I work at an Amazon warehouse. That red sticker isn't a return, its a transship sticker, meaning lets say a warehouse in Cali has an overflow of kuerigs but they are selling a lot in Illinois but before it gets there it make a stop in Montana to drop some stuff off at a different Amazon warehouse. Then they will send it to the Illinois warehouse. So the red sticker is basically an identification that its an Amazon product. Sometimes it will be a white sticker with purple outline.
You made my day! Really happy that you liked the Zippo. John from California.
You inspired me to send him a gift. Darla from California 😁

I don't think I could do that job and have to deal with whiny crackheads.
He pays way too much for this garbage, I don't get it.
Its for the video.
He gets interesting content for the video and also looks good by helping someone out. He might be losing money on the transaction but will get far more back from TH-cam for this video.
I doubt this is the norm when he isn't filming or else he wouldnt be in business
@@885Blackjack not hating on Pete, but the camera is on. i feel like he is almost creating moments (im not saying scripted) to win over viewers but what youtuber doesn't do that. besides, he gets so much extra income from this channel and the extra traffic driven to his ebay its not like a few bad flips here and there are going to hurt him. most of the items he gets there is a good profit margin.

The Coca Cola Bottling Company actually does give away awards to chairmans, some of those awards do not have anything to do with coca cola.
I am glad you found a way to help the guy with the clock.
I always appreciate how you know so much about the things in your store - more often than not I go to resale shops and they don't have details like you do about items
Shouldn’t have given him more than $10 for that clock. Your a saint for even offering $15.
For real a saint for offering anything for that crap
You helped that guy with his drug habit. Dont let drug addicts take advantage of you. He probably stole the clock from his grandma.
Spot on. Man clearly ran out of money and needed his fix. Definitely stolen. It's sad people live like that
It's OK to be nice once and awhile. I guess u never been down on your luck. You don't know his story. So it would be nice if u didn't tell it. Be nicer in the world
Pretty sure half the people you buy stuff off of in such a business are looking to engage in some vice or another. That seems just like the nature of the business.
Pawn shops look to take advantage of their customers as much as possible. It's nothing more than a little taste of karma when it comes back around.
@kevjames4236 He doesn't take advantage, he shows what they sell for and is completely honest about his profit margin. Plus he has alotof overheads to cover.
You get my respect for the way you treat the people who are down and out……
The Cokeacola Clock dude almost started crying, cause he saw his next Fix slowly but surely Vanishing into thin air LOL
The [most likely] addict said he needed money, and when you offered him some, he rejected it. Most likely he stole everything. I wouldn't give him a dime for his habit.
Judge much?
That's fair but just know once you're on drugs and you need a fix to stop your withdrawal that is a scary thing so have some compassion. I had a two year opioid addiction and I learned through that experience that most people do actually want to stop , it's the withdrawal that makes you keep going not the high. In fact depending on what you're on or what drug it is you can't just stop cold turkey you have to ween down. Not condoning drug addicts but if that guy was desperate for a fix I understand. Still I get it though, Pete didn't have to overpay he was very nice by doing so. Hopefully he at least gets his money back.
If he stole that stuff he is the worst thief ever
@@nicholasnoriega1205 I was compassionate and I was burned, more than once. I've already experienced the, "You're a life saver! I'll fix my car with this money, thank you SO MUCH," only to hear that I was being laughed at as they smoked their crack pipes with my money. I learned a valuable lesson. Addicts will lie, cheat, steal, abuse, and sometimes kill to get money for their habit. I realize they need help, but THEY [in most cases] chose to take their first drug. I didn't make the choice to take drugs when I was offered numerous times. So why should I feel compassionate for someone, [IF he is], who's habit has escalated to the point of crime? Theft has risen enormously; so much so, that many businesses are closing. Consumers are paying higher prices to compensate for theft. I'm not going to pay another dime by giving and addict money so he can go possibly OD. Believe me, taxpayers already pay for drug programs. Enough is enough.
That guy was a fucking ingrate. He was lucky to get ANYTHING for that crap.
Watching your videos always makes me smile and many thanks for that...Would love to work in your shop ...🙂
I’ve got a little property on Washington island for camping getaways. No cabin on ours just a nice wooded 2.5 acre lot but glad to see someone else geek out over door county

If mass produced, worthless shit from 1998 is now considered “antique” I’m sitting on a damn gold mine!!! Lol.
You have the best site and the best ethics possible . Everyone can learn a lot about people in general. Very admirable.
The Amazon claim is BS. Third party's buy the stuff that has been returned to fulfillment centers and then goes through a process which I used to do. Check out the contents of the box, manual, accessories, does it work etc. Then we determine is we can return it to stock or if it goes to pallets with defective product and that sticker is placed on the package to differentiate it.
Everyone’s talking about the clock guy, I guess chainsaw guy slid under the radar. But he was jonesing pretty hard.
Dude I immediately picked up on that. Especially when he says 175 and you can tell dudes stoked he could get that much lol.

It's awesome to see some of those McFarlane NHL figures. I have a few myself. Unfortunately, most of those figures came in plastic clamshells and not in boxes, so once you cut them open, that is it. Also, most of those Goalies should come with a tiny puck, which is the easiest to lose. Would be surprised if the Goalies came complete with them

The guy with the clock and clarinet seemed over exaggerated like he came in there to purposely “oversell” with the acting. Idk that’s just the vibe I got as it’s so rare to see someone come into this store (at least what we’ve been shown) that is so evidently on drugs. Man... I was struggling needing money when I was 18, not drugs, a gambling loss...1999 (I used to sell sports cards at events/so I had about $8000 value in cards from 89-93, reasonably thinking real value is about 10%... and then negotiate for that, so I was hoping in the $600, but i'd reluctantly take $400/ $375... The guy said he was no where close... He said it'd be damn near disrespectfull for what he'd offer and what others would offer... I had outdated rookies that weren't the buzz anymore... He basically said "don't waste your time trying to sell them, had I thought I could get $500 (and I know people) I'd offer you $320-$350... but I can't... and man, you have a cool collection that is unique to you, keep them, and you'll enjoy them when your older... Give them to your kids or neighbors" .... So I took his advice and still had the cards when I was 40 before I gave them away.
Having the total come to $90 was the exact tactic he wanted... Let the guy offer $100 and its a solid deal, win-win... The guy can't go to $110 to $115 or $140 without looking petty...

2. item could get returned or something could go wrong in shipping - and you have to be willing to refund or work with a customer
