I agree, Europe has a lot of opportunities to live and work, not to mention that it is so easy to travel from one country to the other. Portugal is great, having a great climate, cheaper prices and beautiful scenery. Also, not mentioned here, Romania is a beautiful country waiting to be discovered.

I live in Ireland. And yeah even though here we speak English, the people are really nice, it's very rich, good education, good air quality everywhere and it's not even that dangerous. It's still tough to move here. And this isn't because of immigration requirements but because of how hard it is to find residence here. Firstly it is hard to find a residence because there has been high demand for that all the time in the last 20 years and the cost of living is unsurprisingly high here but it has increased by 82% since 2010! So if you plan on moving here then make sure you have a well-paid salary and that you know what you're paying for because it could get complicated here for residency.

I am surprised The Netherlands is even mentioned. There's literally not a single policy area in which there hasn't occurred a crisis situation by now. In other words, the country is very poorly governed. Next to that is it overly crowded, cities and sites are mediocre, people are rude, the language sounds ghastly and the landscape, well, is unique at best. Its affluence was mainly caused by a massive natural resource they found decades ago in the North of the country, next to their previous 'endeavours' during their colonial and slave trade episodes. However, next to many other policy areas in which they failed causing issues in recent decades, they can't pump up that gas anymore, so you see the country dwindling.
