The musical is about the story of the Odyssey. Each song links to the next one. It is separated in saga’s their are 7 saga’s out for now counting each between 3 and 5 songs. Their are 2 saga left to be released. Welcome to the Winions!!
Make sure you do these in order. There are saga’s and they have a specific order. You have the Troy Saga, Cyclops Saga, Ocean Saga, Circe Saga, Underworld Saga, Thunder Saga, and the latest one, the Wisdom Saga. Each saga has 3-5 songs, and these songs all connect into one story, the story of ‘The Odyssey’. The story of the Greek hero Odysseus and his journey home after the Trojan War. Also, it’s best you listen to multiple songs at a time so you don’t forget stuff and get the full context of the story. Most people react to each saga in one video. This is the best musical I’ve ever listened to, I think you’ll love it.
I cant wait for your reaction to Gigi's animatic for "There Are Other Ways" Also the order of the songs for the Troy Saga is 1. The horse and the infant 2. Just a man 3. Full speed ahead 4. Open arms 5. Warrior of the mind
@@icemagiciangh personalmente prefiero la versión de Anna porque toma la idea de seducción y lo lleva al límite (dentro de lo que permite TH-cam claro), además de la forma de ninfa de Circe se ve bien
You really want to maybe do this by Saga rather than song. Animatics help following the plot. But there are just SO MANY . This is probably the list of the most popular
No spoilers other than song names! ^^ Yay! Can't wait to see your reactions for the rest of the songs!! I would recommend Gigi's animatic for the next song Just a Man, the same artist so the story follows through (they actually reuploaded both because they are designed to be together). For the third song, Full speed ahead I would recommend wolfy the witch, they have a very nice and clean style and the expressions are great. For the fourth song, Open Arms definitely mircsy (pronounced merchy), their art style is one of my favorites and its so silly and upbeat. For the fifth and last song of the first saga (the Troy saga) Warrior of the Mind, I would also recommend Mircsy as they draw the new really cool character that is introduced so amazingly. They also did a similar thing that gigi did and continued the story between the songs. Love you and welcome new winion :D
Okay so to give you a bit of information about it all, EPIC: The Musical is a concept album for a musical that is a retelling of the Odyssey. The musical is made by Jorge Rivera-Herrans, who is also the voice of the main character. There are some deviations from the source material and artistic liberties, but for the most part it's decently accurate to the myths. In total, it is going to be comprised of 40 songs, which are being released as 10 'sagas' (each saga is around 3-5 songs). Currently, 7 of the sagas have been released, with the 7th being released at the end of august. EPIC itself is just a concept album at the moment - although the creator has more recently commissioned animatics for parts of the musical, mostly the newer sagas. However, there are so many really good fan animatics (like the one you just watched) by really talented creators which is the best way to experience the musical. There isn't really one single channel you can watch for all EPIC songs. There are some that have made quite a few animatics, such as Gigi (who is personally my favourite), but to watch all of the songs you need to watch from a lot of different channels. There isn't really a definitive best animatic to watch for each song - everyone will have differing opinions on it as there's just so many options. You should be able to find a lot of different playlists that people would have made of their personal choices of animatics. I made a playlist of animatics which I thought were both really cool but also were the most accurate to what's happening in the musical and helped show the story the best to someone new to it. You could use that if you wanted, or find a different playlist, or just maybe ask comments in each video of whose animatic they want you to watch next? I'd say the most important thing for you when reacting to EPIC is to make sure you react to all of the songs in order. You are currently in the 'Troy Saga', and the next song is called 'Just A Man'. Gigi also made an animatic for it as previously mentioned, and to my knowledge it's the most popular one for it and so I'd definitely recommend that be what you react to next. EPIC: The Musical is so cool and really well made and you're gonna love it. Everyone behind it is so talented, and there's clearly so much passion that has been put into it. Here's a fun fact about it which I think is just so cool (wow I'm using that word a lot but anyways); each character has their own instrument. Do with that information what you will :D If you use the playlist I made, then a couple of things: firstly, gigi reuploaded the first and second song of the musical as one video because new versions of the songs were released, and that's the one I added to the playlist. If you use that playlist, your next reaction would be starting like half way through the first video in the playlist. Secondly, I've only added animatics up to and including the 6th saga (tho I might add more in the future). That is because the 7th is still quite recently released and I haven't watched many animatics of the songs yet, but also because the 7th saga had a lot of animated visuals that were commissioned by the creator of the musical and shown on a livestream of when the 7th saga was released. I personally recommend watching those for the 7th saga at least, maybe the 6th saga as well but there are a lot less animated visuals, and more just text of the lyrics on screen for it. Anyways hopefully that was some informative yapping, I hope you enjoy EPIC!! I also just wanna say that I love your content, been watching for around like 7 months - your vibes are just immaculate and your channel description is very much accurate
Ximena’s ‘No Longer You’, and DuvetBox’s ‘Thunder Bringer’. I approve XD Have you seen the newest ‘Underworld’ animatic? It’s by someone named Falperio, and the really pulled at the heartstrings
Heres a list of all the songs of each released saga in order Act I Troy Saga: • Horse and the infant • Just a man • Full speed ahead • Open arms • Warrior of the mind Cyclops Saga: • Polyphemus • Survive • Remember Them • My goodbye Ocean saga: • Storm • Luck runs out • keep your friends close • Ruthlessness Circe Saga: • Puppeteer • Wouldn't you like • Done for • Other ways Underworld Saga: • The Underworld • No longer You • Monster Act II Thunder Saga: • Suffering • Different Beast • Scylla • Mutiny • Thunder Bringer Wisdom Saga: • Legendary • Little Wolf • We'll be fine • Love in paradise • God games I suggest to watch each saga in one video like, the finsh off the troy saga in one video then Cyclops saga in another and so on, its just so the events that happens in the sagas are fresh in your mind so you can pick up on more and its just funner to watch that way 😊🌸
Love your reactions. Watching your face slowly go from joking smile (6:16) to grim realization (6:45) is why I love watching reactions to this. To flesh out some things I haven't seen from others comment yet: - Epic: The Musical, as the name implies, has been composed as a wholly sung musical or a quasi-operetta. Getting it to stage is, I think, the ultimate goal. - It's being released as a collection of concept albums on streaming platforms. Each album consists of 3 to 5 songs and is referred to as a saga. - While artists like gigi, mircy, WitchyWolf(?), and many others have created animatics, Jorge has commissioned some specifically and are considered cannon. - You'll notice some similarity in the characters between artists, this is because 1) Jorge has said what the character should look like or 2) they've been designed to look like their VAs
So glad to see you reacting to this. Epic: The Musical is an adaptation of the Ancient Greek epic the Odyssey which takes it's name from the protagonist Odysseus, King of Ithica. It's the story of his journey after the events of the Illiad in which he played an important role (Troy the movie you mentioned is an adaptation of the Illiad for film). His trials and tribulations on his journey back to his kingdom to reunite with his wife Queen Penelope and his son Telemachus. Odyssey in English has become basically a byword for great journey/long wandering/adventurous voyage so you know him making it home is gonna be interesting. Odysseus himself is one of the more interesting Greek mythological figures imho up there with Medea and Heracles. His whole deal is outwitting and tricking his foes to gain an edge, more of a trickster rogue type archetype than a lot of the ancient heroes. Epic: The Musical is divided into two different Acts and several different Sagas. The Sagas are groupings of between three and five songs which follow smoothly on from each other and focus in on a specific part of Odysseus journey. The Horse and the Infant is the first song in the Troy Saga which comes to an end with Warrior of the Mind. The Sagas still sometimes end on cliffhangers but generally I'd recommend reacting to each song in a Saga close together if you can. Imo you'll just have a better time that way. It's like how some shows like Arcane have episodes that you're meant to watch together for the best experience. So far the Troy, Cyclops, Ocean, Circe, Underworld, Thunder and Wisdom Sagas have been released in full. But there are two Sagas and ten songs which haven't been released yet. But ofc they might be out by the time you work through everything that's already been released.
Epic the Musical is based on the Odyssey by Homer, Jorge the creator does take some creative liberties but it’s overall Odysseus story. It’s devided by sagas, I recommend watching in order and with fans animatics to not get lost in the story. I love this musical a lot so I do hope you keep reacting to it!
I didn’t know you were doing Epic, and I am so beyond excited. Gigi’s playlist is of their work, not of all the songs. (I have a playlist, should you need any help). The musical is broken up into sagas, each usually have 3-5 songs. The first one is called The Troy saga. The songs in the sagas follow each other directly, so I recommend watching a saga as a whole. (Yes, Just a Man follows this song). This is the Troy Saga- 1- The Horse and The Infant 2- Just a Man (keep with Gigi) 3- Full Speed Ahead (best animatic is by WolfyTheWitch) 4- Open Arms (best one is Mircsy) 5- Warrior of the Mind (animatic also by Mircsy) Then comes the Cyclops Saga. We can cross that bridge later, should you continue the story. (Side note- the original creators had to remake all of the Troy saga, into the next saga because their production company screwed them over. Gigi made one combing her Horse and the Infant, and Just a Man together with the new audio).
love seeing you react to this- this is so well done(and sung!) - I relly like the epicness of the songs. This channel has a playlist in the right order available ;) - I think just the first 3 songs are a rearrangement for this part of the story.
There are many animators who made great versions of the musical. Searching would be tough cuz I think different animators did a better job at different songs than others. I found myself hopping between different creators depending on the song.
This is so exciting! EPIC is my current hyper fixation. It's an adaptation of the Odyssey and follows Odysseus on his journey home after the war! It's still being released! The second saga (section) of act two just came out at the end of August. There are a ton of incredible animatics out there, but I would encourage you to make certain you're watching them in order and find animatics for the full length of the song. Here's a quick list of song titles for Act One, in order, just in case: (Troy Saga) Horse and the Infant Just a Man Full Speed Ahead Open Arms Warrior of the Mind (Cyclops Saga) Polyphemus Survive Remember Them My Goodbye (Ocean Saga) Storm Luck Runs Out Keep Your Friends Close Ruthlessness (Circe Saga) Puppeteer Wouldn't You Like Done For There Are Other Ways (Underworld Saga) The Underworld No Longer You Monster
So excited your reacting to epic! I would look up the songs names and order to make sure you go in the right order. Also some animatics only do a part of a song and not the full one, so if you react to animatic make sure they have the full song. The guy who makes Epic is named Jorge, and for some songs he asks different people to make animatics for songs and livestrwams them, so those would be the "official" animatics, but all are pretty good
These types of non-animated videos are called animatics. They're used like blueprints to showcase and plan out the direction and pacing for the full animation. For this reason background details and characters will sometimes appear very simplistic since the purpose of this type of work is to communicate the feel and work needed for the finish product. Fan-animatics tend to be a lot more well-done and have lots of detail given that they don't have a deadline unlike professional animatics but the fact that the animatic is still engaging is a good sign that the person is making good composition and directing choices to not need full animation to keep an audience engaged. That and the music is wonderful too.
You're on a roll now with Amazing Digital Circus and now Epic. As others have already said, it's usually best to react to each of the sagas rather than one song at a time (though obviously this one is fine solo as a 'testing the waters' kinda thing). Fair warning, you will probably find yourself hooked after a few songs, and finding you want to watch it all in one go.
Okay so for a quick explanation on how this is, there are gonna be 9 total sagas, only 7 of which have been released at the moment, and each song leads into the next so for hindsight here is the list of sagas (and future sagas) and their songs as a form of Guide ^w^ Troy Saga 1. The Horse and the Infant 2. Just a Man 3. Full Speed Ahead 4. Open Arms 5. Warrior of the Mind The Cyclops Saga 1. Polyphemus (sorry if I spelled that wrong I am shit with big names in mythos lmao) 2. Survive 3. Remember Them 4. My Goodbye Ocean Saga 1. Storm 2. Luck Runs Out 3. Keep your Friends Close 4. Ruthlessness Circe Saga 1. Puppeteer 2. Wouldn’t you Like 3. Done For 4. There are Other Ways Underworld Saga 1. The Underworld 2. No Longer You 3. Monster (there’s also an April fools version of this song that Gigi animated that I recommend watching for a good laugh) Thunder Saga 1. Suffering 2. Different Beast 3. Scylla 4. Mutiny 5. Thunder Bringer Wisdom Saga (most recent release) 1. Legendary 2. Little Wolf 3. We’ll be Fine 4. Love in Paradise 5. God Games Vengeance Saga (not released yet) 1. Not Sorry for Loving You 2. Dangerous 3. Charybdis 4. Get in the Water 5. Six-Hundred Strike Ithaca Saga (also not released yet) 1. The Challenge 2. Hold Them Down 3. Odysseus 4. I Can’t Help but Wonder 5. Will you Fall in Love with me Again
I would LOVE to see you react to all of the sagas! Unfortunately, Gigi hasn't animated all of them (that I saw?) but there's plenty of playlists you can pick through. I have a personal one I made that I prefer but I'm sure others can give their input on their favorites ^-^
Oh please PLEASE continue reacting to this!!🥺 I absolutely love this musical and your reactions, would be a delight watching you experience this journey!
Epic is a musical segmented into albums by saga. Troy Saga, Cyclops Saga, Ocean Saga, Circe Saga, Underworld Saga, Thunder Saga, and Wisdom saga are out so far. Total run time for all of them put together is a little over an hour. It’s Jorge’s retelling of Homer’s The Odyssey. I think there’s 2 more sagas left to be released and the latest one has only been out for less than a month (Aug 30).
The writer also plays Odysseus. His father makes a cameo as Hephaestus later on and his mother is the voice for Odysseus’s mother when she appears. One of my favorite voices so far though has to be Luke Holt as Zeus. They all do amazing though and I love every song so far.
omg im so happy you're watching this!! you're going to love it!! also just some basic info to help, the musical is made by jorge rivera herrans (or jay) and he voices the main character odysseus and the musical follows the events of the odyssey. though jorge did take some creative liberties with the story telling. the musical is separated into sagas which have about 5 songs each, the first one is called the troy saga and we are still waiting for the last two sagas to come out. also fun fact!! each character has their own instrument, for example odysseus' instrument is either an acoustic guitar or electric guitar depending on his mood :D i hope u enjoy the series!!
This is a musical about the Odyssey (with a few fun altercations). It’s split into sagas and it follows Odysseus, the King of Ithaca, on his journey home and the obstacles he has to overcome to do so. And of course, what’s a good musical without having to reevaluate your morals? 😂 It’s one of my favorites, and I’m so glad you’re reacting to it!
really cool to see you react to this ^^ no doubt you've already got some comments about viewing order, personally I'd take it saga by saga, they're all part of an overarching story but those are kind of the chunks of story you're meant to take in at a time. As for saying this is like Hamilton, you're kinda right tbh. Epic definitely skews more mythology than history, and the creator takes more liberties with dramatic pacing and what/when events happen, but both musicals star the person who wrote them in the leading roles and use a wide variety of genres to tell a story. You commenting about like, 'when does someone become evil' is definitely something that's touched on imminently, in fact I'd say it's one of the running themes of the whole show, so pretty cool you identified it so early lol Hope you react to more of this, very cool vid
Yes, I would really like to see your reaction to EPIC The Musical! After this song you can watch the next animation by ´gigí’, Just a Man, and continue with other animators the remaining Sagas and song cycles. I highly recommend watching the animations ‘mircsy’ with the songs Open Arms, Warrior of The Mind, Poliphemus and Survive. It’s incomparable. Her animations continue one another, and it’s very interesting to watch.
YESSS!!! I first got into this musical through reactions like this (Specifically Mortius, love that guy) and I cannot wait for you to see everything that happens in the story. Idk what's in the playlist, but there are some cut songs with their own animations I would also recommend checking out (Most famously, Your Light, which I believe would've replaced Open Arms, the 4th song, so it should be watched after that one if you watch it at all)
WolfytheWitch's first just a man is still a masterpiece that makes me cry, I suggest watching that animation continuing Epic the musical, there's acts, which are split into sagas (story arcs) and it's important to do them in order, there's playlists that are in order thankfully 😅
Oh, Wolfy’s is definitely heartbreaking, but Gigi’s follows each other directly. That’s why id recommend Gigi’s for a first time watch through. (And to get a view of a certain something in the mirror).
"If we just have a bunch of mythology, sign me up dude" I have good news for you Matt. We get half that mythology we know from the original story this is an adaptation/ based off haha. Also I've watched SO many Epic reactions and I rly found your reaction entertaining haha. "I think you gotta chuck the baby, I dunno what to tell you"
You should probably go by saga rather than singular song. It enhances the experience listening to them back to back since the songs connect into each other. My recommendation for the first saga (Troy Saga): -The Horse and the Infant (gigi) -Just a Man (gigi) -Full Speed Ahead (Wolfythewitch) -Open Arms (Mircsy) -Warrior of the Mind (Mircsy) Also! The first two sagas were rerecorded after these animatics came out, so i would suggest taking a listen to the revamped versions too :) Im loving your content, thank you ❤
EPIC is an adaptation/retelling of The Odyssey! It follows Odysseus as the main character (of course) and both his mental and literal journey to get back home to Ithaca. The musical is completely sung-through, so no worries about missing stories in between the songs. The musical has 2 acts, which are split into 9 sagas, which have about 3-5 songs each. Think of it like: Act = season Saga = chapter Song = episode The first Act contains: *The Troy saga* with: The Horse and The Infant Just a Man Full Speed Ahead Open Arms Warrior Of The Mind *The Cyclops saga* with: Polephemus Survive Remember Them My Goodbye *The Ocean saga* with: Storm Luck Runs Out Keep Your Friends Close Ruthlessness *The Circe saga* with: Puppeteer Wouldn't You Like Done For There Are Other Ways And ends with *The Underworld saga* with: The Underworld No Longer You Monster Then the second Act contains: *The Thunder saga* with: Suffering Different Beast Scylla Mutiny Thunder Bringer *The Wisdom saga* with: Legendary Little Wolf We'll Be Fine Love in Paradise God Games *The Vengeance saga* (not yet released) And finally, *The Ithaca saga* (not yet released) If you want my opinion on how to react to this series, I would suggest watching each saga per video, as the sagas have songs, lietmotifs, and themes that carry into each other, and you might forget plot points if you wait too long between them.
I legit squealed seeing this video 😂. Epic the Musical is definitely worth the watch. In my opinion the best animatic for the next song is also by Gigi called Just a Man. People usually react to the entire saga (or arc) in one go. The first arc is 5 songs. Pleaseeee keep reacting to this musical!!!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Im so excited to see you react to this! EDIT AFTER WATCHING: So EPIC: The Musical is created by Jorge Rivera-Herrans (who voices the main character Odysseus). It follows the Odyssey, which is Odysseus' journey home after the end of the 10-year Trojan war. There are 9 total sections (called Sagas, that are split into 3-5 songs a piece), 7 of which are out, and the show itself is split into 2 Acts (roughly 2 hours of total listening time). Each Saga follows a specific part of Odysseus' journey. I hope you react to the other songs/animatics (the animatics are all fan-made, but they do help tell the story in a visual manner).
YES!!!!! THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!!! I have hyperfixated on EPIC for so long and i am always looking for more reaction channels covering it... so to see a channel i already watch start to react to it, i am so HYPED!!!!
Im so happy you gave this a chance! I commented on one of your vids hoping you’d pick it up! To answer one of your questions, yes, the next part does pick this up right where it leaves off! It is in fact a chronological series that starts from the End of the Troy War to Odysseus’s voyage home(or trying? to get back home to his wife) the next part is “Just A Man” also from Gigi, and if you feel you want to continue on because that parts only 3 mins, you can continue on to “Full Speed Ahead” (still in chronological order though it leaves a question unanswered purposefully) by WolfyThe Witch. “Open Arms”. By mircsy (3:17) . Then “Warrior of The Mind” also by mircsy (3:54), and BAM. That’s the first saga all done, (and I promise, there are no misses) In less than 15mins with a hook leaving you wanting more. Enjoy! The story only gets better and the voices and cast are amazing. Edit: Whishful, who also left a comment here has a very good playlist of all the animatics in order as they said! Although the very first link has the first and second songs combined into one video so you’d have to skip ahead to where this one leaves off!
Yessss another Epic reaction, i live for these. I really hope you continue the series. The show is broken up into sagas (think of it like chapters) the songs in each saga kind of go with each other so I recommend watching a saga at a time instead of song by song, but you do you ofc lol. I can put a link to a playlist of all the songs in order with animatics if that would help?
thank you so much for doing this, this musical is by far the best one ive ever heard!! there's some things you might want to be on the look for while listening to the songs because they add to the story and are really interesting to think about when you hear them :) (NOT SPOILERS) 1. certain songs, lines, and phrases have themes that are repeated throughout the musical, placed in very specific spots. 2. every main character has an instrument that represents them. 3. every time a human is singing and they have background vocals, those background vocals are always real people. however, if one of the gods is singing and they have background vocals, those are not real people. that is just the gods being so powerful that they can defy the laws of the music and manipulate it to their will. 4. jorge is very purposeful with the choices he makes in every song. i really hope you enjoy this musical!! you're one of my favorite people to watch when it comes to reaction content
Yey EPIC!! Listening to a whole saga in one sitting might be nice for you, the songs often lead directly into each other, so it may be easier to connect the story. The animatics often makes it easier to follow, there's a lot of good ones but there for sure are favorites for each song
YESSSSSS, Im so excited to see you do this! This is basically the Odyssey as a musical (with creative liberties). For animatics, there are some playlists that you can find with the best ones, but they aren't necessarily canon. Different artists have their own interpretations, so take it with a grain of salt. My go to for animatics are gigi, wolfythewitch, and mircsy. More and more artists are joining the party, though, so there are a lot of options!
Welcome to Epic the musical. You are a member of the winions now. If you've never read the Odyssey then you're in for a ride. I do recommend watching per saga rather than per song. Not all of it is out yet, but as of now I think we have another 2 or 3 sagas left to go.
So excited to see you react to this! I'm sure you're going to get a lot of messages and ideas about what animatics to react to next, and most people are using Gigi for the next song. I'd recommend once you get to Just a Man, even if it's just by yourself, to watch both Rochi and Wolfy the Witch animatics of Just a Man. Gigi's might be better for the continuation of the story, but I think those other two really capture the difficulty of the decision for Odysseus and it's potential issues for others
I want to point out that the playlist you mentioned doesn't have all the songs and the animatics don't necessarily cover the entirety of those songs (i.e., a song might be 3 mins but the animatic only covers 1 minute of it), so just be wary of that if you continue with the animatics and be sure you listen to the full songs :D
Yeah I've seen a bunch of reacters make this mistake. The main one is in the Circe saga fwiw, Matt. Make sure you check the video looks about the length of a full song before starting recording.
Yes! Epic the musical and Legend of Vox Machina ! Also Gigi is a excellent animator, there are actually a bunch of talented animators who make fan animations for Epic!
You'll get a few comments recommending some animatics over others (Ruthlessness, the fourth song of the Ocean saga has three major Animatics people will prefer, but I would argue Gigi is the best for storytelling reasons), but overall the fact you've joined the Epic Community is the best part. In general animatics are preferable to just the songs as most animators will include some behind-the-songs information that may not be obvious in the song itself (Jorge "Jay" regularly discusses via tiktok his thought processes when making the songs and answers some questions about the layout of the potential stage & directions he has planned out). Also Jay is the voice of the main character in addition to being the composer. Now for some fun things: Each character has a signature instrument that plays when they're on screen. Additionally, the complexity of the instrument indicates the godly powers the character might possess. As for music cues, there are some very specific motifs buried in the songs (such as one the main character has for himself, and one that means "danger is nearby"). Keep an ear out and have fun finding them in the music. Personally this is my Animatic list (The first song is actually the first two songs re-released so you've seen half of it. It also includes one cut song That I think is cool, and one joke song Jay made that the epic community regularly references as a meme): th-cam.com/play/PLFDXgWZyk2d23cr2txdHbRSrbxG4qlhby.html&si=1q-iiW5yQfhcAPcl
Matt: at 8:10 "What are you supposed to do?" Me: Tell the gods to shove their decree where the sun don't shine! That pathetic pantheon of posers were gonna make sure the baby knew his lineage even if he was raised far from those lands. THAT IS SO VINDICTIVE! But I hope you enjoy the musical Matt! Make sure you watch them in order. People in the comments have posted the order of this saga.
Watch these 2-3 episodes at a time, it makes the story telling much easier to follow and remember. The first two episodes go together, I'd recommend rewatching this one when you film your reaction to episode 2.
I am so happy to see you react to these! EPIC The Musical is a MASTERPIECE DUDEEE!!! And yes, it is greek mythology. The story The Odyssey, more specifically. You might wanna do these a few songs per video, or a whole saga per video, if ya want to understand the story better and have consistency. Hope you enjoy your ride through this epic journey my dude!
This is a very good time for you to jump into this musical, because the Wisdom Saga *just* came out, and I believe Jorge Rivera-Herrans has said there's two more sagas/albums coming to finish the story of The Odyssey
I recommend watching the hole first saga in one shot (because there is 7 sagas for now), each saga has about 5 or 6 songs so it won't be too long either... Hope this helps, I love your content you are doing great ❤
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH EPIC I would recommend watching these either in full sagas or in groups of 2-3 songs, usually the shorter story arcs last for a couple songs. I'm sure someone has a playlist of animatics for you, but just in case, lmk if you need one! 😊
I'm happy to see you reacting to this!!! You're in for a ride. Also it makes sense it reminded you of Hamilton. That was a big inspiration for the creator of Epic. There are animatics for every and but the animatics are by different people so you'll miss a lot just looking at Gigi's. If you want to look for a playlist, make sure it has 29 or 30 videos in it. 29 if it uses Gigi's updated animatic combining the first two songs, 30 if the first two are separate. I've got a full playlist if you want one that has all the songs available right now. No matter what version you go with in some songs, some people will say you should have reacted to a different animatic. If you're up to it you could react to multiple animatics to get everyone's preference in, but obviously that depends on what's best for you and your channel. I definitely recommend for the first few songs The Horse and the Infant - Gigi Just a Man - Gigi or Wolfythewitch Full speed ahead -WolfytheWitch Open arms - Mircsy Warrior of the Mind - Either Wolfy or Mircsy Can't wait for you to continue and welcome to Epic!
OHHHH YESSSS!!!! IM SO EXCITED OH PLEASE LISTEN TO THE WNITRE MUSICAL *IN ORDER* YOU CAN SEE THE ORDER IN MULTIPLE PLAYLISTS OR JORGE’S CHANNEL (the guy who WROTE, MADE, AND SUNG Odysseus in the ENTIRE musical
Just a man is the next song and almost all of the songs are back to back, if you catch up before the vengeance saga, I would suggest going to Jorge's channel for the next live stream he includes exposition between songs that explains when time skips occur and features animatics of various creators
Don't worry, you're about to be bombarded with all the info you need😂 And this is indeed an AMAZING story! FULL OF MYTHOLOGY (un)fortunately😂 Jorge Riverra, aka Mr. Jalapeño, turned the story of the Odyssey into a musical! This was the fist part in the Troy saga (which is also the first saga, so you're good to go😂 And I'm glad you picked Gigi's animations for this, they're amazing!) Yes, 'Just a man' is the next one! The order of the sagas is: 1. Troy saga 2. Cyclops saga 3. Ocean saga 4. Circe's saga 5. Underworld saga 6. Thunder saga 7. Wisdom saga (recently released). Each character has their own instrument, in Ody's case it's a guitar (sometimes an electric one)! Some playlists don't have all the songs/ the full versions of the songs, so watch out for that! I'm sure someone will give you a full playlist in the comments (i would, but i genuinely don't know which one is the right one😂). Enjoy the rollercoaster of emotions!! :D
"If you defy a god ..." Laughs in ancient greek and then cries in EPIC But no, seriously, please do continue, it's a very good musical and the fandom is so fun and wholesome, you would not believe how wonderful it all is. And Jorge is a genious, be sure to remember melodies as each character has their own motif, the instruments that represent them and the story is told in such an enchanting way! Also, I suggest you try and get the Wisdom Saga saved from the release stream since it's full of amazing animatics as Jorge envisioned the story to go. Either way, just make sure to follow the order of the songs for the whole thing to make sense since they follow the events of each other practically immediately.
theres a very specific playlist that if you dont watch those exact videos by differnet artists. the fandom will send a giant wooden horse to your hous then jump out and kill you in your sleep.
SO Gigi has rereleased Horse and Infant as well as Just a Man using the... "updated" vocals that were released sort of recently. Sadly I don't think any of the other animatics have gotten this treatment but the newer versions are better. Oh I should specify, the two songs are released as a single video for the updated version and Just a Man is indeed song 2.
"This reminds me of Troy."
He says while watching pt 1 of the Troy Saga.
I cant wait for your reaction to Gigi's animatic for "There Are Other Ways"
Also the order of the songs for the Troy Saga is
1. The horse and the infant
2. Just a man
3. Full speed ahead
4. Open arms
5. Warrior of the mind
Or… imagine if he watches Anni’s 😂
REALLY? We have 7 sagas now and the one animatic you're excited for is the spicy one lol? 🤣 Nah tbf he does get a bit flustered sometimes, it's cute.
@@felixhenson9926that’s one reason I hope he watches Anni’s 😂 I don’t even know if he could make it through the first line without having to pause
OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE UR REACTING TO EPIC!!! Trust me, you're going to love this, I'm pretty certain the story is just your style
Oh god, they got to you too, don't they? Be careful, EPIC hype is highly contagious.
You say that like it’s a bad thing!
No spoilers other than song names! ^^
Yay!
@@gloopthemighty7165 thank you for the recommendations! I may need to hear this for the “next song” in each reaction xD
Another reason to watch Mircsy's Warrior of the Mind is that it visually connects to their Open Arms animatic
Do with that information what you will :D
If you use the playlist I made, then a couple of things: firstly, gigi reuploaded the first and second song of the musical as one video because new versions of the songs were released, and that's the one I added to the playlist.
I approve XD
Have you seen the newest ‘Underworld’ animatic? It’s by someone named Falperio, and the really pulled at the heartstrings

Love your reactions. Watching your face slowly go from joking smile (6:16) to grim realization (6:45) is why I love watching reactions to this.
To flesh out some things I haven't seen from others comment yet:
- Epic: The Musical, as the name implies, has been composed as a wholly sung musical or a quasi-operetta.
5:27 a few other reactors do check out other popular animatics after they catch up which is always an option
This is the Troy Saga-
1- The Horse and The Infant
2- Just a Man (keep with Gigi)
3- Full Speed Ahead (best animatic is by WolfyTheWitch)
4- Open Arms (best one is Mircsy)
5- Warrior of the Mind (animatic also by Mircsy)
Then comes the Cyclops Saga.
Here's a quick list of song titles for Act One, in order, just in case:
(Troy Saga)
Horse and the Infant
Just a Man
Full Speed Ahead
Open Arms
Warrior of the Mind
(Cyclops Saga)
Polyphemus
Survive
Remember Them
My Goodbye
(Ocean Saga)
Storm
Luck Runs Out
Keep Your Friends Close
Ruthlessness
(Circe Saga)
Puppeteer
Wouldn't You Like
Done For
There Are Other Ways
(Underworld Saga)
The Underworld
No Longer You
Monster
OMG FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have followed this and Jorge since he started this. Soooooooooo happy seeing you join our ranks ❤❤❤❤
Okay so for a quick explanation on how this is, there are gonna be 9 total sagas, only 7 of which have been released at the moment, and each song leads into the next so for hindsight here is the list of sagas (and future sagas) and their songs as a form of Guide ^w^

I would LOVE to see you react to all of the sagas! Unfortunately, Gigi hasn't animated all of them (that I saw?) but there's plenty of playlists you can pick through. I have a personal one I made that I prefer but I'm sure others can give their input on their favorites ^-^
Anniflamma, WolfeytheWitch and Ximena Natzl are both also great!
It's here!!!!!!!! Welcome to my own hyperfixation PURGATORY. And I totally get the ADD mind wipe
omg im so happy you're watching this!! you're going to love it!! also just some basic info to help, the musical is made by jorge rivera herrans (or jay) and he voices the main character odysseus and the musical follows the events of the odyssey. though jorge did take some creative liberties with the story telling. the musical is separated into sagas which have about 5 songs each, the first one is called the troy saga and we are still waiting for the last two sagas to come out. also fun fact!! each character has their own instrument, for example odysseus' instrument is either an acoustic guitar or electric guitar depending on his mood :D i hope u enjoy the series!!
YEEES! i recently got hyperfixated on this musical and I'm just scrambling for reactions to it!!
You commenting about like, 'when does someone become evil' is definitely something that's touched on imminently, in fact I'd say it's one of the running themes of the whole show, so pretty cool you identified it so early lol
Hope you react to more of this, very cool vid
WELCOME TO THE WINION HORDE
Literally just became obsessed with this musical and checked your channel to see if you'd covered it, what great timing
Oh my stars yessssss, Thank you this is so exciting welcome. One of us one of us! Cant wait until we get to wet Hades!
Too early for the in jokes lol. But same
Yes Just a Man is the next song. Hop on board homie. Mr. JALAPEÑO musical is indeed EPIC
"If we just have a bunch of mythology, sign me up dude" I have good news for you Matt. We get half that mythology we know from the original story this is an adaptation/ based off haha. Also I've watched SO many Epic reactions and I rly found your reaction entertaining haha. "I think you gotta chuck the baby, I dunno what to tell you"
Mattables: I did absolutely zero research on this, no idea what I'm even doing here, but fuck it. We ball.
You should probably go by saga rather than singular song. It enhances the experience listening to them back to back since the songs connect into each other.
My recommendation for the first saga (Troy Saga):
-The Horse and the Infant (gigi)
-Just a Man (gigi)
-Full Speed Ahead (Wolfythewitch)
-Open Arms (Mircsy)
-Warrior of the Mind (Mircsy)
Also! The first two sagas were rerecorded after these animatics came out, so i would suggest taking a listen to the revamped versions too :)
Im loving your content, thank you ❤
Oh my god im soooo happy you started reacting to this musical PLEASE KEEP ON GOING it gets better with each album
Think of it like:
Act = season
Saga = chapter
Song = episode
The first Act contains:
*The Troy saga* with:
The Horse and The Infant
Just a Man
Full Speed Ahead
Open Arms
Warrior Of The Mind
*The Cyclops saga* with:
Polephemus
Survive
Remember Them
My Goodbye
*The Ocean saga* with:
Storm
Luck Runs Out
Keep Your Friends Close
Ruthlessness
*The Circe saga* with:
Puppeteer
Wouldn't You Like
Done For
There Are Other Ways
And ends with
*The Underworld saga* with:
The Underworld
No Longer You
Monster
Then the second Act contains:
*The Thunder saga* with:
Suffering
Different Beast
Scylla
Mutiny
Thunder Bringer
*The Wisdom saga* with:
Legendary
Little Wolf
We'll Be Fine
Love in Paradise
God Games
*The Vengeance saga*
(not yet released)
And finally,
*The Ithaca saga*
(not yet released)
If you want my opinion on how to react to this series, I would suggest watching each saga per video, as the sagas have songs, lietmotifs, and themes that carry into each other, and you might forget plot points if you wait too long between them.
I hope you continue reacting to this. Epic the Musical is so good.
"If you defy a god, it's gonna probably be worse for you, no?" Oh... Just wait... I'm so excited you're doing these.
The Hamilton comparison is pretty accurate, Jorge took inspiration from it when writing this (and just like Lin, he cast himself as the lead)
I’m obsessed with this whole musical
Yes, I mentioned it recently, my prayers were read. 😃
Yessss another Epic reaction, i live for these. I really hope you continue the series.
The show is broken up into sagas (think of it like chapters) the songs in each saga kind of go with each other so I recommend watching a saga at a time instead of song by song, but you do you ofc lol.
I can put a link to a playlist of all the songs in order with animatics if that would help?
thank you so much for doing this, this musical is by far the best one ive ever heard!!
there's some things you might want to be on the look for while listening to the songs because they add to the story and are really interesting to think about when you hear them :)
(NOT SPOILERS)
1. certain songs, lines, and phrases have themes that are repeated throughout the musical, placed in very specific spots.
2. every main character has an instrument that represents them.
3. every time a human is singing and they have background vocals, those background vocals are always real people. however, if one of the gods is singing and they have background vocals, those are not real people. that is just the gods being so powerful that they can defy the laws of the music and manipulate it to their will.
4. jorge is very purposeful with the choices he makes in every song.
i really hope you enjoy this musical!! you're one of my favorite people to watch when it comes to reaction content
Yes, "Just a man" is the next part of the story :)
Damn, I swear now all the reactors I follow are getting inducted into the Winion army one by one
I'd honestly recommend reacting to 1 Saga per video. Each song in a Saga kind of leads directly into the next.
I just fell down the Epic rabbit hole a few weeks ago. But I wish I had known I could have gone the reaction route! XD
OH COOL! I’m so excited to see you reacting to this! ❤
It also includes one cut song That I think is cool, and one joke song Jay made that the epic community regularly references as a meme):

OMGGG I LUV THIS MUSICAL
Also istg u and Jay (the guy who wrote the musical) would be best friends
Matt: at 8:10 "What are you supposed to do?"
Me: Tell the gods to shove their decree where the sun don't shine! That pathetic pantheon of posers were gonna make sure the baby knew his lineage even if he was raised far from those lands. THAT IS SO VINDICTIVE!
But I hope you enjoy the musical Matt! Make sure you watch them in order. People in the comments have posted the order of this saga.
My god, love your reactions and I love this musical, thought you'd never react to this, please watch the whole thing!
I’m so glad many people are joining us in the Epic community!!! I’ll be here for more epic content love to see more!
oh boy, here we go. Looking forward to the rest of these!
Oooooh, someone new in the Epic fandom!!
Watch these 2-3 episodes at a time, it makes the story telling much easier to follow and remember. The first two episodes go together, I'd recommend rewatching this one when you film your reaction to episode 2.
Wolfy the witch has my personal favorite animatics for this musical.
Hope this helps, I love your content you are doing great ❤
Just a man is a direct follow up and I can’t wait to see you watch it
I didn't know I needed you reacting to this! Oh I'm so hype for this series!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH EPIC
I would recommend watching these either in full sagas or in groups of 2-3 songs, usually the shorter story arcs last for a couple songs.
I definitely recommend for the first few songs
The Horse and the Infant - Gigi
Just a Man - Gigi or Wolfythewitch
Full speed ahead -WolfytheWitch
Open arms - Mircsy
Warrior of the Mind - Either Wolfy or Mircsy
Can't wait for you to continue and welcome to Epic!
I need more Epic reactions about as much as I need oxygen, so seeing you starting this is so exciting!!
The Epic fans rise!!!!
To keep him watching this masterpiece!!!
OHHHH
YESSSS!!!!
IM SO EXCITED
OH PLEASE LISTEN TO THE WNITRE MUSICAL *IN ORDER*
YOU CAN SEE THE ORDER IN MULTIPLE PLAYLISTS OR JORGE’S CHANNEL (the guy who WROTE, MADE, AND SUNG Odysseus in the ENTIRE musical
HELL YES HELL YEAH BANANA BREAD AT WORK DUDE. You should listen to at least 3 per video. I am so happy with this
Just a man is the next song and almost all of the songs are back to back, if you catch up before the vengeance saga, I would suggest going to Jorge's channel for the next live stream he includes exposition between songs that explains when time skips occur and features animatics of various creators
Epic the Musical is awesome!
WE GOT ANOTHER ONE, WINIONS! FULL SPEED AHEAD!
Don't worry, you're about to be bombarded with all the info you need😂
And this is indeed an AMAZING story! FULL OF MYTHOLOGY (un)fortunately😂
Jorge Riverra, aka Mr. Jalapeño, turned the story of the Odyssey into a musical!
This was the fist part in the Troy saga (which is also the first saga, so you're good to go😂 And I'm glad you picked Gigi's animations for this, they're amazing!)
Yes, 'Just a man' is the next one!
The order of the sagas is:
1. Troy saga
2. Cyclops saga
3. Ocean saga
4. Circe's saga
5. Underworld saga
6. Thunder saga
I'm so happy, you're reacting to so many things I love😭💕
"If you defy a god ..."
Laughs in ancient greek and then cries in EPIC
But no, seriously, please do continue, it's a very good musical and the fandom is so fun and wholesome, you would not believe how wonderful it all is.
Yayyyy welcome to the Epic Family!
theres a very specific playlist that if you dont watch those exact videos by differnet artists. the fandom will send a giant wooden horse to your hous then jump out and kill you in your sleep.
I CANT BELIEVE YOU STARTED REACTING TO ALL BEST STUFF ILY SM
Fuck yeah! I hadn't considered suggesting Epic. You're gonna love it man.
Great choice
SO Gigi has rereleased Horse and Infant as well as Just a Man using the... "updated" vocals that were released sort of recently. Sadly I don't think any of the other animatics have gotten this treatment but the newer versions are better.
Oh I should specify, the two songs are released as a single video for the updated version and Just a Man is indeed song 2.
