I joined the book club a couple years ago when my dad was in hospice - so I could work while I was sitting with him. You are such a good teacher and bring so much kindness and humor into your work. I absolutely love it. Thank you.

Loved learning more about you Ali! We have some things in common. I also have one child…a daughter who was born when I was 30. She was born in 89. Sounds like your daughter was born about 10 years later. Scrapbooking is where it all began, but I started before the scrapbooking craze began. But I did really take it to heart when I was introduced to Creative Memories in about 96. That led to my love of collage, mixed media, and handmade books. Love your classes!

Thank you for this wonderful video. I feel like I got to know both Ali and Amber a little more. I just got involved for the recent challenge last week. I finished a little late due to family events, so I completed the fancy spine Sunday morning, 3/17 and also due to family events, I missed the last 2 zoom calls! However, I did join the Handmade Book Club right after I finished the challenge! I am looking forward many more times together learning lots of book making things. I wish I could go to the Special workshop in Willamstown at Snow Farm.. I live in southern Berkshire county, in Stockbridge. However, I am unable to be away from home that long! I will see you soon on youtube, or the club!
Ali & Amber love your new haircuts 👌. I’ve now been in the handmade book club since the second challenge, after following your TH-cam vintage page designs. After a heart problem that meant i had to stop teaching and working my sculpture, i was at a loss and you and your community gave me purpose and slowly brought me out of my shell! I love that you are so natural, no pretenses ,you often say things that I’m thinking , and the Facebook group, filled with people who are generous and kind. Because of you all I’m not alone! Thank you thank you 🙏 ❤💓💓
It's always nice to learn more about you, Ali, this was great! Being a member of the Hand Made Book Club has made my creative life so much richer. I can't even begin to convey the joy I feel using journals I've made with my own hands. Learning to bind books has been something I've been curious about most of my life, and to finally find a community that's led by you and your team was a dream come true. I am grateful you were able to overcome your fears and create such a wonderful community of creatives. Well done, you.

You may be my creative twin. Same with Somerset. I keep my favorite copies. I too struggled with scrapbooking, but I only made two layouts (horrible). I’d love to learn with good instruction on the Coptic stitch method. I am a deep lefty so it is challenging. Thanks for this fun interview video. 😊
