I love seeing what you make, thank you, Ali! The palooza journal you showed is one of my favorites that you made. I love your color choices and that you designed the paper as well. I am constantly trying to use more of what I have also. The struggle not to buy new stuff is real! 😄My daughter and I collect small books, so that's a great thing to help use up the smaller scraps that I can't seem to bring myself to throw away. As a matter of fact, I just posted one on the club site. I'm so grateful to be a part of The Handmade Book Club!

Great video. We all have our favorites but all the ones you showed could become my favorites too. I love the cover with the torn strips. I have way too much paper and way too much fabric so I love ideas like that. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a wonderful holiday and look forward to 2024 with the book club.

Hello! I just discovered your channel this day before Christmas Eve 2023, and I am thrilled. I am new to all things paper craft and journals, so I hope to learn from you this new year. Love your books. I can't decide which one I love the best. ❤ Blessings from SC.

Loved watching your video! I've seen journals that are similar to your Travellers or Junk Journal but have multiple signatures that have space between to glue your own pages. The signatures are then glued into a wide spine cover. What is this style called and do you have a tutorial for it? Appreciate your help!😁

How did you weave the binding with the 12 pamphlet books ?

I used a large tapestry needle and woven ribbon and fabric through the long pamphlet stitches. Then tucked in the ends.

Beautiful 2024 journal. Was your 2023 journal awkward to write in? Looks like it might be.

HI ALI - PLEASE DELETE IF YOU THINK THIS IS COMMON KNOWLEDGE OR OUT OF PLACE. Just a few words about supporting Amazon. I love saving money by buying from companies (not corporations) like Dick Blick and other low-cost sellers. But at Amazon the human cost is just too high. When it arrived on the world stage, Amazon put out of business thousands of family owned businesses, which in turn damaged families and communities. To meet the two-day shipping deadline Prime members expect, Amazon pressures warehouse employees to work faster than is safe, then doesn’t give them enough time off to heal properly when they’re injured. And speaking of injuries, the megacorporation’s enormous fleets of trucks and millions of tons of plastic packaging used annually have contributed significantly to the climate crisis. I learned those things from about two hour’s worth of reading and watching a couple of documentaries. There’s much more, all worth thinking about.
