    IMPORTANT NOTES.
    1. Shoutout to Alec Coutinho (@aleccoutinho on instagram) for filming the intro. He went crazy. Give him a follow.
    2. To be clear everything in this video is flexible in my life. I have a child and I have responsibilities so every day doesn’t go according to plan. Perfection is obviously the goal but not something I expect daily. Habits like this are not all or nothing. A combination of perfect days and the days where it’s a struggle to stick to just one habit will produce results greater than you not trying at all. Showing up is what has helped me move towards my goals. Not perfection.
    3. In the section about setting weekly targets I added an on screen note about how the topic relates to business. I used running as an easy metaphor but after editing I realize how it does not align with the overall topic. In any creative job strict deadlines or expectations tend to dilute the creative process. These weekly targets have helped me be creative, more consistently, in the long run by removing that pressure.

    Agreed about creativity. You have to be surrounded by it, and let it embed itself in you.

    I dig your content, bruv. Been following for you for 3 years or so already. Nightly routines are so important. I have a rule: no phone/screen time after 9pm. I try to read a book which I find helps my brain to get into that restive state so I sleep better and feel better in the morning.

    I do the weekly thing. I go out somewhere and just wander around. Sometimes I make notes to go back.
    The photo a day thing, I added a theme to mine. It's challenging because sometimes it's something I am not good at (recently food photos) or a challenge to interpret it.

    • @RanftEvan
      @RanftEvan  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I like this challenge idea a lot! And The wandering is key. I kinda wish I had covered it more in the video but I think that wander element is what separates creative from most other tasks. You almost have to do it to get a result. But that wasn’t something I realized I could have talked about more till after the edit. Just want to say I always appreciate you showing support and commenting. It really means a lot to have subscribers like you 🙏

    Great video Ryan, thank you! Routines are super helpful, for sure! Exercising after waking up is a great way to start the day, I miss doing that. I have a love/hate relationship with journaling, I can really irritate the shit outta myself from writing then be pissed all fucking day! Haha! I’d love to figure out how to not irritate myself so that I can journal, I love writing. The weekly targets is a great idea. I’ve been making a to-do list daily for the past few days and it has helped me feel a shit ton more accomplished in my daily life. Whatever I don’t get done just get put on the next days list and not let it bother me. It feels great. Now just to implement a good routine for myself so that I can get myself organized enough to put my art out there to be a freaking creator that can have a bit of an income, I’d love to be able to financially help my family, one way or another. If we made 10grand a month, I’d definitely be in a house, have working vehicles, good food on the table, and have proper clothing to wear. Being financially poor eats at my soul. Ha! Time to get my ass in gear, eh?!

    Hi Evan, in some of your videos you edited photos on a tablet, may I inquire which model? I'm looking for a tablet to edit photos on the go. Thanks in advance!!

    Great info bro. Just signed up for Day One, that was right on time! Feb 1 I gotta start fresh. For your daily photo project, are you editing old photos, taking new ones to edit, or a mix of both? Just curious, I know it doesn’t matter either way!

    • @RanftEvan
      @RanftEvan  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Right now I’m going through old drives just because I’m usually very uninspired during the winter. But come spring and summer I want to move into newer photos and use the project as motivation. Good luck! Also enjoy day one, the voice to text is so huge if you’re more of an auditory person. That’s what sold me on them!

      @@RanftEvan ok I’m glad I’m not the only one who is unmotivated by winter. I mean luckily we got a sunny 72 degree day here in Dallas so I may get some shots in. And I have a good backlog of old pics, they were just TRASH back then lol! Thanks man I’m already 2 voice notes in!!! Definitely clutch! 🙏🏾

    I miss the POV street videos dude 🥲

    • @RanftEvan
      @RanftEvan  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Haha go talk to everyone who copied those videos and completely ruined them. I get what you’re saying tho. There has been plenty of behind the scenes in recent videos. Like the Nikon zf video that published recently. Or the iPhone street photography video. I know it may be harder to find those POV moments now because the videos are not directly titled “street photography behind the scenes”. I felt like I needed to pivot that pov style into something new and I’m trying my best to make everyone happy

      Oh mate I completely get it, no issues for me, but your POVs are awesome.
