I bought Ronin 10 days back even after knowing every single feature and looks of RE Hunter. I was Royal Enfield Classic 350 (2016) owner. The feel was good in that bike, but features and safety was missing, and was not a city rider. So I had to upgrade to Ronin even after being an RE fan and knowing that the hunter is around the corner. Ronin is a perfect bike for me and a more practical product. Seems like this bike is crafted exactly according to my liking and riding style. Hunter missed out on a lot. And trust me it doesn't even give that old school of RE. So no regrets after buying Ronin. It's and an amazing VFM product in this price range currently in the Indian 2 wheeler market. Period. 😇
Hi Rohit a question for you. I test rode the ronin and noticed the bike idles at 2K rpm. Usually all bikes idle at 1K rpm. Does it happen to your bike as well? And if yes do u know why?
My guess is it’s due to GLide through traffic technology by tvs.
@@dhvanantrivedi Yes, you're right, it's actually set little high on purpose due to GTT technology which is completely normal. Actually Ronin must idle at 1350 RPM as per the standards of service manual. But since the bike is new and especially when you do a cold start it goes to 2k rpm. Later on as the engine warms up, the idling gradually goes down automatically to around 1.3-1.4k rpm in the reading. So nothing to worry about. It's pretty common. Let the FI system handle all the hard work. 😉🤘🏻

Thanks for this detailed analysis which reinforces my conviction about Ronin being a better product as its lighter,has more comfortable ergonomics both for rider and pillion, have higher ground clearance . The cons being limited steering angle thereby Ronin's turning radius would be higher and its higher compression ratio would have lower engine life factor and generate more heat. Ronin may not fetch as much resale value than Hunter and the possibility of obscelence and easy availability of spares cannot be ruled out

Very nice Review. Agree that exhaust of Hunter is short but it has really a rocking sound effect. I wonder why the odometer of Ronin was zero eventhough you were riding the bike. Hats off to TVS for bringing this amazing product 👏
Its because this bike has not been sold yet. They keep the meter disconnected so it doesn't end up with a big number on ODO.
Bought the Ronin within a week of its launch. Even though I knew Hunter was about to come, and on some level I did think I might regret the purchase once Hunter launches. But I'm really happy that I went with Ronin, no regrets, looking at the VFM package in Ronin vs the Hunter.
Same with me bro.. I booked it within a week and confused a bit when hunter launched.. But somewhere my heart says Ronin is the best choice

What a view Bro. I felt like traveling into the centre of Milkyway Galaxy and by the way nicely explained between Ronin and Hunter.
Today we have 3 promising products above 200cc priced around 1.5 Lakh : Pulsar 250, Yamaha FZ 25, and TVS Ronin... Most people need bike for like 75% city use and 25% highway and primarily seek the following in their bike:
1. Comfort for rider and pillion for those weekend trips
2. Decent power on Highway
3. Driving Feel
4. Reasonble fuel economy
Kindly suggest best bike for these requirements

I think the only advantage of the RE over this TVS is RE has rear dual shocks which is a good thing to have when going on long rides, with saddles and a pillion.
Matlab hunter ka suspension system jayeda accha hai app bol rahe ho?
It's the opposite actually. Mono-shock gives you better comfort, control even with a pillion.
@@anudolu Yes, in fact any bike with dual suspension are always better in terms of comfort, but now a days, manufacturers are so obsessed with performance that they are ditching dual for mono.
@@allah___maadarchod Sorry to say brother but you are half right, mono shocks gives you better control than dual ones, but dual suspensions are always known for better comfort as it distributes the load evenly on both side of the bike's chassis. Dual shocks are more reliable as they can carry more load, easy and cheap to maintain. The disadvantage of dual is when a bike takes a turn, the load is unevenly distributed to the bike's frame, resulting in uneven twist on the chassis, .This leads to less control of the bike while taking turns. Mono transfers the turning force on a single point on the chassis, resulting in an even transfer of the angular force on the chassis.
Dual shocks are more reliable for bikes which are meant for long trips as if a mono shock fails, your bike is stranded for good, whereas for dual, if one fails, at least you can haul your bike to the nearest repair center on the other suspension.

Despite offering so little, RE has been able to sell its Hunter more than TVS Ronin. It seems most buyers opted for a bigger engine and a bigger brand name.

I have taken a test ride of hunter 350 , but what I feel is hunter 350 is good , yes it has not that kind of feeling like Classic 350 and Meteor 350 have , but this time RE has focused on city commuting bike so that's why they have produced hunter 350 in Indian market, and because of it's ( hunter 350 ) light weight its easy to ride in city traffic, though it's heavier than TVS Ronin. But all i can say is those who wants RE hunter 350 specially for city usage as well as the RE owner feeling they can obviously buy it . Also RE has a special eye catchy, attracting apperance .But those who wants a practical, more features bike then they can go for Ronin . But again both bikes are good and value for money
I dnt like the design of hunter 350 specially headlight and backside of the bike. Moreover no DRL on headlight. It somehow looks premium bcz of its colour only. I'm thinking to buy meteor 350 but since Ronin launched, I have this confusion whether to go for meteor or Ronin.

I took test drive of both today .. Ronin is a much powerful and reliable engine. Also posture is better on Ronin.
The only bike I see that can dethrone Ronin from this segment is the rumoured Bajaj new Avenger with the 250cc engine from Pulsar 250 twins but it needs to have similar prices while keeping quality good.
Or the rumoured Bajaj x Triumph cafe racer bike

another problem with this chain is that the other side of chain is not covered...and that's why from right side chain cleaning is very difficult....this type of chain covered is not good ...tvs should either go for full cover or left it empty. i am facing this problem...but it is a good vehicle....very comfortable

Suspension set up makes a lot of difference as TVS provides Showa which many reviewers don't even mention, it is a pity, this is not even on Honda cb300r at that huge price, which is even more pitiable so is its sales...

Hunter J series engine is better than older RE engines. The torque gives you a pleasure to drive.
Why not look at Hunter 350 for what it is and not a "RE Hunter 350". I'd say in that case its a great bike.You can't overlook that j-platform engine. It's really good. And who's gonna give you a 350cc engine for that price. These are just my thought, TVS definitely deserves respect for what they've achieved with Ronin.
350 cc but it's power is suppressed it only gives you more torque apache 310RR is more powerfull than RE 350 engine
@@yash_kolapkar_ Bro that’s obvious right, one is a Long Stroke engine and the other is an Over Square engine, they will only behave as per their design right. One is meant for torque and the other for power 🤷🏻♂️
Which 350cc engine gives you 20bhp? Had it been atleast 24-25 it would be great. Even ns200 gives 24bhp despite being a 200cc.

Hunter have LED indicator options too in MIY 1st time in RE so change the headlight after market and now you have all LED setup..

I am planning to purchase Base model with single ABS. I want to know if there is any issue with having only front ABS in this bike as in does rear tyre skids when we apply both breaks at higher speed.

RE known for longitivity and sutainiability of engine. We can use RE 20-25 years for sure but not sure about TVS Ronin.

To get that top speed you need more power to get 150 top end we need a 300 cc torque engine

The mistake, what yamaha did with Rx 100 , same mistake ROYAL ENFIELD is doing with classic model . Don't change the physical appearance of classic 350 and 500 , just add the safety features more with more value added things . People purchase Royal Enfield classic with a big nostalgia .

You spent around 1.8 lakh (not top variant) and do not get a comfortable seat for pillion, it's a deal breaker feature for me. I want my pillion to sit comfortably especially if they are Mom,Aunt or wife .
