My uncle married a lovely southern woman after his first wife passed. Before they met, while his new wife was still in her previous marriage, she had been making dinner for herself and her at the time husband. She called to him that dinner was ready, and when he didn't answer she yelled out, 'What, are you dead in there?' And he indeed was dead. He had passed away on the couch from a heart attack.
That same situation happened to a lady at one of the posts I do security for years back. He had cancer and she was making him some soup after chemo. She said they were joking one minute, she turned around to fix his bowl and asked if he wanted to eat there or in the living room. When he didn’t respond, she asked “You dead back there?” When she turned around, he was gone. That was how they always joked. Every time one would ask, the other would mock a stabbing or choking move and play dead. I still hang out with her. Around every anniversary of his death she still constantly beats herself up about having said it at all.
The worst thing about food thieves, in addition to stealing food of course, is when they actually have the nerve to get mad at people for not packing a lunch that they specifically like or making it too spicy, as if the person is specifically catering to them.
I think that it's worse if the lunch thieves steal from people who have *legitimate* medical restrictions (heart conditions, celiac disorders, strokes, kidney disease, diabetes, certain allergies, etc.) Then there are the "pepperheads" (what's a Ghost Pepper or two between friends?) If they (the thieves) take the time to just pack something to their liking the night before, their lives would be expanded in more ways than one. Oh, and there are shops they could go to that they can find stuff to eat before going to work/school/whatever.
bro what does that guy think. omg what a friggen ah my coworker packed work and I stle it and ate it how could he. like what is going through the mind here
A guy I worked with took my leftovers (I hade made too much) in the aternoon because he thought it looked good. When I told him he just ate pork he may have threatened to end me, he didn't and he never took my food again.
@Pip I'm an old man and I've never had my lunch stolen. How could anyone let someone do that. In elementary school, I was on the small side and honestly a little soft and spoiled (luckily in middle school I grew and had an awesome uncle who taught me how to fight), but before that 3 times I had bullies who tried to steal my lunch, I got in three fights and got butt kicked in two of them. Still none of them got my lunch.
God i love Treelaw-related content, the sums of money is always so insane, note to future self, never cut down another mans tree without permission. Lunch thief, should demand to get him to pay for the lunch he stolen, he even admitted it.
Tree law is awesome to read but to some extent I cant help but hate it considering yeah, you take a massive amount of money in revenge, but it's almost impossible to fix the damage done without spending a massive amount of time growing a new tree.
On the topic of the "who died?" jokes. I was crying in the Munich U-Bahn (subway train) talking to my mom on the phone in my native language. I wasnt loud, just trying to explain to her a series of unfortunate events culminating in me not realising my U-Bahn pass expired and getting a fine. That was the straw that broke me. Anyway, an old lady sat next to me and petted my shoulder. When I looked up, she gave me a hopeful little smile like "IDK what it is but I am here." Guys, I will never forget that woman. That one gesture of sheer kindness and understanding across language, boarders and ages just... Made me smile back at her.
Karen moves into lovely green space knowing there'll be nature, trees and streams. Also Karen - reroutes streams illegally, removed native plants, cuts down trees, gets mad at nature itself.
Story 4: I like that Grandma is on OP's side. I bet the ex is *severely* regretting being an abusive person because it lead to a happy family portrait *without him* in it. And yeah, add Grandma to rub salt in the would
I doubt that the emotion he feels is regret. People like that don't regret the abuse they inflicted, they're not self aware enough. I bet he thinks he's the good guy of the story and OP was the problem
@@dopaminedrought395 Agreed. That type of person is incapable of self-reflection and so also of figuring out that they might have played a role in the problem (or in fact are the problem). This guy will just move on to his next victim all the while complaining about his terrible exe and how she manipulated his mother into taking her side.
@@ainzooalgown3927 My math is fuzzy but if I bought something for $5,000 have use of it for years sell it for $ 700,000 which is a mutually agreed upon price I would have a difficult time convincing myself I suffered a loss.
@@ZombieSazza Why end it there? Print out a whole stack and tape it to every single of the man's possessions that isn't directly attached to him. Don't just make the point strike home, but humiliate him for all to see until his morals improve. That would be peak petty revenge.
Second story. I have one extremely similar!! My mom passed in May 2020. We spread her ashes in the spot where her and my stepdad camped. That’s her favorite spot. Day after I decided to work, get my mind off it. A man decided to say “You should smile more. You’re prettier when you smile. It’s not that bad!!” This PISSED ME OFF TO NO END!!! I turned and yelled “Sir, never tell a woman to smile. I literally spread my mothers ashes less than 24 hours ago. Tell me again it’s not that bad. So fuck you and have a nice day!!” I left crying after.
My condolences but this is definitely not a gendered issue I've had long term depression most of my life and I've been told many times I should smile its not that bad or you must hate your job just because I'm not all smiles
@@david-kc5hr men say it to woman with a different intention though, when a woman tells you that they're not cat calling you. And the fact it happens more to woman makes it more of a woman's issue like how suicide is more of an issue for men due to men statsitically beong the ones who take their life.
I was taking a sip from my drink when I heard, "OP, I guess you gotta cut his hand off." I choked from my surprised laugh. That deadpan delivery... 😆 Great video, dude!
Petty Revenge with some Tree Law?! This is the best birthday gift ever! LOL *First OP:* I agree with rSlash. If OP considers this "petty" revenge, I'd hate to be on the receiving end of what she deems "pro" revenge. o.O *Second OP:* I should try that the next time someone tells me to smile. I'll tell them, "My pet rock just died." That should work. *Replies to Second OP:* And _that's_ why I mind my own business. *Third OP:* NGL, OP's revenge sandwich sounds good... *Fourth OP:* Shoutout to OP's ex-MIL. Now OP's ex will remember how he mistreated OP during their marriage. Also, shoutout to OP's daughter for setting the revenge in motion.
The food thief story: It’s so odd to me the “pick-and-choose” hypocrisy that some people have when it comes to moral principles, not even just religious ones. This guy wanted OP’s food because his food was halal, yet… he wasn’t fine with *stealing* it when it wasn’t halal? This guy should try out for the Mental Gymnastic Olympics with that sort of logic
It's the audacity of him to dare explain himself for me 😤😤😤😤😤. That reminds a lunch thief who stole OP's & had to be hospitalised for food allergy & poisoning, then try to accuse OP of attempted murder....We live with human being bred differently 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑
also fun fact: its not just pork that we can't eat, its all normal meat! we have rules about how the animal is killed for it to be halal. it didn't matter if it was pork or not he'd (asumming op isn't going out of their way to buy higher priced halal meat) still be breaking the rules!
I was thinking the exact same thing as RSlash about this first story, this had ProRevenge written all over it. I live for these tree law stories, we definitely need more of these, they are precious treasures!
@@michaelmyers5496 I was on a city Project Planning Commission. We reviewed all upcoming projects for compliance with building lass, protection of trees, parking.. Sort of everywhere. Trees were a HOT topic all the time. Where I live, trees are everything. Lots of indigenous trees that need no water except what nature provides. These trees shrug off the severe droughts. No water? No problem! You harm or cut down heritage trees and it's ON. People love to live on cliffs overlooking the river and then CUT DOWN THE TREES. Those trees are holding the land together. In the summer we have extreme heat. They always say removing the trees was an accident. That cut no ice written the city. The fines are astronomical. Up to $50K per tree. Developers started cutting down trees and of course, budgeting for the fines. Easy peasy. Developers who should know better were getting million dollar fines. The city and county shut that scam down pretty quickly. Now developers protect trees like newborns. Of course, trees that are unhealthy or dying can and are removed. Lots of tree stories out there. How about the morons who TOP trees thinking they will survive? Crazy..
You can tell they’re rich because throwing away a quarter of a million dollars just because you hate your neighbor is something only a rich person could do. That’s life-changing money for a lot of people.
That second story reminds me of when I was on the way to take care of my grandmother. My grandfather had passed less than a month ago and I was spending 1-2 days a week with her at the time to help her cope after losing her partner of over 50 years. So while I (back then 18F) was on my way to see her this guy in his mid twenties steps into my way and won’t let me pass. I don’t remember what he was trying to sell, but he literally blocked me and wouldn’t let me pass. After he stopped my 4th or 5th attempt of side stepping him he makes a snide remark : “Oh come on, you can’t be on your way to something *that* important.” I was incredibly conflict averse and shy, but at this point I had tears of frustration in my eyes. So I looked up at him with my teary eyes and said: “My grandfather just passed and I’m on my way to console my grieving grandmother. Is that important enough for you?” He looked like he had seen a ghost or like I had slapped him or something. Seems like I had literally rendered him speechless. Obviously good enough to let me pass and I hope he never did that to anyone ever again.
This just reminds me of that story rSlash covered a while back where someone was trying to get to the hospital as fast as possible because their friend was literally bleeding out in her car and some asshole decided to block them on the highway for as long as possible...
@@Tustin2121 ah, yes. I remember that one. It was horrible but so important for some people to hear/read. Sometimes people are acting certain ways we don’t initially approve of for very reasonable reasons. A bit of compassion can literally save lives.
@@oak_kitten is it weird that I feel violently angry on your behalf? Like, I wish someone had been there to toss that dude to the side so you can get where you were going.
@@TheVampireAzriel while I appreciate the support I would like to think that he learnt his lesson that day and felt really quite guilty afterwards. I’m not sure if someone throwing him around would have had the same effect though.
Oh my god it's been FOREVER since the last tree law video! You make them a LOT more entertaining than if I were reading the story myself! Tree law, pro revenge and redditor updates have GOT to be my favorite content from your channel! I love seeing one of these uploaded the SECOND I wake up!
On the second story, with the smile, had something similar. I get BAD nose bleeds, mostly in winter, when the weather dries out my sinuses even more. Was going into a grocery store with my younger brother, and a guy told me to "Light up another one!" despite me not being a smoker. I felt under my hand the cough had made my nose start to bleed, and some had come out onto my hand, so I looked straight at the guy, showing the blood, and said "I have a disease, it's terminal." My brother, ever the troll, took me by the shoulder as I started to cough more onto my hand, and said "Let's go, forget the asshole" as the man just turned ghost white and froze in place. I don't feel bad about lying, bc I hope it taught him to think before opening his mouth to strangers, and me and my bro got a good laugh out of it inside the store.
I don't get people who feel they can start handing out advice to strangers. My husband was running the other day and he passed an older man who told him he should have long pants on instead of shorts because it was cold. My husband was RUNNING, and he runs hotter than most people, anyway. He said if he wasn't worried about slowing his heart rate he'd have stopped to inform the guy he's been dressing himself for decades and is quite capable of choosing what to wear from his own wardrobe!
The petty part of the Tree Law story, was her losing the 250k just to spite her neighbor by selling it to someone who would put up a Motorcross track near her property.
A muslim here. Halal is not only the stuff you eat and wear but also how you obtain it. So even if OP always brought halal food, the stealing itself would make it haram (not halal). Thanks OP for giving M a lesson😉
Oh wow that's really interesting 😃, I won't pretend to understand any kind of religion or the rules concerning religion because if I'm honest I don't actually believe in any god, but I do respect those who do believe as long as they don't try to push their beliefs on to others, yes of course share your belief after all just like I did now people may learn something and it's always good to learn about other people and their lives, customs, communities, religions cultures etc aslong as they don't insist their way is the only way and everyone should do what they do if that makes sense 😃 so thank you for sharing that information and part of your culture with us I found it interesting 😊
Tree law is one of the reasons why I subscribed to you I love it so much!!! "Okay OP. Guess you gave to cut his hand off." That made me spit out my water
The 4th story. I'm a Muslim, and I was enraged throughout the story until r/slash started the research at the end. Then I was absolutely hysterical with laughter because I knew where it was going. OP, Mark probably agrees with the punishment too, since he's such an exemplary Muslim and all.
I got the call my Mom died a few blocks from my office. I went into shock. Walking in the security guard saw me and asked, “Wow. You ok? You look like someone just died.” I told him my Mom just died. I don’t think he ever asked someone that question again.
Kind of a different "watch what you say" story, a coworker of mine had knee surgery and was supposed to be out for two weeks. She came back after a few days becsuse she said she was bored at home. The second day she wasn't feeling great and decided she'd go back to her previously scheduled time off. As we were leaving I leaned across my car and said "I don't want to see you again until you're better!" The next day she had a stroke when a blood clot got into her brain and she died.
I have a Family Portrait story: My Mom and Step-Father were planning this for at least a month. On the day, we put on our matching white shirt and white shorts, but it was taking a while for some odd reason so I decided to go to my room and play video games, or watch a movie, just entertain myself until everyone was ready to get out the door. A couple of hours later I hear a ruckus at the front door. For all their hours of planning and the two hour trip to and from the beach, they didn't think to coordinate for one minute to make sure everyone was together. For the whole trip, they thought I was in the other car until they got to the beach and THEN they noticed I wasn't there. They took their photos anyway, came back and got mad at me for not being there. Says I to them, "I'm in Elementary School, I didn't want to go in the first place, I was one of the first to get all dressed up just to end it as soon as possible, and when the rest of you weren't ready, I went to my room to wait for you. You were the ones who didn't realize I wasn't there until it was too late." I got grounded for that, but I didn't care, I had all the same games at my dad's and he rewarded me with grilled steak for standing up for myself. Got some good time on Saints Row 2 either way.
Something like the second story happened to me. My sister (who I was close to) passed away and I was distraught. When I came back to work, I asked to be away from the customers because I was still not great with smiling and occasionally would burst into tears but my manager (she was a bad manager) ignored me. So one day I was serving a customer and he says "Smile, it may never happen" I just burst into tears and said my sister died. He stuttered and stammered and my friend pulled me into the back while glaring at him and calmed me down.
Rules for ensuring a peacefull life, that I learned from RSlash. 1- *Never* mess with the IT person. 2- *Always* cover your bases. 2.5 - If anyone asks for anything *in writing* , think twice before agreeing. Heck, take a day off and think about it. 3- *Never* cut down a tree without treeplechecking if it is safe do so. 4- *Never* take food out of a fridge that you don't known the procendece of, nor have permission to.
Holy cow... The picture story... I would become best friends with her to spite him too. Well, mostly because she is awesome, the spite is just a bonus.
10:38 Yeah I know what it's like. One day I saw a co-worker making a really sour face, so I was like "Damn, who shit in your mouth?" He looks at me with disgust, reaches into the back of his pants, and scoops out a handful of crap. As he crams it into his mouth he screams "I did! So help me God, it was me!!" I'm speechless in horror, backpedaling slowly in case whatever the hell was wrong with him was contagious. He slams another handful of brown chowder into his mouth and howls "Why am I doing this?! Why? WHYYYY?!"
9:11 I had a man tell me to “smile more, it could be worse” while I was a at work; I had just learned that one of my closest friends found their mother dead that morning and because she wasn’t a relative, I couldn’t use bereavement. I couldn’t attend her funeral either because it was on a day that I also worked, I was barely holding it together and this random stranger is telling me to smile? I just ignored his remark.
The treelaw payout was good justice, but ultimately part of the background. Deliberately choosing a buyer that would piss her off was the revenge. And a beautiful one at that.
9:35 - It's natural to want to make other people smile, because we are hardwired from birth to be uncomfortable around people showing signs of distress. [insert long ramble about psychology] But there are better ways to go about it than to tell someone "Hey, be happy". Offering to listen, or a hug (never hug without permission!) can make a huge difference, without coming across as judgmental or patronizing.
I used to manage a coffee shop and one of our regulars was pregnant. She was getting pretty close maybe 8 months. She was away for awhile. When she came back one of my employees asked how's the new baby. She breaks down and sits in the middle of the floor. She had lost the baby. She got free coffee for life. Well until I left.
I was in a Church event in 2019, when my sister call me e told me that my uncle passed. He wasn't that close, but still it was my uncle. Wen i started to cry a woman that i had never met before pulled me aside and told me something like: "oooh, you are too young to be crying about a boy, everything will be alright", i was so sad and in shock that i couldnt process at time how bad this interaction was...
So I used to work at a gas station where I’d have to check everyone’s ID no matter the age due to our Covid policy. I’ve always gotten the “I can be your grandmother or your grandfather” comments. Around that time my grandmother had just passed away. So the next time someone said it, I just casually looked up with the most blank face and said “Well my grandmother just died so I doubt it.” I’ve never seen someone’s smile drop so quickly and them stumble over their words apologizing. Like man I’m just trying to do my job.
First Story: U can never go wrong with tree laws. OP really thought that this revenge was petty lmao Second Story: Lmao that is hilarious. I honestly would’ve done the exact same thing to people who do that Third Story: Ugh, food thieves are the worst. M got exactly what he deserved. Also, that HR is absolutely useless Fourth Story: Grandma really being petty for OP lmaoo. Keep the grandma, ditch the husband
Going to HR with a problem can be a gamble. While there are some who do their best, some are Chornic Backstabbing Disorder SOBs who only serve their corporate masters to find ways to make sure you can't sue.
I had the second story happen to me. We legit HAD just turned off life support for my father after he had been in a car accident the day before. It was VALENTINES DAY. We had stopped by a gas station that did custom sandwiches, just because we hadn't eaten at all that day. I was just kind of numb and the dude behind the counter goes "A pretty girl like you should smile more!". I let him have it, just like the OP.
10:14 DUDE THAT HAPPENED TO ME TOOOO!!! I was at a high school rally last may, I was going to play at a talent show and I was excited bc i wanted to mash up some cool songs while shredding (it was an awesome idea in my head). After some sports activity i saw some people mumbling and other girls crying. After that i went for my friends and then tell them “yo there are some girls crying over there”. Then i came up to them and said “hey what’s wrong, you look like someone just died” and then some guy tells me “dude _____ fucking died” “… well shit” Turns out a guy i didn’t knew had some heart attack playing soccer the day prior and the news broke out. I still played at the talent show but i didn’t won but meh.
I got back from a 2 week camping trip and went back to work. I worked at an ISP and was a jack of all trades, helping reps, taking calls, reporting incidents, etc. Someone said something about one of our major internal services being down, so I posted the picture of the dog in the house on fire saying "It's fine". I got a lot of angry messages about it being too soon and how could I joke like that. I was completely confused till it was explained that one of the cities we serviced was currently on fire and most of the town evacuated. I was completely unaware since I'd been away for camping and had no means to hear about this at the time. Needless to say I labeled myself the butthole and apologized. This wasn't the first time something like this had happened too. Previous vacations something major happened. Massive city flooded? I had been on vacation. Underground fire that destroyed infrastructure for another massive city's downtown? Also on vacation. Internal tools completely breaking? Vacation. I was told that I wasn't allowed to go on vacation ever again lol
I love having RSlash videos every morning. Tree law hasn't been here for a bit and I was waiting for more. But damn I didnt expect that amazing woman (I think she was a woman) to be like 300K is petty revenge! Love that for the horrible neighbor.🤣
Whenever someone butts into my life, my go-to response is "You could really use a healthy spoonful of 'mind your own fucking business.'" with a smile on my face. That shuts people up.
I'm glad that Rslash also agrees that the story could be in a higher revenge teir, but I feel like the intended petty revenge was selling the property to someone who would annoy the lady more, the rest was likely ment to be context.
Not my story but a buddy of mine worked at a super market as a courtesy clerk and one day it was hot out side he goes up to his coworker and says “it’s so hot outside makes me want to put a bullet in my brain” (this is in Las Vegas not an abnormal feeling during the summer) the coworker had just gotten back from grief leave….after her husband had committed suicide
One time I was in a shop having a tough time counting my money out and i was getting stressed out about it. Some person behind me says "cant you count or something? whats got you so stressy huh? did they not have enough donuts?" I spun round and screamed at him "My sister was murdered three days ago in london. excuse me for being a bit MOODY!" I dont have a sister. I also dont aprichiate being fat shamed in a public place like that. he shut up said he was sorry and I replied with "Your sorry? Why, WAS IT YOU!?" and lunged at him with a bagguete. Possibly not my finest moment but, it did shut him up so much he left the shop entirley.
Story 2, beautiful response, i work in retail, im autistic and i dont smile much at all, ive had customers tell me to smile more, or cheer up, haven't had one for a while say it, but im waiting Because i wanna say my parents died, or i was just diagnosed with cancer, etc, something serious to make them think maybe i should keep to myself etc
As I learn more about mental health (& deadly with it myself), one thing I hate is like in the 2nd story when a random stranger says "just smile". Dude, you don't know what they're dealing with, so it may not be easy for them to do so.
I was at collage and I was going through depression, I’d tried to end my life multiple times in that period and while I was walking the halls (not sad or anything just my resting face) someone said something like “smile it could be worse” and me being nervous I just put on a huge smile and laughed and when I walked away it instantly went away (my smile) I never realised how shitty it made me feel at the time until I saw this post 😂
Regarding the Lunch Thief story I would've glared him in the eye when he death glared me and say "If my food EVER goes missing again I am changing to an all-pork, all-shellfish diet" Or, given r/slash's comments and if Prorevenge was necessary ask him in a friendly manner if he follows his faith at all times no matter what the book says and when the cocky bastard says yes. Pull out a very dull knife and ask if he preferred his right or left and then quote said phrasing to him.
No pity please. When I was in college I was diagnosed with endstage renal disease and needed dialysis. A fellow student told me that at least it wasn't cancer.
The first story is definitely nuclear revenge. OP executed the revenge in a way where that Karen will feel the Fallout of the revenge for years to come. At minimum it is Prorevenge.
That 3rd story reminds me, on the day of my grandmother's funeral, I was waiting with my husband and brother in a hotel lobby waiting for my mother. The receptionist noticed we were wearing all black and jokingly asked if we were heading to a funeral. I looked at him and said, yes. He paled and went to the back to hide
oooo such a good one. we had tree law, a lunch thief, "petty" revenge, and you capped it with wholesome goodness at the end!?!?! Mwah. chefs kiss my fellow. thank you very much.
One time my friend asked me “How’re you? How’s the family?” And I hesitated. “They all alive?” And her dad was like “Well, that’s awfully insensitive considering her grandfather just died.” I wasn’t mad, but she backtracked VERY quickly.
WHY did noone call the cops when that crazy woman threw a rock at the little kids? A) there were witnesses and B) the police already knew she was insane and had many "no tresspasing-warnings". Having charges pressed against her would just sweeten the revenge even more!
I want OP from the lunch thief story to print out the "cut off your hands if you steal" -thing and put it on the fridge door. Also to keep putting some pork in all their foods.
I"m glad OP acknowledge that they didn't "lose" 250k.... she and her husband got the property dirt cheap, got free money from trees, and are selling for like 1000% profit.... she didn't "lose" jack on that sale lol
I once walked into a party one evening when everyone earlier was just drinking and rolling joints. After I got some beers and returned like 45 min later on my mountain bike---I asked, "Jeeeez guys. You act like we're at a funeral." The one guy just stood there staring at the ground and his friend goes: "Our homey just got shot to death on 4th Street." 😳😳😳😶
Story 2: how about asking "You look worried/ sad/ [whatever], are you alright?" if you see someone who looks distressed, instead of jumping to the conclusion that they should just cheer up? It's still a bit intrusive, but the other person can just say "yeah, I'm fine, thanks" and go about their business.
I would just like to say thank you for for the consistently grate content. I’ve been watching you for years and you make my day better. I recently went through a medical scare and was in the hospital for multiple weeks and your videos keep me happy throughout it and now that I’m healthy and celebrating my 23rd birthday I want to say thank you so much
As good as these stories always are, I don't usually literally laugh out loud. But when you said "ok soooo.... I guess you gotta cut his hand off", I broke. Gooold
Two important social conventions everyone should learn: 1) Never ask a woman if she is pregnant unless you see the baby crowning. And even then it is a 50/50 chance you're the a-hole. 2) If you see someone upset, either say nothing or, if you must comment, ask them if they are "okay/what's wrong?" Either they will tell you they are fine or will indicate whether or not they want to confide in you.
Oh that’s horrible!! That poor woman! I’m happy she found love again with your uncle, though.
Oh
😅
Your only consolation is that there is a good chance no one heard her say that.
The worst thing about food thieves, in addition to stealing food of course, is when they actually have the nerve to get mad at people for not packing a lunch that they specifically like or making it too spicy, as if the person is specifically catering to them.
I would probably get fired for the amount of yelling I would do at a person who stole my lunch. The entire thought infuriates me.
I think that it's worse if the lunch thieves steal from people who have *legitimate* medical restrictions (heart conditions, celiac disorders, strokes, kidney disease, diabetes, certain allergies, etc.) Then there are the "pepperheads" (what's a Ghost Pepper or two between friends?)
If they (the thieves) take the time to just pack something to their liking the night before, their lives would be expanded in more ways than one.
In elementary school, I was on the small side and honestly a little soft and spoiled (luckily in middle school I grew and had an awesome uncle who taught me how to fight), but before that 3 times I had bullies who
tried to steal my lunch, I got in three fights and got butt kicked in two of them. Still none of them got my lunch.

Love love love the name of that spicy pork sandwich!!!
r/treelaw is a thing. It's all crossposts from other law subreddits, but tree-related.
When I looked up, she gave me a hopeful little smile like "IDK what it is but I am here."
Guys, I will never forget that woman. That one gesture of sheer kindness and understanding across language, boarders and ages just... Made me smile back at her.
🥲 that is so sweet!
It's like an angel showing up to give comfort. Hope all is now well...
@@lilibetmargaret oh yeah. I just had a really bad week. Its years in the past.
This is such a sweet story that I teared up a little.
Karen moves into lovely green space knowing there'll be nature, trees and streams.
Also Karen - reroutes streams illegally, removed native plants, cuts down trees, gets mad at nature itself.
And Karen clearly got money bc she was fined and had to pay settlement’s so many times, I was sure she was gonna move out first🫤
Of course she cut down trees. Did you miss the part where it was stated that they only had firewood for HEAT?
@@merlinathrawes746 that don't give her the right to cut down SOMEONE ELSE'S trees.
@@ScooterBond1970 not only that, but if the trees were as big as I imagine, then they'd only need to cut down one, not two dozen.
City scum moves outside the city, the results are as you'd expect
@@dopaminedrought395 They might regret not hiding it better because such people hate the consequences more than their actions.
OP in the first story took the sacrifice to herself just to execute the revenge. I can respect that.
What sacrifice? It was completely a net positive,
@@ainzooalgown3927 My math is fuzzy but if I bought something for $5,000 have use of it for years sell it for $ 700,000 which is a mutually agreed upon price I would have a difficult time convincing myself I suffered a loss.

We need more tree law!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH! LET'S GO!
TREE LAW!

I can’t be the only person who busted out the wheezing laugh at the very calm and matter of fact way R/ said “guess you gotta cut his hand off”
Photocopy that part of the Koran and super glue it to the refrigerator.
@@adriennegormley9358 I was thinking that too. Or at least to the lunch container.
I was thinking to myself listening to that story, “it’s not a very Muslim thing to steal from others”.
@@adriennegormley9358 I was thinking the same thing! In BIG, bold lettering, tape it to the front of the fridge, and even tape one onto your lunchbox

👍👍👍👍 sorry for you're loss maight
1. Sorry for your loss.
2. I'm stealing "Fuck you and have a nice day" for myself but I'll leave a like because I'm not a total asshole.
Sorry for your loss
That was so good.😂
Petty Revenge with some Tree Law?! This is the best birthday gift ever! LOL
*First OP:* I agree with rSlash. If OP considers this "petty" revenge, I'd hate to be on the receiving end of what she deems "pro" revenge. o.O
*Second OP:* I should try that the next time someone tells me to smile.

Happy birthday maight
Someone said to me, “you’d look so much prettier if you smiled.”
At work… I literally yelled back “I AM SMILING.”
I freaked them out.
I think there was a reason everybody else was already bringing non halal food 😂
also fun fact: its not just pork that we can't eat, its all normal meat! we have rules about how the animal is killed for it to be halal. it didn't matter if it was pork or not he'd (asumming op isn't going out of their way to buy higher priced halal meat) still be breaking the rules!
I was thinking the exact same thing as RSlash about this first story, this had ProRevenge written all over it. I live for these tree law stories, we definitely need more of these, they are precious treasures!
But how many times do you hear of people having these issues. That’s why we never hear treelaw stories. They’re just that rare.
@@michaelmyers5496 I do agree, they are hard to come by, that's what makes them treasures~ :D
The part about not wanting to be on the receiving end of pro would be terrifying to see. Petty is that then what scary stuff is pro?
Crazy..
I miss Treelaw videos! Thank you for this, RSlash!
A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one!
RSlash: 'OP, how is $300,000 petty revenge?'
OP: 'I'm sorry, is this some sort of poor person joke I'm too rich to understand?'
j/k

Yeah. I rest wasn’t even revenge it was just the neighbour getting their consequences.
A muslim here. Halal is not only the stuff you eat and wear but also how you obtain it. So even if OP always brought halal food, the stealing itself would make it haram (not halal). Thanks OP for giving M a lesson😉
Oh wow that's really interesting 😃, I won't pretend to understand any kind of religion or the rules concerning religion because if I'm honest I don't actually believe in any god, but
I do respect those who do believe as long as they don't try to push their beliefs on to others, yes of course share your belief after all just like I did now people may learn something and it's always good to learn about other people and their lives, customs, communities, religions cultures etc aslong as they don't insist their way is the only way and everyone should do what they do if that makes sense 😃 so thank you for sharing that information and part of your culture with us I found it interesting 😊
yeah not muslim but all of us who follow one of the 3 Abrahamic faiths have the thing about 'stealing bad'
If you have a lunch theif in the office, they sell lunch boxes with a lock on them, not that expensive but a good investment
I wish I had known about tree law when neighbors cut my tree down to put a driveway 🙃
I am incredibly sorry that they done that 😔
Tree law is one of the reasons why I subscribed to you
I love it so much!!!
"Okay OP. Guess you gave to cut his hand off."
That made me spit out my water
Before I start the video, I just want to say, that amount of money is never “petty.”
The 4th story. I'm a Muslim, and I was enraged throughout the story until r/slash started the research at the end. Then I was absolutely hysterical with laughter because I knew where it was going. OP, Mark probably agrees with the punishment too, since he's such an exemplary Muslim and all.
>Sees Tree Law mentioned in the thumbnail and title, albeit indirectly.
Like Count Dooku before me, I've been looking forward to this!
I friggin LOVE tree law. Like "hehe imma cut your tree" to "wait why am I being fined $500,000??"
One day I saw a co-worker making a really sour face, so I was like "Damn, who shit in your mouth?"
He looks at me with disgust, reaches into the back of his pants, and scoops out a handful of crap. As he crams it into his mouth he screams "I did! So help me God, it was me!!"
I'm speechless in horror, backpedaling slowly in case whatever the hell was wrong with him was contagious.
Thank you! I really enjoy these Tree Law stories, they are so good! I've missed them but the wait was worth it!
I've never clicked so fast! Tree law stories are my absolute FAVORITE stories that you tell! Yeeeeeees! So excited to listen to this one.
I'm literally SHAKING! And foaming from my mouth~ AHHHhh!
2nd story.... I've done the same damn thing when people used to tell me "smile its not that bad" or similar....I love the look on their face 😁
Just look at them right in their eyes and say no and watch them squirm and back track it's hilarious
OP really thought that this revenge was petty lmao
Second Story: Lmao that is hilarious. I honestly would’ve done the exact same thing to people who do that
Third Story: Ugh, food thieves are the worst. M got exactly what he deserved. Also, that HR is absolutely useless
Fourth Story: Grandma really being petty for OP lmaoo. Keep the grandma, ditch the husband
Going to HR with a problem can be a gamble. While there are some who do their best, some are Chornic Backstabbing Disorder SOBs who only serve their corporate masters to find ways to make sure you can't sue.
"OP, I guess you gotta cut his hand off."
You win the internet today my guy.
That last story wasn't OP's petty revenge. It was solidly Grandma's. Granny is savage!
"But OP is the only one who brings in clean food." "Sorry, bro, off with your hands."
HR letting a serial, self-admitted thief off with a warning… how demoralizing for the workplace.
Love the smell of tree law in the morning!
Then i came up to them and said “hey what’s wrong, you look like someone just died” and then some guy tells me “dude _____ fucking died”
“… well shit”
Turns out a guy i didn’t knew had some heart attack playing soccer the day prior and the news broke out.
I still played at the talent show but i didn’t won but meh.
Yay for the return of Treelaw! Lemme get some popcorn!
It really is our guilty pleasure..
"The Squealing Supreme" sounds damn delicious, I wish I worked there so I could ask OP to make those for me every once in a while
Nothing like a tree law story to start my day! Delicious
Some person behind me says "cant you count or something? whats got you so stressy huh? did they not have enough donuts?" I spun round and screamed at him "My sister was murdered three days ago in london. excuse me for being a bit MOODY!"
I dont have a sister.
Regarding the Lunch Thief story I would've glared him in the eye when he death glared me and say "If my food EVER goes missing again I am changing to an all-pork, all-shellfish diet"
Or, given r/slash's comments and if Prorevenge was necessary ask him in a friendly manner if he follows his faith at all times no matter what the book says and when the cocky bastard says yes. Pull out a very dull knife and ask if he preferred his right or left and then quote said phrasing to him.
I'm gonna remember that when someone tells me to smile. **laughs maniacally and rubs hands**
I miss treelaw, but this will do
No pity please.
I would grade it as pro revenge because no laws were broken and Karen deserved everything that happened.
Only thing better than starting the day with rslash is starting the day with rslash tree law!!
I'd ask the mother-in-law to try to be like a spy to try and get as much dirt on my ex as possible to get my kids back.
Good morning everyone
11pm here 😳
That 3rd story reminds me, on the day of my grandmother's funeral, I was waiting with my husband and brother in a hotel lobby waiting for my mother. The receptionist noticed we were wearing all black and jokingly asked if we were heading to a funeral. I looked at him and said, yes. He paled and went to the back to hide
Hello
I had food in my mouth when rslash said, "op, I ques you have to cut his hand off" LMFAO
The smile story actually killed me. Thats the best response. Why the hell smile for a random ass stranger on the street. Im stealing that XD
Tree Law: this is arguably one of my favourite stories on your channel. Thank you for sharing this one. Haha. Loved it for multiple reasons.
This is why I'm going to make sure I have a few trees in my garden just so I could have a story like this if they were cut down
oooo such a good one. we had tree law, a lunch thief, "petty" revenge, and you capped it with wholesome goodness at the end!?!?! Mwah. chefs kiss my fellow. thank you very much.
One time my friend asked me “How’re you? How’s the family?” And I hesitated. “They all alive?” And her dad was like “Well, that’s awfully insensitive considering her grandfather just died.” I wasn’t mad, but she backtracked VERY quickly.
"Firewood is our only source of heat"
This justifies property destruction and theft, does it?
WHY did noone call the cops when that crazy woman threw a rock at the little kids? A) there were witnesses and B) the police already knew she was insane and had many "no tresspasing-warnings". Having charges pressed against her would just sweeten the revenge even more!
How did the sandwich thief know that the chicken was halal though?
Someone isn’t as observant of their customs as they say they are …
I want OP from the lunch thief story to print out the "cut off your hands if you steal" -thing and put it on the fridge door. Also to keep putting some pork in all their foods.
I"m glad OP acknowledge that they didn't "lose" 250k.... she and her husband got the property dirt cheap, got free money from trees, and are selling for like 1000% profit.... she didn't "lose" jack on that sale lol
as an arborist, I get an extra special joy seeing the trees getting some revenge on stupid people
Honestly the mom in the first story is awesome for helping her son make a good financial decision
I once walked into a party one evening when everyone earlier was just drinking and rolling joints.
After I got some beers and returned like 45 min later on my mountain bike---I asked, "Jeeeez guys. You act like we're at a funeral."
The one guy just stood there staring at the ground and his friend goes: "Our homey just got shot to death on 4th Street."
😳😳😳😶
I want you to end every tree law story with you saying "Treelaw!" Like a battlecry.
Never been moved to call out a fake story before, but that third story. The lunch thief, so fake, lol. On so many levels, lol.
I so agree with you. I hate hearing it cause it's so obvious, 😂.
Some people need to learn the hard way that when people are looking glum the response isn't "lol who died" but "are you ok?"
Ok, the way rSlash just said like “well, guess you gotta cut his hand off” just threw my sides to the stratosphere. 😂😂
I would just like to say thank you for for the consistently grate content. I’ve been watching you for years and you make my day better. I recently went through a medical scare and was in the hospital for multiple weeks and your videos keep me happy throughout it and now that I’m healthy and celebrating my 23rd birthday I want to say thank you so much
Everyone’s talking up Tree Law, meanwhile Water Law’s standing over here wondering when they’re gonna get acknowledged.
As good as these stories always are, I don't usually literally laugh out loud. But when you said "ok soooo.... I guess you gotta cut his hand off", I broke. Gooold
Two important social conventions everyone should learn:
1) Never ask a woman if she is pregnant unless you see the baby crowning. And even then it is a 50/50 chance you're the a-hole.
2) If you see someone upset, either say nothing or, if you must comment, ask them if they are "okay/what's wrong?" Either they will tell you they are fine or will indicate whether or not they want to confide in you.
