧑🏽🎓
The top PHEVs right now have less than 50 miles of ev range. This is completely normal.
Maybe wait for solid state batteries to come out?
Dumb comment 90% of people drive less than 15 miles one way to work X2 is clearly within ramge...NOTE additionally this is: ***NATURALLY ASPIRATED *** ICE / motor and uses ***REGULAR GAS no other luxurary SUV uses ***REGULAR GAS and gets 89 empg!
