Iceman Cometh 2024 Course Pre-Ride

- 2024 Iceman course pre-ride. Does not include the first sections of the start at the airport, as no one is allowed through there per FAA regulations. Add about 0.6 to 0.7 miles to my ride data for accurate mileage. There is a section near Timber Ridge where I missed a turn (missed about a mile at the end including Wood Chip Hill and the singletrack after it) and may be a few other spots missing, so be sure to pre-ride the course yourself. This is not the official course, but close to it.

What an amazing trail! ... just keeps going! MTB heaven ... is race day normally snowed out? ... definitely one to put in my bucket list of challenges! even if off season/summer .... thanks for sharing!
It’s a great ride. There hasn’t been snow on race day the last several years, though temps are below freezing some years. I figure it’s about due for a snow race at some point. Rain and mud are more likely than snow, but you never know in Michigan!

Maxxis Aspen ST 29x2.25. They measure 2.31 on my rims.

Does the race organizer provide shuttle back to the start?
Yes, there are trucks that will take your bike back to the start as well as a bus to take you. No cost.
@@justinjewell11 It's a relief 😮💨 when the race organizer handles all the logistics. Have a good race. It sounds like a diverse course.
