Kinda of topic, but I tried bench press with a Cambered bar and it was pretty awesome. It acted like an earthquake bar with the weight swinging. Great info as usual! Love your videos!

I'm 6'3 and did ssb good mornings once for 3x10 with 70kg which felt easy as hell but my hamstrings and mid-upper back didn't stop hurting for a week. Absolutely brutal.

James Finn i found this with gms aswell. I dont find them super heavy at the gym but 1-2 hours after my workout my hammies are fried and i can barely get up my couch

I _always_ do my SSB GMs off pins in the rack. The last thing I want is my wife or kids coming into the garage and discovering dad pinned to the floor via his neck if things go sideways..

I like to program EMOM triples with an ssb good morning.
People do not like me to write programs for them.

Watched the video to help me decide whether or not to sell my Titan Chambered bar.

Thanks for the information, unfortunately my Gym doesn’t have such bars.

Do you think it's worth it to buy a speciality bar like either mentioned here for a home gym purely to do good mornings?

      Yes

They're both easier on your shoulders. That's the main reason I got my ssb. Of course being able to do good mornings, Hatfield squats, Hatfield lunges etc were all a bonus

You absolutely do not need either to do good mornings unless you have trouble with a low bar placement. I've never had an issue doing straight bar good mornings with a low bar placement and never had an issue with the bar sliding. Definitely an issue though if you can only do high bar.
That said, if you're looking for more upper back work and more convenience, SSB is great and I use it all the time. If I'm looking to target my hips more I just do a super low bar straight bar good morning. I'm sure the cambered bar is great but it doesn't seem worth the money imo.

@@CigEconomyhow do you deal with the bar sliding? I do low bar and it still slides

Can you use the SSB backwards to be more similar to chambered bar in weight/load placement?

I have been using my SSB backwards and didn’t realize. Totally recommend it.

I don't get it. If you use it backwards would the weight be even further out in front of your body?

Yes. In order to get the weight behind you, you would have to put the SSB in the front rack position, so it would be impossible to do good mornings with it.
