    I am so happy to see this! I also joined but soon realised that it's just a keto based programme which can't be done forever. I guess i expected some magic... It sadly was not.
    I crashed after 4 weeks and crashed badly...
    I thought I was alone. So very happy to see this!

      You are certainly not alone. I think this diet is unsustainable for most people.

    You are amazing!! I am SOOOOOO thankful you did this review, because I saw her ad on facebook and clicked it and was drawn into her video. I was soooo close to purchasing, but I decided to do some more research and just happened upon your youtube review, and boy am I so glad that I did! You are amazing and I thank you for sharing your honesty and vulnerability with us so that we might stop the neverending cycle of crash yo yo dieting! 💜 You are a rock star XO

      Ah thank you for such a lovely comment, and I am so happy this review was helpful for you. I'm sure her plan has helped people, but I just felt it wasnt sustainable for most. Slow and steady is the way to go, ground yourself in the basics and be consistent. Wishing you all the best for 2025.

      I love it too. Even though I know clean eating is the best to do, I need a meal plan for me commit. Really, it is hard to get started with all the grocery shopping and fitting everything into the fridge, and doing separate meals, but losing all the weight would be hard so if this plan helps, say do it. I'm down 25 lbs and will keep her clean eating tips with me foreve.

      I am starting to listen to you. I believe a bit of what you are saying. However, I did the original $29. And have been loosing. The diet is pretty much raw, and I feel amazing. I agree that if I go back to the way I used to eat, I will gain back weight. But it sure is a good way to hold yourself accountable. We have to plan what we eat or we plan to fail. I do the morning drink and lunch is a salad for me. Dinner is the smoothie unless I am fixing for hubby, then I do what I fix for him. She has a ton of exercises on you-tube and I am doing those. I just choose one and do it. Plus I walk. So we shall see, I am down 10 lbs.

    Thank you, Emma. I was almost sucked in. I'm 46 and pre menopausal. I was on her checkout page for the $29 and felt that inner nudge to check out reviews. I read some and then came to your review. You just saved me $29. Thank you!!!! ❤

      I'm glad it was helpful for you. Truth is we often all want a little kickstart in the New Year and it will work as it's so low calorie. But it's just not sustainable for most people. Start with the basics of just eating better, moving your body and prioritising sleep. Prioritise protein in your diet and introduce strength training if you aren't already. Do what you know already and choose to stick with it. Wishing you all the best.

      I think people often feel that if they look and train just like the person selling a product that they too could look like them. We need to appreciate we all have different challenges, different relationships with food and also different sizes and shapes of bodies. Improved health and fitness will come from sticking with the basics consistently, building good food lifestyle habits that will last for life.
      I'm glad the review was helpful for you, I appreciate your comment.

    I respect all opinions and some things may not be for everyone. I have enjoyed this program so much. I was excited to join and im glad that I did with much success. I was 150 and wanted to hit my target weight of 130. I’m almost there. Most of all i have enjoyed the smoothies because i had no clue as to how a green smoothie could ever taste good and just love the ginger intake as well.

      @emmacolseynicholls1  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Oh lovely, I know it can feel desperate at times, but I hope you can start to approach it from a space of self care. Know it can take a little time. But the slow and steady approach is by far the best in my opinion. Get grounded in the basics. Work on improving your daily walking, reduce processed foods and prioritise protein in your diet and if you are not already then incorporate some strength training.
      I'm wishing you all the best for 2025 and hope that you can find something that not only works but feels sustainable for you.

    Thank you so much for this really honest review! Just as V Shred, the video is SO long and doesn´t say anything until you click at the end, to which I skipped, as it was obvious... $29 seemed to good, so when you mentioned the upselling, I´m really glad I didn´t sign up. I´m sure it may work for people, but I´m glad I didn´t sign up. Thank you! I´ve just been watching some of your other videos and I´m really enjoying them. 😊

      So glad it was helpful for you. After being in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years I have come to realise that mindset and how you approach your health and fitness really is part of the battle. Thank you so much for your honesty and candor about this program and other such easy fix weight loss programs. It is refreshing to hear someone talking about the truth of these marketing ploys on vulnerable people who simply want to feel better about themselves.

    • @emmacolseynicholls1
      @emmacolseynicholls1  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Glad it was helpful! Truthfully I think a lot of the feeling better about yourself is about the mindset around health and fitness too. Restriction and banning foods is rarely the way to go. Start with the basics, take your time and approach your fitness and nutrition from a place of self care.
      I hope you make some huge leaps forward with it this year. Wishing you all the best.

    I too was about to order her program. Instinct and knowledge told me it wasnt going to produce the uktimate results but for 29$ i was interested to see if i could lose 5 or 10 lbs. So i decided to search before i clicked purchase and ran across your video. Thanks for being the guinea pig and giving us the real 411. I'll stick to your suggestions and save myself the migraines (i suffer without food terribly) and the low energy and just focus on changing my habits. Thanks so much!!!🎉

      I feel that having a phase of cutting out certain foods can be beneficial. But it's rarely sustainable and there lies the problem. You already know the things you need to cut back or be more consistent with. Do those things and keep going with it. Wishing you all the best on your health journey.

      @emmacolseynicholls1  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Glad you found it helpful. And yes it's the emotional energy that can be the biggest waste when it comes to programs like this. Truth is you probably know a lot of what you should be doing. So when you get started in the new year start with the basics. Eat less processed foods, prioritise protein in your diet, walk more, add in some strength training. Better sleep will help you achieve all of the above. And be consistent with it for at least 12 weeks before you think about switching gears. Wishing you all the best and hope you make the best start to your health and fitness in 2025!

    Thank you so much for doing this and putting it out there on TH-cam! I'm glad I didn't sign up to it as I hate smoothy detox days. Ive tried it before on another diet and it tasted disgusting and I was absolutely starving. I'm mainly struggling to find easy recipes that are healthy.

    • @emmacolseynicholls1

      I'm glad it was helpful for you. I actually love smoothies and do think if you get the balance right then they can really work well because they are quick and easy. Check out this blog post I did on creating the perfect smoothie emmacolseynicholls.co.uk/nutrition/breakfast/best-smoothie-ingredients-for-weight-loss/
      And I do think that finding healthy recipes that you love is a big part of the battle. Once you can do that, you can find that you actually start to enjoy healthy foods and how they make you feel.
      I did really enjoy some of the recipes in the Metaboost plan, but there are lots of places you can find healthy recipes. Pinterest is a great place for that.

    I almost signed up, I changed my mind when there was no PayPal. I then came across your video 5 minutes later, sadly many women like me post menopausal who are struggling with not only weight gain but also inflammation are desperate to lose weight, I am a young fit 64 year old and no matter what i do the weight won’t budge. For four years I did keto, lost 10kg but have gained 5 kg back, I need to lose a min of 10kg. Imagine the money one is making by charging a small amount of $29 for possibly thousands of desperate people.

    • @emmacolseynicholls1
      @emmacolseynicholls1  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Menopause certainly has a lot to answer for and it can be incredibly challenging especially when you feel as though you are doing all of the right things.
      I think diets such as this can possibly get things moving again however I find that most people will find this diet unsustainable.
      Whilst it's hard to give a blanket recommendation as I don't know your diet, exercise or lifestyle habits but it's possible there may be small changes you can make to see results.

      @emmacolseynicholls1  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Glad it was helpful for you. As for ginger shots the best would be to just make them yourself. They are fairly cheap and easy to make and you can get recipes with a quick google or pintrest search. But if you do buy then the main thing you want to look for is the sugar content. The lower sugar the better.

    Hi Emma. Thank you for your honesty. I viewed other individuals who attempted this diet and some where successful and some so so? In the end, I too did those crash diets and gained with weight back, if not more. I was almost convinced to purchased the program, until you mentioned the up-sale, up-sale; as on another review, the individual spoke about purchasing this and that, etc $$. I to lose and if not careful , gain it back quickly. I am a big bone girl, but have learned to embrace it , because you are also right about having family genes that do make a difference on what may or not work for you. I have lost weight and recently gained some back and trying to look for some quick fix, but after seeing your video and seeing how you keep it 100% real with legit facts, I became a follower to your site. and know I just have to eat what works with my body and continue to exercise. I have bought his one and done program but I'm not doing her diet atm. I have been on keto since May this year and lost almost 9 kg. I have had a cheating day every month and two whole cheating weeks that we went on holiday. It has worked for me so far🤞I don't count carbs or macros or anything, but I cannot have seeds or nuts more than once a week, there is something in them that stall me. I plan on carrying on with keto as I haven't achieved my goal weight yet and my BMI is a bit over the healthy limit. I do love walking and go to a 45 to 60 min when I can. I have also used IF in the past and it has allowed me to maintain.

    I am on my day 9 on the Metabots connection challenge. I have seen an increased amount of energy, but to be honest, I haven't lost any weight at all. I have spent in 10 days my whole family food budget because every recipe requires different ingredients, which it makes it make it really hard since everything is portioned. I bought ingredients that were only used once at the beginning of my challenge, and they are sitting in my fridge because I am trying to stick as a T to the program, but mentally it is very exhausting. I even had a road trip this past weekend and cooked all my 2 days' recipes to stick on them, but it is hard because it takes you for the joy of enjoying with your family because this plan is also base on a schedule, so you should eat your meals and snack as required in the program. Tomorrow is my last day, which I am excited to complete for the first time this kind of diet is, but my bank is broke with all honesty, and the weight is still with me.

    • @emmacolseynicholls1

      Well done for sticking to it. Having more energy is a really great win eve if it's been hard. I hope you will use up the ingredients and maybe try remaking some of the recipes. Thanks for sharing your experience as it's valuble feedback. I think we also always need to remember that lasting results will often take time. So try and continue to eat well going out of the challenge and the results can still come.

    The only way to lose belly fat is calorie deficit and increase in protein, no sugar, no grains. That is the only way over 50 I’ve had success. It’s not a lifestyle that can be sustained long term. I did a CrossFit challenge , had to count macros and were in a calorie deficit, lost some wait, gained it back when I went off the strict diet and I generally eat very clean.

    The ad makes it seem like you can eat whatever and you’re adding to not taking away. I’m so glad I didn’t purchase. There were no sample menus and I’m very upset I sat through her long stinking video. I feel like her video was false advertising. I lost all my weight originally with keto. The only problem I see with this kind of diet is that it really minimizes protein. Our bodies are not made with veggies. Our muscles and bones need animal proteins (because they are bioidentical) and cholesterol. I don't think we need all the fats that the carnivores tend to push. So Lean meats, at least for me at my age, work best. But these mostly veggie/fruit diets and fasting tend to mean you lose muscle. Maybe try a PSMF, Protein sparing modified fast, a couple times a week. That is, high protein (to preserve muscle), low fat, low carb.

    • @emmacolseynicholls1

    In one of the videos it said something about eating pizza. It was all in the combination of foods you eat. The video I watched tonight said that you actually eat more food, because your metabolism is higher. From what I saw on your video, it’s seems the diet basically starves you, like any other fad diet! Thank you for trying the diet and giving an honest review.

    I had to try 3 different stores to find all of the ingredients for the metabolic flush and the metaboost, meal prep can take very long because the recipes have a lot of different ingredients (many but little quantity, 1/2 a cup, 1/4 of a cup etc.). And it's expensive, spirulina alone cost me 10 euros, apple cider vinegar, garlic salt, lots of different nuts and berries etc. Shopping, costs and preparation: tough

    You know what DOES work??? Love Sweat fitness…. Katie Dunlop. She lost 45 lbs & kept it off for over 10 years. She also had a baby & stayed healthy & fit. She has an app that’s free. It’s $100 for the year if you want the videos & daily workouts. She uploads to TH-cam & gives meal prep ideas so you can buy the meal plans but I don’t I just watch her TH-cam videos & there’s more than enough meal ideas! So the BEST part of it is the commitment to her community. You do challenges several times a year & everyone keeps each other going so if you don’t feel motivated you do it for the other girls. It’s really awesome. I did it and lost 30 lbs after my son was born. Got back to pre baby weight and I’m 44 years old. Had my son at 40. So I really do recommend it & she has a few nutrition products. I love the collagen but I’ve tried most & they’re all good!!!

    Thank you for this review.
    As many others in the comments said, I was thinking of purchasing. But I wanted to see some samples of what it is that I would be eating more of if I tried it. From what I saw here she doesn't really keep her "promises". There are two, for me, huge reasons why this is unsustainable for me.
    My job is very physically and mentally demanding. I can't afford to be cranky and low on energy. This is, despite what she says, a very restrictive diet.
    The other reason is financial. I understand that salmon and avocado are healthy, but where I live, in a single person household, I can't afford to buy them constantly. Not to mention a weird reaction my body has to avocados.
    I find that lots of soups and stews with tons of different vegetables work best for me. Oat porridge with in season fruit is the best breakfast if I want to survive the shift at work. I do go up and down a few kg depending on the season, but at 47 I don't want to starve myself anymore.
    Again, thank you so much for saving me money and energy 💜

    • @emmacolseynicholls1
      @emmacolseynicholls1  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I am so glad this was helpful for you. I do think this diet is unsustainable for many people. With the amount of activity I do, it certainly was for me. And from what you say in your post it sounds like you already know what you need to do for you.
      If you have a very active job I would focus more on the nutrition side. Making sure you are getting enough protein in your diet to sustain your hunger and energy levels. Aim for targeting 30g of protein per meal to start with (obviously that a ver general guide without knowing your specific requirements) Batch cook meals so it's more affordable and time efficient. Focus on nourishment rather than restriction and also stress management and making sure you are getting enough good quality sleep as that will be key for a busy person such as yourself
      So make that plan for yourself, maybe you could enrol some friends or family to do it together to work on the level of accountability as that is often a key area for a lot of people when they are getting started in the new year.
      Wishing you all the best for you new year health and fitness goals.

    I understand why you posted your review. As a health coach myself, I see her endlessly talking and mentioning a plethora of herbs, spices, plants and superfoods that we all know about as though she discovered "gold". In essence, the over upsell was a complete turn off. She struck Hollywood gold by having a celebrity endorse her. Spiralina isn't as great as other algaes. My background is Ayurveda and she just mentions some of the Ayurvedic herbs and a melange of the kitchen sink. Maybe this is designed to get picked up in a keyword search for search engine optimization.

      It is not my intention to target anyones business, I try to give a balanced review as there were certainly some things in this plan (such as the recipes) that I really did enjoy. I truly believe that most fitness professionals do actually want to help people. But in my honest opinion there are better was to do it, and I don't think that crash diets are the answer. And it's just that....my opinion as someone who has been in the health and fitness industry for 20+ years. I have done lots of reviews on my channel and some really positive ones that I would highly recomend to people such as MindPump. They deliver solid and evidence based work, they are doing it the right way and I would reccomend people check them out above all others I have reviews so far. There are good and bad programmes out there, the purpose of my channel is to help people make more informed buying decisions on health and fitness products, not just to trash people for the sake of it.
