  • After 1 year where my Moringa trees have survived the winter in Southern California. It is now late spring (May) and the trees are producing in full effect.

For Southern California, I read somewhere that the best time to prune them if your winter gets down to like 30 degrees is towards the end of winter in your area. For me, that was late January early February. Pruning actually encourages growth, so if you do not prune them during the colder months, they do a bit of a dormancy period. That was my strategy for the first two years and it seemed to work. Now that they are older, already past 2 years, I'm not quite as worried about encouraging dormancy in the colder months.
