    I said it once imma say it again. Elite FTS is the BEST gym i’ve EVER seen! And i come from Southern California, i use to be a frequent visitor of Muscle Beach in the late 90’s and Golds Gym Venice and Hollywood. Now that im 42, im starting to build my home gym and started working out religiously again. I really like what i see on the Elite FTS website, so i’ll be a customer Sooon! Very awesome video, very informative and the owner is awesome 👏🏻 “Hats off to you”... Was that Victoria Lissack in the back? I would love to see her in more video’s 👍🏼👍🏼 Watched & Liked 👍🏼👍🏼

    The little 24 hour gyms don't have the really cool stuff. But I have to work with what I got.
    I love the way that safety bar is. Its harder and harder to get my Left arm back to grab the bar. Maybe from what i did to a rotator.
    Maybe cause my brain doesn't know my body's 60. I like being old and still lifting more then i should

    John, i know this is old, but Ive never used a safety squat bar before. We just got one in the gym and I wanted to start using it. So this was really helpful to understand its purpose.

    I don't comment very often, but I always enjoy your vids. I'm not a massive squatter unfortunately, as only do hack, leg press and Romanian deadlift. But still very interesting to learn something new.

    I have a question:
    So some research has shown that you can consume around 24g of protein per meal. In your video on elitefts, you mentioned towards the end that a pre-workout meal would consist of a whey protein shake (30 or 40g), which I do. My question would be (assuming this research is solid) does the “extra” protein just stick around for when it’s needed or does it get stored as something unwanted? Or if you don’t believe in this, then what would you suggest?

    • @harrison1496
      @harrison1496 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      From what i understand, the extra protein isn't used for muscle protein synthesis. Instead, it's just extra calories.

    • @jpp500
      @jpp500 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a myth. There's not a "limit". 30-40g or even higher than that is good amount per meal.

    • @Jay-bo1gs
      @Jay-bo1gs 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's probably a myth for the 8-10g an hour theory because they didn't account for situations where your digestion is slower (like huge meals with lots of fats and carbs as well). I could be wrong, but I think their tests were using only protein powders and water on an empty stomach. I think the studies also only tested subjects for their uptake after training a single body part. Even if you ingest extra and it doesn't go to your chest on chest isolation day, it goes to repair other organs etc. There is a good video by Jerry Brainum somewhere on youtube about it.

    • @mnikhk
      @mnikhk 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a myth I believe it depends on your metabolism,few genetic factors and your size for example Ray Williams raw squat world record holder shw requires minimum 3 scoops of preworkout and 2 scoops is kind of upper limit for many people.So yeah for an avg person maybe 24-30gms is a limit but if you've been training for sometime you can try more.

    • @ThisBeFadez
      @ThisBeFadez 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate all the responses. From what i’ve read what you guys are saying is the main thing that i’m finding. The studies were specific and didn’t account for many types of people

    Interesting, I've never trained with someone in real life that couldn't safety squat almost as much or more than their traditional squat. Maybe it's the civilian weights were using, ha
