Bearing replacement, drive assembly Cowen 60 extractor

It was a good decision to swap out these bearing while the extractors were already partly disassembled.

Cowen has definitely made improvements on the drive , I have the older style with a few more belts and a pulley system that uses a copper bushing . Really like the grease nipple extension

My original one is like that. A real pain to swap out the belt

Types of bearings determine the longevity. Ball, cylindrical, conical,. The thrust point will be the determining factor.
