You should put a layer of bitumic paper between the runners and the sacrifical (1x6) wood. Prevent moisture from soaking into the runners (or put a caaot of liquid foil). Also why not dip the whole pallet in paraffine or linsseed. Both are no toxic problem but extend your wood life quite a lot. Apart from that nice pallets
Nice pallets. You ended the video without showing the old ones. I'm working on the design for a two way pallet with a screened bottom board. I can't shake the hobbyist in me on a few things!
nice pallet. I use some 3 inch cabinet screws that have a head the size of a quarter that I use on top of the rims to pull it all together. it is so important that they stack, I have some old ones that dont, they are a real pain
I’ve trended up from 1/2” on the oldest ones. (Barely enough) to 5/8” (adequate) to 3/4”. (Nice but too new to tell if the extra really makes a difference).

I have another video on that. I’m a better beekeeper than script editor.
Nice quick assembly of a sound pallet. They should last 20 years or more the way it looks.

Agree
Hey Phill. What's the thickness of plywood?
Nice pallets!

@@philbeeman Thank you!
how does the plywood hold up - do you paint it ?
I use end-cut preservative on the edge. Seems to be enough.
