Green screens in OBS when lighting is poor: multiple Chroma Keys

  • I don't have space for an "ideal" green screen setup, so I've had to do some odd things in OBS to get a solid green screen effect when the screen itself isn't evenly lit.
One technique I've not seen discussed in other videos is using multiple Chroma Key filters to target different areas of the screen - I'll show you how to get that working here.

Thank you, this was exactly what I needed. I’ve been looking through many lengthy videos to find this particular nugget of information, and none of them have ever mentioned it. Nice job, and even did it in under 4 minutes! I would like this video 10 more times if I could!

Ohhhhhh. OBS Chroma Keys are applied sequentially, I hadn't noticed that or been told it before. This also clarifies a bit of why my chroma keys were interacting in odd ways when I activated more than one at a time.

Thanks for the video! The tip on turning off the Key Color Spill reduction on the first filter really helped!

Yup, same thing that helped me as I noticed the same problem, two chroma offset each other, will try this option now!

Hmm. It's hard to know what to suggest without seeing your setup. Have you set the Key Color Spill Reduction to the minimum on the top one?
