That scene were George VI look at Elizabeth and she smiles, you can see the smile just drain from his face when he comes to the realization that the weight (both actual and symbolic) of that crown is someday going to be on her head.
And how in both cases it was ill-fitting, wobbly and in danger of falling. Symbolising the uncertainty and the danger of failing that they both feel at their time of inexperience.

It's not a very flattering piece of headwear. It's so tall and top-heavy as to look honestly kind of ridiculous, plus it wobbles from not fitting very well.
It is. The monarch always has the crown at the Palace to get used to wearing it. The conversation was made up. Although The Queen no longer wears the Imperial State Crown at the State Opening of Parliament, it was always taken to the palace billiard room, along with the other regalia used at the ceremony. Two reasons. One to allow the staff to see it. The other so that The Queen could reaccustom herself to wearing it. St. Edward's Crown is so big and heavy that practice is vital to avoid letting it fall off during the coronation. Fortunately it's the only time that the Sovereign wears it. Actually between William III in 1689 and George V in 1911 no monarch was crowned with it. Too heavy for Queen Anne, Queen Victoria and Edward VII, and the others already had crowns that they preferred.
Have you seen The King's Speech? Colin Firth doesn't resemble George VI either, but you can forgive that fact after watching how they perform the role.
As if it ever mattered what the actor looks like. You could have the entire royal family played by people of color for all I care, it wouldn't make a difference as long as their character, manners, personality and decisions made sense. Granted the immersion would be somewhat ruined because, well, we know they're pale and pasty as all hell - but still, it's a work of fiction, i didn't even know about most of these people before I watched the Crown anyway.
Well, ideally, it should have been Ben Mendelsohn, who played him in Darkest Hour. Good actor *and* has an uncanny likeness. But you can rarely have both, and it's much more important to have a talented actor who gets someone's personality right.

Oh God the crown wearing scene transition from George to Elizabeth was heartbreaking for me... I dont know why
Because they both didn’t want it. But had a duty.
Neither wanted or expected it. But duty demanded it. And both have, in their turn, demonstrated beyond any and all doubts they were meant to wear it.
