The fact that Bottle Adventure requires Reverse Bottle Adventure suggests that RBA should be the real BA, but BA just happened to be named first so it stuck. It reminds me of how positive and negative charge were named backwards before we understood how electrons move.
It would be great to have a comprehensive list of tricks/things that we think the devs knew about and things that we think they didn't know about. There are so many quirky coincidences that allow for some pretty core tricks in today's standard for OOT speedrunning.
Hm, a bit strange that the game performs the check on the B-button since you're not supposed to be able to equip anything there that could change while in child mode in the first place. I also wonder why it bothers to do the check at all instead of just copying the corresponding item from the inventory in any case. If it's an item that can't change, it would simply copy the correct item anyway. Come to think of it, the whole _currently equipped on C-buttons_ part in the "backup equip" seems completely redundant. The pointers to inventory slots ought to be all the information necessary to restore the C-buttons in the "live equip".
Very well done, enjoyed all this even if I knew most of the stuff. I did end up wondering if you intended not to talk about BAing minigame items like bombchus. I think that might have been something extra to cover as well.
Episode 1 is about Infinite Sword Glitch, a bit less technical and polished but still a lot of good info I think. I havent made a playlist but I should lol.
Big poe relates to slingshot seed count. Small poe is bombchu count. You can use any other pairing too like fish and nut count, fairy and stick count. But anyway, farores wind is item ID 13, not 11, so you'll need 13 ammo of whichever pair you choose. Put any bottle on B as adult, go back in time, put the poe (or whatever you choose) on child Link's c right, make sure your ammo count of the corresponding item is 13, then go forward in time.
The last great fairy in OoT gives you a double defense upgrade, which outlines your hearts in white. Any hearts up to the number mentioned in slot 91 will get this outline, and will decrease the damage taken by half when they deplete.
The music (while great) is too loud and distracting for this video. The issue is mainly the sax (which is generally a loud instrument) and the fact that it’s a jazz version of oot music which diverts attention from your voice.
jazz is a nice touch
You succeeded in making this crystal clear. Congrats
Will this be on the test?
Great video again, really well paced, detailed, and clear!
🅱️ottle adventure
Oh hey...😳
I especially appreciated 2:40 - 2:49

Awesome video and I appreciated the smooth jazz for such a demanding topic!
great explanation, very thorough

Amazing video I enjoyed it.

Do you have a subject for part 4, if not might I suggest Equip Swap or Wrong Warp?

Thanks for these videos :) i cant find episode 1, is there a playlist somewhere?

so if i want farore's wind on B, i need to have a big poe on C-Right, and make sure my bombchu count is 11. right?

@@dannyb21892 sweet! thank you!
Probably a dumb question, but what's a double defense heart count (Slot 91)?
