That barre F-chrod is heck for me (made me leave the guitar 17 years ago) but where I have issue is string two as I can't get my first finger to ring it out on any of my three guitars (all have various width of nuts 41/42/43 and 1 is a 24in scale model). I have tried all sorts of positions to even hurting myself but that string, and my first finger are not on speaking terms.
This is one song that i find haunting and always like listening to. Transposing it from a Piano to Guitar is not easy to keep the essence of the song. Thanks for teaching us this one Lauren, this will be a tricky one to play well.
@@LaurenBatemanI am determined to play this one, i will keep practicing until i have nailed it. At least with your excellent lesson i might win for a change.
Thank you so much Lauren, your patience, understanding and dedication to tutoring us is amazing and appreciated. Love and blessings from Kruger Park in SA.
Great tutorial. The song is pretty straight forward. The only thing I find challenging is to connect the F barre chord with the next chord. There's always a slight pause when I lift the barre and fret the next chord.
Love this, Lauren! Really wonderful additions to spice this up. I am working at the strumming now, eventually I will attempt the finger-picking version. Thanks for bringing this song to us. I feel like it is the most important song of my lifetime.
You are a good teacher and I like to thank you for this lesson. It was the best lesson. I also like the way you show the chords and tabs. Excellent job.
THANK YOU LAUREN for this Wonderful Tutorial of this BEAUTIFUL SONG🎸🎸🎸 - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!🙏🙏🙏. I can’t wait to tackle this song!!! Appreciate it😍. GOD Bless you!😇
I have been trying to find a simpiler way to play this,I have seen 3 other players and I just couldn't get it,but I got it better with you, your rhythm was a touch too fast on the verse but I got the switch on the bridge to chorus, but I can do it now,I gotta go to work on this cause I love this song,I feel like this sometimes, like I'm the only one that knows what's going on🤔🌷⚘💓🌹💓🌷🥰 Thank you...Mrs.Bateman..
For the fingerpicking pattern, I thought it is easier to slide my second finger from the second fret to the third fret and use my thumb to play the lick. Anyone who has a problem with playing the lick can try this instead
Would using TAB sheet music suffice for Finger Style playing as well or is there a difference? I'm leaning toward TAB style playing is more for lead guitar playing using an electric guitar. Can you explain the difference to me?
Appreciate your Content that you share with us🙏🙏🙏………✅I’m going to Finally try to master this F Barr Chord……i usually just play the simpler version. Really looking forward to learning that iconic “lick”😍
Hi Lauren, have you heard the song " Marley Purt Drive" by the Bee Gees, may be a good song to cover and teach. Thanx again for your time. Blessings and love. Kruger Park in SA.
@@LaurenBateman It's a very old Bee Gees song but it has a lovely beat and I think very simple chords, would love to hear you sing it...🤗👍blessings from the bush.
There's a band in SA, Prime Circle, that sing a song called " She always gets what she wants" this song would be a good challenge for your followers. Give it a bash, I know you can. Be safe. KNP, Kruger National Park SA.🤗
Hi Lauren, was just thinking, I owe you an apology, please forgive me if I come across a bit to much, let me know if I'm to pushy, suppose it's my old age. Once again I'm terribly sorry. 😞😞
HI, Lauren, Thank you for this great lesson. Imagine by John Lennon and Yoko is one of my favorites, and I look forward to learning. By the way, your Rhythm Course is very helpful to me! All the best, Cher

Yes, that can be difficult. To maintain timing, you may need to drop a strum or two until the chord transition catches up.
@@LaurenBateman Thank you so much your advice. Makes good sense.
Really good. I like the way you explain those little details, Barre, or modified chord for F and E7 and other explanations.
You're welcome!

I like tab better as it tells you which strings to play. Staff is the traditional way of readig music.
