It's a simple fix. Look under the dash, where the steering column/shaft enters a rubber boot. Hit with a few blasts of silicone spray and voila!..no more noise when you turn the wheel.

No way 03 v6 xle 330k miled uses no oil get 20 in town 30 highway at 75mph. Best car i ever owned and has plenty of power without straining motor. Had 4cyl, now 6, never go back. Mileage is not much different at v6 does not have to rev to get going.
Compared to my country (The Netherlands in Europe) gas in the US is cheap. I converted the liters to gallons and euro to dollars which makes our price $ 8,75 a gallon!!
I payed 80-100$ I don’t remember exactly. I got it done at Martinez Upholstery in Turlock. I removed it myself and dropped it off he had it ready next day.
When this car was brand new in 2003. In China the price was 70,000 USD. Which was 19 years ago. 19 years ago in China the average salary was about 250 USD per month. So this was a luxury car back in the days in China.
I forget what that squeaking sound is. I know car care nut did a video about it. I personally like the 2012-2015 model year is my favorite. This economy is terrible unfortunately. Hoping you are still doing good with your dad
Super easy fix. There’s a rubber boot on the steering shaft that needs some lubricant. Silicone spray works best. Spray, turn the wheel left. Spray, turn the wheel right. Do this and the noise will be gone.

@@povnelson2019 it’s a owner of the car who lives about 20 minutes away. That’s not a good deal?
Yes check it out but if in good shape great deal
I would consider it a "throw away car" and you will be surprised - it will run for years. 07 SE 138k
270K on mine and am about to the suspension and recently changed brakes but everything is easy to replace on it. Didn't realize how reliable these cars are.
I like the front visibility. The new Camrys or even the new cars have a very small windshield, tall dashboard. 2014 and up cars have that issue, but I guess no one sees it but me I guess.
I know exactly what you mean lol I wash all the cars you see in my videos lol I do all the windshields and I know what you’re saying. 🤗
The earlier cars, '02, had a narrower A pillar and better visibility.
Bestest car ever made
I Got a 2003 se with 115000.....love me my cammy😁
Those are great miles congratulations 🎊🎉🎈. Thanks for watching 🙏
Toyota's are the absolute best! Camry is #1
07 camry 138k miles. had some repairs but it is pretty good. I like the 00 and 01's. perhaps someday I will get one of those.
Although these cars are older than me, they're still better than new ones.
2003 v6 xle about to roll 350k miles still purrs like a kitten.
I'm about to go Get My 3 rd Car and it's going to be A Trusted 2003 Toyota Camry Thanks For the Video.
You should do oil changes every 5K miles!
i run mobil 1 full syn. Check it once a week. And I've been doing this for years lol it just works for me. And yes i could do it earlier, sooner but who has the time for that lol
Modern oils last a lot longer than that...
@@motleydude73 you change your oil when you want to. I’m gonna do mine every 5K miles or every 6 months whichever comes first. Synthetic oil generally starts loosing its viscosity after 6 months
@@thomasgriffin3474 I do mine as per Toyota recommendations, 15000kms (9320 miles) or 12 months whichever comes first. Just use a thicker grade if yours has done higher miles, at 5000 you are just wasting good oil and money.
@@motleydude73 oil is cheap. I only have 17K total miles on my 2020 tundra and it’s about to get its 3rd oil change and tire rotation. A oil change and tire rotation is the same price as filling the truck up with gas
Have 03 v6 336k miles still make 600 mile round trips monthly. Original engine trans and 99% of entire car us factory original. 3 parts replaced radiator knock sensor and alternator all after 250k miles. Other than wear items belts tore brakes struts still original
This video and the conversation
is wholesome, thanks ❤
Wow definitely a reliable car:
An odd thought, there’s no way to know if the airbags still work. They’re supposed to last like 10-15 years and I don’t know if I’d feel comfortable in a 2003 for that reason alone haha
Yes definitely something to think about when car shopping. lol
they work in toyotas, 99' lexus gs totaled and all airbags were deployed
Look into the crash test ratings on the vehicle you’re interested in purchasing. For example I was very surprised that the test rating were better on the Toyota Tacoma than on the same year Toyota Tundra. You would think the Tundra being bigger would be safer
@@povnelson2019 though i think a tundra would be solid on the freeway too
Yeah but the Crash test also are not perfect and anything can happen on the road lol we just gotta be prepared the best we can. Lol Thanks for the comment & for Watching 🙏🙏
I got a 05 Camry XLE 202K miles strong 💪
Just bought 02 Camry, u made me like it more
Where did you buy it from?
My 2003 Camry has 286,000 miles. Has that same rubbing noise on the steering wheel.
Nice man!!👍👍 yeah they all do it lol but at least I don’t have any motor or serious problems 🤣🤣. I can live with some steering wheel noise
It's a simple fix. Look under the dash, where the steering column/shaft enters a rubber boot. Hit with a few blasts of silicone spray and voila!..no more noise when you turn the wheel.
Thanks man I’ll try it. I’ll put it in my next video 👍🤗
Have 03 never heard a peep?
Nice review Nelson 👌
Good video !!but it is advice to put the car seat behind the right side passengers
Positivity is #1. Lol I always thought the car seat in the middle was safest?
I currently have a Toyota Corolla 04 but it needed a converter right after purchased giving it back and I found a Toyota Camry 03 too! With 138K miles I wanna get it so bad it’s only $4,700 obo should I do it 😭😭
Yes, you should!
I have a 02 toyota camry xle definitely a good car I take one day out of the week to make sure my car is good and I do that just cause I love taking care of my camry
I enjoy watching this.... great video 👍
All you need is a fresh code of paint and a factory built spoiler. Maybe black out the lights?
Ooooh that sound dope 👍. It’s my mom’s car I’ll talk to her about it lol
Am about to buy a camry 03 v6. 130,000 milage. Still in mint condition. But am scared of this the right choice. I was told it take up more gas and are more problematic when compared to 4cylinder
Toyota makes the best v6 in the world specially these years. The 4 cylinder will save you a lot more gas. But they do smoke/ burn oil. So be careful
That’s awesome. Do you still have this car?. Does it still run good. I see this video was posted two years ago.
You could shoot the engine of the Camry many times and it would still run without issue
Hey bro I’m from California also. Where you got your headliner done and how much did they charge?
I payed 80-100$ I don’t remember exactly. I got it done at Martinez Upholstery in Turlock. I removed it myself and dropped it off he had it ready next day.
just got a 03 xle with 24k miles, talk about a steal. Gonna last me about a decade+ with good care
Decade if you average 30k a yr, 330k on my 03 and drives greay
Got a 04 Le with 26k miles a month ago both lucky-
When this car was brand new in 2003. In China the price was 70,000 USD. Which was 19 years ago. 19 years ago in China the average salary was about 250 USD per month. So this was a luxury car back in the days in China.
03 camry v6 xle, same drivetrain and motor as es300. Motors maintained last 500k easy
I am getting my 05 today with 140k
Nice that’s really good miles. Treat it right and I’ll last forever
05 06 are better than earlier models.
I forget what that squeaking sound is. I know car care nut did a video about it. I personally like the 2012-2015 model year is my favorite. This economy is terrible unfortunately. Hoping you are still doing good with your dad
Just noticed a First Generation Lexus RX in this vid.
At what time?
*... and in the seventh day, before going to rest, GOD CREATED TOYOTA*
PERIOD. LOL
#everLASTINGcars
its been two years since you reviewed this car... do you still have it..?
Like the tint and rims like mine has gold letter leather same otherwise base and luxury don't understand
I heard these cars a re bullet proof reason why I bought a 2016
The steering wheel squeak!! Mine sounds like it's talking! 🤣
Super easy fix. There’s a rubber boot on the steering shaft that needs some lubricant. Silicone spray works best. Spray, turn the wheel left. Spray, turn the wheel right. Do this and the noise will be gone.
Just got a 04 Corolla with 110k miles
My favorite seats ❤❤
Does it have the port where you can plug in the Bluetooth thing to listen to music with??
Alright!! Great Car , We Have A 20003 Me And My Wife!! Fantastic 😊
Just bought an 03 Le with 179k. Hoping I can get 300k
Change fluids 400k is doable easy just do maintenace
Cool video.
Mine squeaks too you can spray wd40 under by wear the pedal is there’s videos on that it needs some lube
Are these the toyota 4 cylinders that are known foe burning oil?
I'm really thinking of making my 03 Camry Le a sleeper. It's got 227,000 miles. I'm no car expert but I would think that if I rebuild the engine and transmission then it will be good to go, right? 😐 Idk
I'm looking at one near me. 2003 Camry LE 4 cylinder. It only has 81,000 miles on it. Guy wants 3800. Should I jump on it???
I have a low mileage 2002 LE V6 with only 80k. When I first bought it from the first owner which had a strong attachment to the car it only had 61k. I recently tried to sell it because I have a 19 Camry and I didn’t really need a second car, but I just couldn’t the car has grown on me too much haha. I was curious to see if any of you knew where I can find a manual transmission for the v6? The car mostly sits so I would like to have some fun with it.
I owned a 2003 Camry LE V6 with a sunroof and alloy wheeler. Purchased brand new in 03 from a Toyota dealership. Mine was a great car too BUT I was never thrilled with its styling. Traded it in 2007 for a new Camry XLE V6. Now I own a 2019 Camry XLE V6; best Camry yet!
07 ugly compared to 02 to 06 body style.
19 looks good but will it be as reliable 200 300 thousand miles in.
@@rt2255 07 SE 138k hey watch it.
I am always afraid that toyota will skimp on quality with new cars. your thoughts?
How much was to redo headliner ?
I removed it my self and took it to my local upholstery he charged me 80$. its been over 2years now and held up pretty good.
I just got a 2003 Toyota Camry that has only 35k miles on it.
Wow very nice!
Barn find
@@luckyme5122 pretty much. it was a vacationers summer car and only used part of the year at his second home.
@@nightmoose hey, I have a chance to buy one with 39000 miles on it. how much did you pay for yours. mine is going to be a 2005 with the 2.4 4 cyl engine
Man this beater is somethin'
I’m getting a 2012 at 203k miles I’m scared it won’t last .because the miles . Advice for this as my first car ?
Sounds like a good car lol it’s a survivor lol just keep up with the maintenance. Specially since it’s high miles
Stop acting stupid bro, these cars last over 400,000 miles
Can you say....new headlight lenses
Thinking of buying this for my daughter as her first car???
do it u wont be sorry.
do it u wont be sorry.
Full synthetic oil or just blended oil.
NVM I got the answer from video cheers man
I run full syn. But hey thanks for watching 🙏
@@povnelson2019 I have the same car. Doing oil changes every six months as well. I just need to change the ATF pretty soon
synthetic
Just got a 04 Camry with less than 40k miles
money, that is brand new
I just bought a used camry with 250 on it wish me luck
You got this Tyler V🤗
good luck change the oil every 5k with synthetic.
*Amazing!*
Thank you! Cheers!
I have an 03 LE that has lights that flicker inside and outside and the radio cuts off when I turn on the turn signal I changed the alternator and the battery and I still have the problem and idk if it’s messing with staring the car either cause sometimes I have to crank it twice or three times to turn on can someone please help
Is radio factory? Anytime people upgrade stereos you run risk of crappy install. I suggest removing radio and checking connections even if stock if anyone went into dash they may have pulled something lose, also check battery terminals clean and tight and check battery ground cable is secure and clean where it attaches to frame or ground point
I have a 03 with 280,000+ on the clock they last a lifetime
07 SE 138k. how does it run?
@@subaruamazon shoot runs like a charm only thing wrong is a bad 02 sensor and exhaust leak but other than that I’d drive it across the country
