I'm not sure what to say since I'm always tired and I just wanna binge watch anime and play games. All I can say is that after watching this video, it kind of gives me an idea on what I wanna do with my life. Right now I'm going to school, but I'm debating on staying or dropping out. I'm gonna stay for one more semester because a good friend of mine will be joining soon, and I wanna be there for them. But right now I'm gonna finish this semester and next semester, but I need to really think long and hard what I'm going to do, because I don't know if I wanna have a career or live the rest of my life staying home doing nothing. I know it sounds bad, but because I have some personal stuff going on with myself, I have the right to do that and be under my mother's care if I wanted to. But I debate if I can physically and mentally work or not. It really depends, because I have so many ideas what I wanna do, it's hard to decide whether I'll stick with it or not. For me, being a shut in is plan D, and that will ONLY happen if I know I can't work at all. Anyway idk where I'm getting at with this personal rambeling, cause I'm just barely figuring my stuff out. All I can say is that I have ideas, but not fully sure. But if I don't go to school, i will most likely not think about my future and distrwct myself with entertainment. So the best option I can do is to continue my education until I fully know what I want
Hey, thank you for sharing your story here. I'd like to say that what you are experiencing is so common at some point it happened to me and some former classmates. Your current plan sounds super ideal for this situation too. The only advice I'd give you is that while at school, if at some point you feel that what you're studying doesn't even feel even half exciting OR you've found WITHIN yourself what you think is something worth doing (a.k.a your passion) follow your instincts and make that big change before graduating. You may be surprised how many people in my school year at Computer Science drop out half or even at 3/4 of the way in and made their 180 shift in their life (One that stuck with me the most is someone left while remaining 1-2 semesters and pursued cooking and confectionery) I wish I had that courage from the beginning, but ultimately everyone is at their own journey and all of us will make life changing "mistakes", it is just a matter of feeling whether or not our decisions are giving us despair or sadness and how we can move forward to make it better. I hope nothing but the best in any of your endevours, my friend 🙏

Heya there I'm also Digital Artist here and also taking IT in college for the sake of financial stability like you did. I actually discovered that I really love to create and draw characters from imagination and even fanarts at age 12. I've been drawing cartoons, original characters and fanarts since I was in elementary and over the years, I have seen alot of improvements in my drawing and even develop my own artstye. Majority of the skills and, techniques I learned over the years from elementary to highschool are learned through online tutorials. However, I still suggest you study some of the artistic fundamentals so it can help get a better understanding on how compositions, color theory and perspective works. I even decided to go to senior high school and choose animation in order to learn more of art, and movements. But just like you, I had to follow what my parents say about having a realistic job that can give me lots of money, and I live also in country where multi-arts is not so much in demand. Right now I'm in college dealing with this. I'm still taking IT inorder to support my artisitc endeavor. I'm very glad that you shared this video as it gives me comfort that I'm not the only artist alone who is going through this ^^.

Realmente espero que puedas lograr tu sueño! No será tarea fácil, y será cosa de dibujar un poco todos los días, haciendo ehercicios tanto de habilidad como de creatividad. Lo mejor que te puedo recomendar es que al salir de tu zona de comfort con el arte busques bien como estudiar lo que tomas de referencia, por ejemplo estudia las proporciones tanto de humanos reales como de los inkling y octoling, qué características tienen cada uno, el estudiar como se mueve y actúa la ropa, colores, etc, pero no muerdas más de lo que puedes comer, empieza poco a poco, avanza a tu paso. Yo por mi parte he estado intentando poder vivir de hacer arte recientemente, y es muy difícil. Hay días donde siento que no puedo levantar el lápiz, pero ahora empiezo a sentirme lo suficientemente cómodo y en confianza conmigo mismo para poder seguir avanzando y poder lograr mi meta, la perseverancia es lo que importa!

Brother, I hope you and I will be able to make an honest living and hold onto our commitments. However, as a Splatoon player and Mexican myself, the game is pretty much over in terms of major game updates, and what we have now is just sweaty competitive players and other 'Splatubers' who are seemingly wanting to move onto other things and others who are staying. However, the series itself has affected people in so many ways and in so many places, but that's not the work of Nintendo or the community as a whole. It's us as individuals who continue to play this game, despite seeing an end of the road, despite being told that what we're doing is wrong. I also left my IT job to live a happier life doing things that make me happy, but I don't use my passion as my life's work because when that passion dies out, you can't come back to this without feeling like you missed out on something. I wish the both of us the best in our youtube careers, but please don't ever feel like your decision is the worst as everyone is different and has different situations. Best, Model Z

And for that life's work point I totally agree, everyone's life mission is to an extent just made up so that we don't feel nihilistic about it, so I'm aware this lifestyle choice of mine to pursuing a "dream job" has its own drawbacks and setbacks that might make me regret some parts of this decision in the future, who knows? At least I'd have the fact that I decided for myself something I think is worth it for me, instead of following others ideals, which none of those decisions make me either better or worse than anybody, is just something I want to do in my life that would give me tranquility knowing that I did try.
