The Lad with the coins seemed like a genuine down to earth hard working kind of guy down on his luck, most likely suffers from substance abuse and is probably how he got in there in the first place. Prayers out for Him and hopefully a brighter future.

Also, it’s really interesting to just see all of the unique individuals that come into your shop. And you seem like a really honest, no bullsh!t kinda guy. That seems pretty rare in your line of business. But yeah, I’m so glad I’m stumbled upon your channel!
Yeah this for me beats the original Pawnshop TV show from Las Vegas. It’s just real, unlike “Reality TV!” There’s no setup or crazy rare and extraordinary valuable stuff that comes in. Stuff that belongs in a museum or that they were never going to agree on price, whatever b.s.! That Pawnshop reality show would setup the craziest stuff and make it look real…but real pawnshops rarely see stuff like that. So definitely prefer this over the TV series/show, though I used to watch that in the early days. I think most Americans have watched that very popular show, but this is reality. You get to see all walks of life and all the cool items or scans, it’s almost always interesting or funny! Love it!

I’m 52yo and have been in the business since I was 5yo my parents did it as a weekend hobby back in the mid 1970’s…. Dad was a GM for a large advertising company in Cleveland Ohio and on weekends we would wake up extra early jump in the car and head off to the garage/yards back then you could go all day and yes you can still go all day now but the key is FINDING STUFF all day anyway we would sale all day and either end up In Pennsylvania or southern Ohio and pull into one of those old school Mom & Pop motels with the little swimming pool out front then wake up and garage/yard sale all the way back home..

I can’t tell you how many times more often then not having to ride back home either sitting on a box lol or having to be a contortionist with the space I had but I loved those days and Dad passed about 9 years ago but I still take Mom to sales as often as I can which is a lot lol..
But it’s a whole new world out there compared to now back then you had to learn and put many hours in doing so but NOW when you go to sales most time there’s a handful of people in there zapping everything with there phones because most don’t care about learning the ins and outs they just depend on there handy robot 📱 lol

I live in Canada and going Walleye , trout , pike etc fishing next week in Northern Quebec . We got a 30 year old cabin there , offgrid, no electricity no cell service , and broken many propeller pins in those rocky waters, especially when water is low! This video got me excited . Cant wait!

The walleye fishing is good at Belleville, Ontario. There is a boat launch there if I remember correctly. In the town. There is a bridge crossing over the water and that is where they are. Also, best time for those walleyes: November during turnover. It's cold and windy but the fishing is good.

You need to weigh the Morgan silver dollars as there are a huge number of Morgan dollars that are counterfeit. The counterfeit silver dollars “look” very authentic, including wear and patina. Beware…
I have that same oak machinist tool chest and it cost me $100 full of tools too. That one is completely trashed and barely even worth it for parts. Great instincts, Peter. You would spend so much time and money getting it to the condition mine is it and it would cost way more than just buying an original in good condition.

anyone that sees this, pls dont have your dogs wear service vests(a thing service dogs are not required to wear) if they arent at that level yet. this dog is no where near public access level. Lunging at animals and people to play can interfere with legit service animals trying to task because they arent going to be used to pets in most stores. This store has pets and has allowed pets in the past obvs so its a little different but that service dog vest is likely being used for him to gain access to places with that animal when hes not a service dog. I hope im wrong in that assumption but most people dont put service dog on their vests when this is their dogs behavior because they know they'd be a distraction for tasking animals. A service animal would be potentially focusing on the lunging as a potential source of danger and focus on safety instead of their caretakers condition causing them to not task when needed.
In situations where it is not obvious that the dog is a service animal, staff may ask only two specific questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform? if the animal is lunging with a service vest on, pls ask them to take the animal back to a safe location outside of your store to encourage them to do the training needed for public access. They don't even need to be service dogs, they need to be well trained in public in this dog is not. my service dog will miss cues my body is giving if a dog is lunging towards anyone or any animal because hes then focused on keeping me safe and not caring that im going to faint.

This is about a person having their dog wear a service dog vest when it is NOT a service dog and it's a problem nearly every time i take my animal into public. At around the 16:15 mark, Pete tells his employee to finish writing up the customer's invoice. The employee should've told the customer on the phone at the 14:20 mark, that we'll call him back, which he didn't, but should've told him. Pete was 100% right to tell his employee what to do. Finish serving the customer first, before going to another customer. Capeesh!

Probably would help your character way more to learn how to Interpret situations correctly first. Before trying to come across as a professional judge of what's done correctly or not and pointing all that out.

It's crazy that society has to trade in or sell valuable items to keep a phone on or get a phone fixed. This in itself is proof of how detached we are from reality. We pay phone companies to track us. 1 universal tool at pur fingertips is one of the most destructive forms of communication in human history.

I am familiar with those binoculars from cruise ships that have more unique itineraries. For instance they are mounted on the deck of the ship to watch polar bears out on glaciers or whales breaching etc…

I just had an idea for those awesome binoculars that have the dent in that one corner. See what it would cost to have it fixed. That's a beautiful pair of binoculars if you mounted it right on a pair of tripod looking at least probably 3 1/half to 4000 $, the value was there to have it fixed knowing their vintage.
The leather scabbard is for a kabar (e.g., USN Mk 2), so probably 1940s hence why the leather is dry.
