@@GlucksGym Welcome! I'm the first to criticize your use of innuendos (I think they lower the quality and limit the audience), but this (and your last SSB vid) are so overwhelmingly well researched and detailed that's it's irrelevant. I started watching GGR in 2015 when I started my garage gym with DIY squat buckets. Since then I ended up buying/selling 3 different swiss bars until I found one I liked because we had nothing like these comprehensive video comparisons. This would have saved me hundreds of dollars if I had it when I was building. There are prominent reviewers in much better positions to make content like this, but they don't.
I was able to get the Arch Nemesis bar for ~$90 shipped from Amazon. It was on sale for like $150 and then I used some credit card points to further lower the price. I actually like that it's a little lighter as it makes moving it around a tight garage gym much easier and slapping tens on each side brings it to ~45lbs pretty easily. It's absolutely been worth it at that price and I've been very happy with how it works.
Gluck always does a nice job with reviews. I can appreciate it. The sad thing for most of us at home lifters a lot of the equipment we go with is solely based on price. Which is why Titan is the choice. Now there are times I would splurge but gotta save for those items. Good Job Gluck keep it going.
Thanks for the top view of them next to each other. Really helped change opinion 4 times during the vid. Anything over $350 is out, it doesn't cost near that to make a bar. REP pulled ahead as front running price & quality.
I really enjoy Gluck's anxious sense of desperation in this video. He's like the Gil from the Simpons of the TH-cam exercise equipment reivew space. Thumbs up!
I ended up with the Kabuki Kadalac Bar, and I absolutely love it. I now use it almost exclusively for all pressing movements I used to use a straight bar for and my shoulders are happier for it
@@chuckyfox9284 actually yes. It's narrow enough that it works, and it's balanced well so you can move your hands close to the side facing you. I've pressed regularly both seated and standing with it. Haven't touched my straight bar in months
Great review Gluck! I felt like I was watching my review only with funnier jokes and a much narration! We are on the same page with nearly every bar. Never thought accessory bar videos would be the most requested?!
Great content as always. I'm a big Bells of Steel fan and have struggled with the 'do I need one of these' question. Infrequent use would drive me towards BOS in spite of my preference bias.
Thank you for making this video. I had purchased an American Barbell Double Angle T Grip bar a few years ago and didn't realize how unstable the flat swiss bars are, so I rarely use it. I was passing through Indy yesterday so I stopped by Bell's and was able to snag an Arch Nemesis for $150. Looking forward to trying the cambered style bar.
@MelloHubb I like the stability of the camber, neutral grip, and increase in achievable depth. I wish the knurl was more aggressive or that the powder coating was more grippy. I find that my grip can slip/rotate around the neutral grip at inopportune times. The American Barbell T Grip has much deeper knurling and I don't have problems with slipping grip, but it is less stable as mentioned. I'm not sure if Rep's cambered bench bar has a much better knurl, I'd like to try it and see. It would be nice to see something more affordable than Rogue's MG-4CN that has both the cambered neutral grip and deep knurling. The Bell's bar end plugs aren't holding up very well either and I may just remove them. With the current availability of quality power bars with good knurling, it's hard not to hold specialty bars to the same standard.
I have the EliteFTS bar and I feel the same way you feel about it. The narrow grips are too narrow, welds are good enough but not fantastic, the handles could use knurling or a better powder coating, and the endcaps suck. It definitely needs an updated version in the current market. That said, I like the grip placement on the rest of the bar and the thiccness of the handles
Man, you put a lot of effort into this. Great work. I may have said this on a different video, but I don't consider the Titan version a straight copy of the Elite FTS version. The knurling and neutral grips are enough (subjectively) value-added changes to be objectively considered different. Now I am no Titan apologist, and will never ever forgive them for their SSB straight-jack move, but like to be fair when it comes to lambasting hate upon others.
It comes down to timing as well. One came first and the other was based on it. They do (or did) look a little more different, they're technically on version 3 now I believe. It may not be a Rogue TB-2 to Titan Hex trap bar level of similarity but looking at the history of the company it's very easy to see what was done. I'm also not particularly harsh on them in this video, the Elite bar is just better overall. Elite does have a neutral grip version as well though so I suppose one could argue it's a combination of the two though I can't remember if that came out when this one did, it's been awhile.
Dude I literally was looking for a video like this all week. I'm in the market for one and this is just what I needed. I wish more manufacturers would sell on Amazon tho. I got a hefty gift card that I wanna use 😂
@@GlucksGym if you had to choose between the two which would you go with? I am 5'6 and have a reoccurring wrist problem that doesn't bother me too much when I lift with straps. I'm looking to just add more volume/variety and hit different parts of my chest that I can't with a standard barbell.
Always enjoy your videos! FYI: Keeping your head on your shoulders….The Rep Sandwich J Cups hold the Rep Swiss bar perfectly and it never swivels down. No decapitations
Great review once again! I have the latest Kabuki bar and really like it. The balance and feel are great. If I'm being extremely nit-picky with the buki bar, there is a "flat" section on a few of the handles, but it took me weeks before I even noticed. I haven't used the Rogue MG one, but it does look slightly "nicer". That said I don't like picking handle widths. While handle position flexibility would be an advantage to some I know I would spend way too much trying to dial in the handle spacing. I would also find plate math incredibly annoying. Also, I already own a Rogue TB-1 and I like how the knurling on the buki somewhat matches. Finally, I don't find the buki bar to difficult to work with in my rep rack.
I bought the Rep one when it first came out and I just didn’t love it. Not sure if it was just the placement of the handles or I just like benching with a straight bar more. Would probably go with Rogue if I had to do it again but I can’t drop that kinda money on that 😂. Thankfully was able to resale it pretty quick on Facebook!
No surprises with the ranking of bars, but well worth the watch for your comparisons on weight, shipping, cost, and more. They're all better than vintage camber bars lol. My picks are either BoS or Roguki.
In some defense of the EliteFTS bar, the HG 2.0 collars work just fine on it. I use the standard ones on this and my SSB yoke. Also Dave has said that the lack of knurl is bc of the use of chalk and was filling in the knurl.
I believe he also said the lack of knurling helps so you can easily adjust your grip but my barbells all have knurling and people use chalk on those so I personally don't really agree with the thought. I've put a bunch of collars on it because apparently I have too much time on my hands and they didn't really work (besides my axle) so most people would still need specialized collars. Still a great bar though and on sale it's a killer deal.
Wow, that was a long one! (ugh, I'm adopting some of your provocative language...) I like the idea of the MG-4CN,adjusting the handles to my own preferences, but maaaan, that price... Good review!
@@GlucksGym Ha... You were just WAITING to use that comment... Also forget to mention, I appreciate a good spreadsheet! I always make them for any purchase comparisons when there isn't an obvious winner on the surface.
Gluck, I recently made a home gym out of my storage building and I need to store my bars. The bldg has sheetrock and aluminum studs, not wood studs. I just fixed the wall control the way U showed on your video. I made sure to miss the aluminum studs as the drill bits (ones I was told to use) would keep getting stuck in the aluminum studs, so it is attached to the sheetrock and is holding fine. Probably 35- 40 lbs. on that wall control. I need to know if the sheetrock would hold a barbell gun rack. I was going to put a 6 holder gun rack but I think that is too much for the sheetrock to hold so now I want to go with two separate 3 holder racks. Last resort is to store them vertically as I think horizontally looks a lot sharper and I have the perfect space on the wall and also storing vertically takes up floor space as I dont have much to waste. Do U think the sheetrock will hold a 3 holder rack for three 45 lb. bars, please any suggestions U have is welcomed? Thnkx man
Great review. FYI Titan said they reduced width of the V2 by 80MM... nothing that makes a difference and still wayyy too wide but that's what they said in response to my question.I wish BOS made the grips better textured b/c it was too slippery. If BOS would do that, I think for the value, that would be the winner for sure!
Interesting. Unfortunately this was filmed and edited before they officially come out publicly with the new version. All they had done is updated the listing and even that was half done. It had old specs and pics mixed with new. That is good to know though, I'll update the spreadsheet!
Old video (ish) but having used the Rep swiss cambered bar for about a year, it feels like the best combo of price, quality, usefulness. Rep is killing the game these days.
Do the rotating sleeves on the Rogue make it feel more 'unstable' when pressing? I wonder how useful that feature actually is. I have Titan's cambered bar and it feels quite stable, surprisingly. Im considering upgrading to the Rogue, mostly because the customizable handle spacing seems like a big seller for me.
I have the arch nemesis bar. Its more hyped up then i expected. It works, but not impressed with it. I also have the yes for all multigrip (not the cambered version) at $84 and free shipping i can accept its flaws and its ok too, i just doubt a hollow bar can hold more than a hundred pounds so i don't try going heavy with it. Eventually i want to get the titan angled multi grip bar (flat not cambered).
I still think cambered bars are a niche product and refuse to pay high dollar for any of them coming from a Rogue fanboy. That being said, I went with Elitefts because I got it in sale for ~$220ish shipped and because Dave Tate > Ti-Tan.
As usual, I’m as undecided after the video as I was before. I might grab Titan’s ( the smaller , lighter V3) as there are 2 positions that take advantage of camber versus Rep’s 1 positions. But then I like Rep’s quality plus compatibility with standard collars.
I've found that knurling on a camber bar is mostly unneeded or at the very best a nice to have. I use my Cadillac bar weekly and never found my grip compromised by the textured powdercoat they use
I got the Titan about a month ago so I'm going to stick with it because I believe pushing weight is just pushing weight. Actually I like it but I am irritated that my collars don't fit. No one should make a bar where standard colors for Olympics bars don't fit.
Hahaha yep. 28mm. Wow how did I miss that mess up on the Arch Nemesis. Lol yes technically I said that backwards. Thanks for the fix on the typo on the spreadsheet!
My favorite is between the Rogue MG-4C and the REP Bar but since REP has come along so much with it's quality I cannot justify within myself to pay Rogue's inflated prices so honestly I will buy the REP Bar when I finally decide to pull the trigger on a cambered bar. BTW, I know how much U love benches so I wanted to mention that I bought the AB 3000 a month or so ago and yesterday I saw from your channel that REP just came out with the upgraded version. I have the worst luck. Oh well, keep smiling huh
Isn't that always how it works? 😂 It's definitely hard to justify the prices of those higher end bars. Especially for something that you're not going to be using every workout.
@@GlucksGym im actively purchasing specialty bars to replace the straight barbell. I use the marrs bar for squats. I have the rep open deadlift bar for deadlifts but its too wide so im still using the straight bar for deadlifts. I just ordered the angled t-bar from American barbell last week for overhead presses.
Hey Gluck! I watched this review multiple times and I eventually went with Fringe Sport's cambered swiss bar. That one isn't on your list. It's basically a rip-off of the Kabuki bar, but I would love to see you review that one sometime too.
Hey. Yeah it wasn't in the lineup for a few reasons. First, it didn't exist yet when I made this 😂 but I also haven't reviewed it since because I tend to avoid products that are blatant ripoffs and the Kabuki bar has been copied a lot. Bells bar definitely took a lot of inspiration from Kabuki (many of these have) but I felt they tried to differentiate enough that it warranted some time. Hope you end up liking it but I don't think we'll be covering it.
Great video! Looked at the spreadsheet but still not sure about something. How does the grip width of the widest pair of handles on the Kadillac bar compare with the widest possible placement of the *angled* handles on the Rogue? It looks like the 26” width would only apply for straight handles.
Which bar is best for bicep curls? My wrist and arms are hurting and I already have an ez curl. Should I just get a super ez curl or upgrade to one of the bars you reviewed. I do wear wrist wraps for bench and curl and overhead press.
I would'nt really recommend a cambered bar for curls. The camber offset will add some torque to your wrists because the weight and bar aren't in line. If dumbbell curls work fine for you I'd try a different angled EZ curl. You could try a flat multi grip bar but I don't love those for curls.
I feel like you really missed the point of cambered bars in this video. a really big part is which ones will give you a deeper stretch. the ones the maintain chest to grip alignment while dropping the alignment of the loading [like in that open trap bar press] only make it less stable of a lift not more stable.
I have both the elitefts and the rep bar. I am yet to put the sleeves on the rep bar because I like the feel of the elitefts cambered bar so much I use the rep frame on my cable machine. Personally the kabuki and rogue bars are over priced.
Which is your favorite and why?
Due to cost and quality... I'd go with REP's bar.
I have the kabuki and have only tried that so………Kabuki.
I’m loving my REP bar, High quality for a decent price, another great review, you’re on a roll

Minor notes I caught:
14:29 - 28* mm handles
18:47 - narrowest wide grip*
Spreadsheet: EFS bar is 6" between frame
Hahaha yep. 28mm. Wow how did I miss that mess up on the Arch Nemesis.
Lol yes technically I said that backwards.
Thanks for the fix on the typo on the spreadsheet!
@@GlucksGym is that where you said it had a 20mm grip? I was thinking that would be a bit uncomfortable.
Yes haha... And I didn't catch it to edit the mistake. I wonder if I can now
My favorite is between the Rogue MG-4C and the REP Bar but since REP has come along so much with it's quality I cannot justify within myself to pay Rogue's inflated prices so honestly I will buy the REP Bar when I finally decide to pull the trigger on a cambered bar.
Awesome video!
Thanks!!!
I only use the rep camber Swiss bar for bench press - . I have a permanent left should impingement, that bone is sticking out and not going away.
That's all I use these bars for really. Pressing movements but 97% of it is bench, incline bench, and overhead press.
I have 4 of these and still rarely use them 🤡
That's the problem. You need at least 5 to really appreciate and utilize them.
15:50
This is why we are here
I'm glad I stopped that one 😂
I just can't get behind any bar that doesn't have rotating collars, it's a major essential feature
LOLOL My CT accent. YOU must in the Cow Land as i live on the beach.. GREAT REVIEW !!
I grew up in cow land 😂
Thank you for making a spreadsheet. Not the hero we deserve...
Hahaha... I spent too much time on that thing
I got the Kabuki for the same reason I got the eleiko open trap bar - I wanted at least bar from them. 😅
I love your spreadsheet (honest)
Haha thanks. Hopefully it helps people
look at the difference in the welds at 13:15
This slaps now that that MG4CN is $225
Now even cheaper
Great video! Looked at the spreadsheet but still not sure about something. How does the grip width of the widest pair of handles on the Kadillac bar compare with the widest possible placement of the *angled* handles on the Rogue? It looks like the 26” width would only apply for straight handles.
These are both my opinions but the widest handles on the Kadi are a bit too wide but Rogue's are a bit too narrow.
Oh fuck, that spreadsheet!
Can you use these bars on a 30° incline bench or would the extra width get in the way of the face?
Ty!
Good job!!
Got a feeling the REP bar gonna score high
What size washer did you use for the MG4CN?
I'm still an ELITEFTS fanboy.....does this make me an influencer?
Yes it does! Welcome to endless work and getting bullied online!
Sounds like the Bells of Steel is by far the best value
Have you tried to incline press with a cambered bar ?
Do these bars wobble when you bench with them, in use not sitting on the j hooks.
Gluck:sorry if im too hard on these bars... that's what she said 😂
Sometimes I have to let jokes slip through 😂
I feel like you really missed the point of cambered bars in this video. a really big part is which ones will give you a deeper stretch. the ones the maintain chest to grip alignment while dropping the alignment of the loading [like in that open trap bar press] only make it less stable of a lift not more stable.
What about fitek cambered bar?
Would you prefer the short sleeves or long sleeves on the Rogue MG-4CN? Debating on which one would be better.
Short. It's heavy and a pain to move with the longer ones and plenty loadable even with the short.
@@GlucksGym Thanks for the input!
I have both the elitefts and the rep bar. I am yet to put the sleeves on the rep bar because I like the feel of the elitefts cambered bar so much I use the rep frame on my cable machine. Personally the kabuki and rogue bars are over priced.
Yep agreed, they're too much money. The most expensive Rogue variation is $910... That's an expensive cable attachment though 😂
I don’t know how you knew that I was in the market for a bench press bar 😂.
I'm good at helping people spend money 😂
Hi. Can a cambered bar be used to do incline presses?
You can do inline and overhead(it is kind of similar to a log press)
Drill out new holes on the rogue MG Gluck. There's also a joke there somewhere...
If it didn't cost me $700 I would 😂
