I have a feeling that 19X sales have finally slowed down enough that this makes sense to come out with. I work at a big box gun place. Even some non gun people know what the 19X is. 19Xs are frequently sold over 45s because of the color alone. A lot of people don't really care about the features. They just want the color.

Your review is spot on, bur Glocks are boring. So let's get poetic and imagine how Colion Noir would describe it: "The Glock 19Xmos is a bit like Stacy from college. Sure, she ain't the prettiest or most exciting girl, but better than going home alone again. The reliable same old same old, safer than unprotected behind the train station, but you wouldn't brag aboit it to your buddies. If you are messing with springs on a Glock, you don’t know Jack about guns. The difference between the C and a normal Glock is nothing but ports, you don’t shoot any better.
I like Glocks. I own a 23 gen 4, a 17 gen 5, and a 43X MOS. But if I'm looking into something like the 19X, I'm gonna go with the 45 and get some tall Ameriglos and an aftermarket threaded barrel if I want to suppress, though I'm not sure if I'd want to given the problems with suppressing. Great video Chris!
A Glock is a Glock, just like the 1911, the AR15, Ak, Sig P226, 10/22, Beretta M9, etc... These are proven platforms that lasted this long, because they work. If is good enough for CAG, Seals, Marsoc, PJ's Rangers, IDF and Green Berets is good enough for me.
I know people have been saying it. But I'm going to add my 2€. Mrs. Outlaw has improved her shooting all around so much. It's quite impressive to see. Kudos to you both for all you bring to this community.
Classic is a great word you used to describe Glock. Same as it was when they first came out. They finally caught up to the 2020’s and do what other makers have perfected in the past 10 years.
I used to think if I buy one of these I would get the 45 because I wanted the ability to put a dot on it, but at the same time I really like the 19X, but since this has the dot option I will definitely be choosing one of these if I ever buy one.
Oh I'm well aware of that. Honestly I got enough metal working skills that I could probably do it myself (I don't think it would be a good idea for me to try it though). That being said I would rather just buy one that already had the slide cut.@@HWG-wm8ld
Blech Glock 19 MOS Black guns Matter runs just fine and at GSSF pricing you can buy the after market Threaded barrel with the savings and be done with it.
I just got a Glock 19 gen 5 a few months ago, and I personally absolutely love the thing, more so than my Canik tp9sf elite. It just feels at home in my hands. The only pistol that I’ve shot that I would pick over my Glock is the Sig p226, the only other handgun that fit my hands perfectly and felt amazing to shoot…I just don’t wanna shell out the money for a 226 though.
I think we're all a little fudd at this point. What do all these guns, old and new, do? Throw lead down range. All the same shit, different day. Glock is the reliability king still.
Glock actually did meet the modular requirements. They did it with the replacement/adjustable back straps. Sig did it with different size grip frames. Sigs chassis trigger system had nothing to do with meeting the military’s requirements. These 2 pistols were the only remaining when the trails were never finished. So they never determined which was the better pistol before making their decision. The 19X will accept all generation mags except the gen5 mags. Liked the video.
Glock submitted just the one pistol because it met all the criteria. The 19x would not have made it as a finalist if it hadn’t met all the criteria. Even Chris Bartocci in his channel Small Arms Solutions has a few videos talking about this very subject. He definitely knows more on this subject than I but I too have found the same info from doing research.
If anyone really thinks that an Sig is better than a Glock, or a Glock is better than a M&P, a Glock is better than an Sig, a FN, CZ…etc. they are nearly identical and all can do the job. Use what you want, how you shoot is what matters.
As more and more people get frustrated with the recoil on the current micro9’s you will see them migrate back to guns like the Glock 19x . It’s a cycle that happens over and over again
I have the original 19x, then the VERY limited release TB and have one of these ordered. Its nice to see they are finally listening and putting out what people want.
I do like my Glock and I have had it for a little over a year. Different strokes for different folks as my Glock pistol is exactly the same as the day I bought it. No fancy optics, no tactical light, no upgrades, no fancy barrel or slide or trigger assembly it's simply a pistol that works and works every time. That's how Glock designed it so my thought is not to do anything to it. That's all I need for carry conceal and home defense. This at least for me, isn't a fashion show but again, everyone is different.
They should’ve removed the grip front lip for Gen5 mag compatibility and put forward slide serrations. Heck they just could’ve painted a Glock 45 in that peanut butter FDE for that matter and call it a 19x and you would have all this. 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for all the informative videos. It is decision time for me with several things to consider for an EDC what, how, where, and when. I find your videos to be the most helpful. Thanks again!
Ive rented a couple of different walter PDPs at different ranges in my area. The trigger without a doubt is the best, but all of the ones ive shot have alot more felt recoil then M&P and glocks ive shot (in my experience). I finally just got a glock, they seem to be the best as far as things the aftermarket cannot change (bore access, reliability, and ambi slide release) I wanted an M&P so bad but the right side slide release doesn't actually release the slide, you can only lock the slide with it.
Love my M&P's and you are correct to a point. The slides can be released on a few of my 2.0's but not the Shield Plus or 1.0's. I do like the G17 and getting better with it though.
@@mikewithers299 I've only messed with the 2.0s and none of those I could release the slide from the right side. Maybe yours is super broken in and you can, but most of the rentals I've touched were very worn and couldn't, and the new ones from a counter I couldn't either. Well, technically you can but they required 2 hands pushing down as hard as I could
@WarheadFPS I got mine new and was able to use the release right from the first shots. Shield Plus, still no after hundreds of rounds. OG Shield, never. Even after 1000 rounds. 2.0 in 10mm, 9mm, 45 yes. They added a little more pad to push on. It does help but it's not easy like a Glock
It will eventually break in and work as a slide release. Had the same issue with the M&P Shield +. Owned that gun for less than a month before selling it never fired. I'm about to do the exact same thing with a never fired CZ Shadow 2 Compact, but for a much different reason. I need the money. The gun, RMRSC optic plate (now impossible to find and expensive when you do) and a IWB holster all for 1300 Cheerios..... Hate to do it, but got to eat and pay bills....
Get a pistol that's complete from the factory and you don't have to spend money on aftermarket changes to make it a good pistol! HK VP9 just to name one.
I really wish they’d sell it with the manual safety that they offered for the military contractor. I know, I know, Glock is generally opposed to such things and manual safeties aren’t really necessary, but I still feel better with one.
Love glocks and have original 19x. My question is why does all the casings in your video look like it’s hitting your optic nerve. Ejection pattern looks bad, or is it just me? Great video as always 👍🏼
Issued a Glock 45 for duty carry some time back. When the time comes, I’ll just buy it back at a reduced price and paint it in a coyote color. Problem solved.
People who have undying love for glocks are pretty simple. They opened up a new market and then sat in the back seat to watch everyone else surpase them. Talk about throwing a lead.
I have still never had any issues with any of my P320’s . I guess I’m one of the lucky unicorns. Great review on the new 19x. Good firearm but nothing new except new from Glock
I've had several and haven't had any issues, but from what I understand the big problems were with the first run (pretty typical, but not good). My biggest gripe is their inherent inaccuracy. If you run a red dot on one and you practice dry fire, you'll see the slide hop up and down with the sear engagement every trigger pull. That's a huge design flaw that they have STILL never fixed.
My eight years as a 12B I could whole heartily say that if it is good enough for the military does not necessarily means it's good enough for you. The military always pick the lowest bidder even if the better option virtually cost no more than the cheap one
It's frankly amazing how much attention every, single little variation to the Glock pistols receive. Compared to something like the PDP or the Echelon, the Glocks really do look like they're 30-40 years behind the times.
What has the M&P, Sig, CZ done to innovate? My 25 year old AK is identical to a new one. My 40 year old 1911 is identical to a new one, oh it’s got a rail… wow. My AR can use the same bolt as the M16 my dad used in Vietnam. You want bells and whistles, buy a Tesla.
4Runner and that’s fine with me. It’s no better or worse than any of the other top manufacturers, smith, CZ, fn, HK, beretta, etc. they all copied a Glock.
@@HWG-wm8ld I disagree, as most of the manufacturers you’ve mentioned have evolved and innovated offering several better options. I love glocks, they’re just not great.
Threaded barrel is nice. I have it on my Gen 5 Glock 17 and 19. Choose a good long B&T IMPULS IIA 13,5X1LH 9MM and it works with subsonics normally, like a Glock. You have other advantages too. It makes the gun heavier and nose heavy so WAY less recoil. Then you have literally two guns in one (brings the weight to metal gun weight). I think there is no point to buy anything compact or light that does not suppress the sound that much. Your ears will thank you later. Even the Gen 5 Glocks are nothing special but they are jack of all trades. Overall nice guns. Changed the trigger on Glock 17 for longer range shooting (Timney).
@jessesando8582 My point is that a new, completely overhauled Glock isn't gonna do anything that the older ones couldn't do. You can change the aesthetics and the ergonomics, but it's hard to improve on something that's already so simple, durable, and reliable. We've pretty much reached the peak of what's possible with individual projectile-based firearms and until there's a major breakthrough in caseless ammunition or energy weapons, a plain Glock will work just fine.
The original poster is the only comment on here that has a brain. What kind of innovation do you think is needed? Has the AK, AR, 1911 innovated in the last 60 years? You guys that cry about innovation are girls that need the new purse or latest phone.
@@explodojones if you're of the mind that Glock is quite literally perfection, I can't change your mind. My point is, That's still what most people would have said in any given era of firearms history. It takes ideas and people who are dissatisfied with some function, and they improve it. It might be the little things right now, as it has been for probably 10 years, but there will always be another jump in innovation. Glock could very easily capture a bigger market share if they would make simple improvements that people have complained about for years. Improvements aren't just "new and fancy", they can actually improve the performance.
Love the glock platform but hate oem glocks. That why I'd rather build 3rd party and get Shadow Systems . Cheaper and less work than gettibg a shitty stock glock and having to stipple, swap the trigger, get a good rmr optic cut , change the sights excetra
@HWG-wm8ld Okay that's a good argument for Glock in a way. If you want to make a gun truly 100 percent custom and unique. That isn't for me to spend 1200 on a Glock but I agree with thr after market support
The government’s solicitation didn’t require a removable FCU. It only asked for changeable grip sizes, which the 19X met. They chose the Sig strictly due to price.
I've shot my managers 19x, he has a Timney trigger, Boresight stipple job, and it's milled for an RMR...it shoots so much better than my PDP that it kinda ruined my PDP for me. The trigger of the PDP, but the shooting characteristics of a Glock...that's kinda whete the CZ P10 comes in.
I had a P10 S until very recently. Alright trigger for a striker, reliable, light and easy to carry, took the C and F mags well. _But,_ I was shooting to the right and had no idea why. Me being idiot me, I was aligning the sights "correctly" and getting mid-right "flyers" all day and it wasn't till like 400 rounds later that I even noticed the problem. Upon closer inspection, the cut in the slide for the rear sight was milled incorrectly, with an uneven and very shallow "V" cut instead of a straight line. As a consequence, my rear sight was permanently slid all the way to the right, with no hope of sight adjustment, as it was too close to the cut (which should have been straight) to drift punch or loosen and reset. They say every gun is factory tested out to 45 feet or something before being sent off-- yeah right. I was getting these problems at half the distance, and the problem was embarrassingly easy to spot. Someone at the factory should have seen it as well, well before I did, but _especially_ before it hit the store shelf. Sold at a loss. I think I'll stick to their hammer guns next time, if I ever buy CZ again. Those shoot straight all day.
I bought a GEN1 M&P 9mm & being a full size duty pistol just wasn’t what I thought I wanted. Add in the fact I couldn’t shoot it for crap & I was over it really quick. Sold it & picked up my 1st GEN 4 G19. I bought the Glock probably 8-10yrs closer too 10 out of necessity of wanting & feeling I needed a quality side arm I could depend on with a track record line no other. Enter the Glock, I then bought the GEN5 G45 for my wife. Again out of necessity & the 17 round mag with 19 size slide seemed to fit her well. We love our Glocks & I can’t lie I am some what of a Glock fanboy. However I started looking for a smaller EDC & watched HOL’s review on the S&W Shield+ ended up scooping said plus up & man I absolutely love this pistol. I still carry my GEN4 G19 often thanks to my Alien Gear IWB appendix holster comfortably. However I carry my + EDC to work, the trigger is 1 of the best I’ve ever felt on a striker fired pistol. I recently seen the M&P 2.0 Spec held it & am seriously considering selling one of the Glocks & a pump 12g with a good amount of ammo & grabbing up the Spec. It’s aesthetically pleasing with the forest green finish & feels so good in my mits I can’t stop thinking about it.
I bought the Gen. 1 M&P too. You should know the M&P 1 had accuracy issues that SPAWNED the Apex Tactical company which replaced the barrel and fixed the problem. I tried to sell my M&P online but no one would buy it.
I think Glock just needs to come out with a homemade gucci Glock so people shut up. Just a Glock 19 with a good trigger, good sights, and good stippling. That’s it.

Even some non gun people know what the 19X is. 19Xs are frequently sold over 45s because of the color alone. A lot of people don't really care about the features. They just want the color.
I went for for 19x …not for the color, but the for the standard night sights.
To be fair, no other Glock really had any more features than a regular 19X had. And it was the first peanut butter 🅱️lock
@@SamuelRivera-jj3zi So you don't care about red dots?
@@MyCatCarriesAGlock no, I have always shot iron sights and have a light laser combo on the gun for emergency night time occurrences 😂 . I also have a P320 with the optics cut as well.
19x has always struck me as the dumbest Glock. Why, just why a smaller slide/barrel on a full size frame?!? You lose the many benefits of a longer barrel/slide and still have the bad printing and large grip of the full size frame.
Your review is spot on, bur Glocks are boring. So let's get poetic and imagine how Colion Noir would describe it:
"The Glock 19Xmos is a bit like Stacy from college. Sure, she ain't the prettiest or most exciting girl, but better than going home alone again. The reliable same old same old, safer than unprotected behind the train station, but you wouldn't brag aboit it to your buddies. She won't cause much drama or let you down, but she ain't the lady for life either"
I have a glock 19c I recently installed a 19 lb wolff non captive recoil spring and guide rod. Works well with range ammo and stronger carry ammo. They quit making c models what a shame they stay on target a little better than non c models thank you for your videos very well done.
They are still making them , buds gunshop has them for days , I bought one in the summer 😅
What does the c stand for?
@@MR.IceCreamMan93I think he means they don’t make a gen 5
@@greenman4508 “Compensated”, but it's a misnomer, as it's technically ported.
If you are messing with springs on a Glock, you don’t know Jack about guns. The difference between the C and a normal Glock is nothing but ports, you don’t shoot any better.
I'm pretty sure every time Outlaw buys a new Glock he partially does it to flex his shooting skills.
What?
If he wanted to do that he would get a real shooter, sure as hell not a Glock
We need a 226 x5 legion review!
Nowhere near as reliable as a Glock 19 X

As I've said before.
I have carried my G17 since I bought it new in '87.
Dangggggg thats some miles i am sure.
As a owner of a g21 sf and a g 20 gen 3 I have been waiting on this and I can’t stop thinking about it 😂
Dude "its not stabbing you in the junk " referring to a 19 slide vs a 17 but you have a freaking x300 on there that extends to the length of a 34 lol
I know people have been saying it. But I'm going to add my 2€. Mrs. Outlaw has improved her shooting all around so much. It's quite impressive to see. Kudos to you both for all you bring to this community.
"Glock fanboys will buy anything" No truer words have ever been spoken. 😆
Too True
Gun people will buy anything. How many tards want something in 5.7? 10mm?
Na that's sig fan boys
@damonlee3225 both glock and sig fan boys will.buy anything of that brand
Classic is a great word you used to describe Glock. Same as it was when they first came out. They finally caught up to the 2020’s and do what other makers have perfected in the past 10 years.
All that being said, I’ll keep my Glocks! 😂🤷🏽♂️
I used to think if I buy one of these I would get the 45 because I wanted the ability to put a dot on it, but at the same time I really like the 19X, but since this has the dot option I will definitely be choosing one of these if I ever buy one.
You can have any slide cut for your exact optic, which is better than their mos.

They will cry no matter what.
Totally wrong
Sig gave them the guns cheap, plus holsters. They also had a deal going with rifles. Do you not know how business works?
@@HWG-wm8ld You tell him bro 👍
Yep. Easy to carry, but shooting it every week sucks.
I have the original 19x, then the VERY limited release TB and have one of these ordered. Its nice to see they are finally listening and putting out what people want.
I really like your reviews!!
Great job!
I have had glocks for 20+ years and always liked them, but……..I find myself preferring S&W. American made and much more innovative
Much more innovative? They copied a Glock, wow.
Flexing with that mag around the throne of blazer brass 😂
This has become my go to channel before I buy a new pistol.
Ah, yes, the upgrades everyone else had back in 2018 for cheaper.
Im glad they left front serrations off very cool .but i got the og .
thanks , chris,,,,great review,,,,,,love the truth per the honest outlaw,,,,,,i only have 1 glock 17 gen 2 bought in 1989,,,,love it
Mrs. Outlaw was running that 19X like it was her job!!
You should see what she carries, a smart woman.
it IS her job lol
My most trusted gun review guy. Appreciate you, Chris!
They should’ve removed the grip front lip for Gen5 mag compatibility and put forward slide serrations. Heck they just could’ve painted a Glock 45 in that peanut butter FDE for that matter and call it a 19x and you would have all this. 🤷🏻♂️
The lip has a purpose. Press checks are for the insecure.
Good review. I remain unmoved.
I finally just got a glock, they seem to be the best as far as things the aftermarket cannot change (bore access, reliability, and ambi slide release)
I wanted an M&P so bad but the right side slide release doesn't actually release the slide, you can only lock the slide with it.
Always go with your feelings, said some pathetic liberal
I had my eye on one of these. Ended up going with the S&W M&P 9 metal frame version.
I had a feel of the original 19x today. I will be buying one . And then one of these.
Definitely of low iq
I've had a g45 for a few years now, I'm good thanks
People who have undying love for glocks are pretty simple. They opened up a new market and then sat in the back seat to watch everyone else surpase them. Talk about throwing a lead.
Still rather have a Glock over an Sig, but that’s not saying much!
That stings fanboy

I have still never had any issues with any of my P320’s . I guess I’m one of the lucky unicorns.
Great review on the new 19x. Good firearm but nothing new except new from Glock
I haven't yet my buddy does tho, it will randomly throw brass at his face lol.
@@jessesando8582 If you dry fire a P320 with a mag and a snapcap in - the hop goes away . Mine are all very accurate and very reliable.
Same, my p320s haven’t had any issues
My eight years as a 12B I could whole heartily say that if it is good enough for the military does not necessarily means it's good enough for you. The military always pick the lowest bidder even if the better option virtually cost no more than the cheap one
Take sig 326 yeah me boyo !!!!👍👍👍👍😸
It's frankly amazing how much attention every, single little variation to the Glock pistols receive. Compared to something like the PDP or the Echelon, the Glocks really do look like they're 30-40 years behind the times.
The only gun I’ve ever liked from Glock! But they have got to do more or there gonna become irrelevant watch.
Exactly@@HWG-wm8ld
Instead of Glock Saying they have a NEW gun coming out. They should say UPDATE. They've actually haven't released a new gun in years.
Glock is a Toyota Corolla reliable. Thats about it
4Runner and that’s fine with me.
If it's not broken, don't fix it. Marketers love to push new and fancy because old and reliable doesn't make them any money.
Pretty sure that's what everyone said about wheel guns before the 1911, and the 1911 guys said in the when the Glock came out....
Spot on!
Glock back at it again, revolutionizing the market…
45mos is a better option cause you can use gen5 mags...
Dremel goes brr. But I guess the only advantage is the threaded barrel and the sights that are way to tall for a rmr.
Says the rube that films himself shooting
Glock: *gives us their "military trial," MOS pistol*
Also Glock: *STILL WON'T GIVE US THE FUCKING THUMB SAFETY FROM THE TRIAL GUN*
Love the glock platform but hate oem glocks. That why I'd rather build 3rd party and get Shadow Systems . Cheaper and less work than gettibg a shitty stock glock and having to stipple, swap the trigger, get a good rmr optic cut , change the sights excetra
Put the question becomes why not just buy like a Walther PDP or a H&K or a Springfield echelon
Because you can get everything from holsters, mags, sights, spare parts, triggers…and do it all yourself.
Springfield has garbage QC and service.
AMEN.
@@HWG-wm8ld Are Glucks the only one that uses that cheap ass plastic recoil spring guide rod ?
@HWG-wm8ld Okay that's a good argument for Glock in a way. If you want to make a gun truly 100 percent custom and unique. That isn't for me to spend 1200 on a Glock but I agree with thr after market support
Thank God it still has the lanyard loop 😮💨
Hard to believe they still don't have front serrations.
This is how it should’ve been out the box with the first 19X
Doesn't even have front slide serrations 💀

Glock is still riding their "reliability" fame but honestly, seems like MOST big name guns these days are perfectly reliable
@@Lee-fi4vo I didn’t know about those issues, makes sense seeing I could shoot a Glock so much better
