I wish she would do a Sundays inspired album. Her voice suits this music style perfectly
beatopia is really sundays inspired in a lot of ways
she always says one of the biggest inspirations for her music are the sundays!
Her early stuff is a lot more like this, albums like Patched Up and Love Worm especially
yes I wish the same !!
she just did.
For someone who loved this song when it came out originally, this cover is absolutely magic :)
Very nice, she’s got a nice voice though I do feel that it lacks that jangly element that really comes out at the end of the song. I hope she’ll do some more sundays covers.
it's decent, not "magic"
Right on.
@@alexwestconsulting Decent if you are the parent of one of these kids. Sounds very pale compared to the original and very awkward at 3:10. I guess the Sundays always own their song, surprise surprise surprise.
@@christopheguillaume4032 that’s about right. My problem with covers is that they obfuscate the original artists with (usually) a lesser quality version. Maybe it brings attention to the original, but mostly it just becomes material for the person covering it to the end that they effectively own it as far as most listeners are concerned. How many of her young listeners will go listen to the original now? Prob not many. No disrespect to Beatrice Laus though. I know she actually appreciates those old tunes unlike someone like Miley Cyrus who’s just hunting for material to annex.
The Sundays were such an enigmatic band. Haunting, tender and simultaneously uplifitng. Dare i say this young prodigy could reintroduce the Sundays to younger audiences and inspire a reunion????
I can hear some of the sundays influence in her music so I’m obsessed with her doing a cover
This makes her so much cooler. I just learned about her a couple weeks ago and the fact that she's covering one of my favorite bands and knows about them is amazing.
literally one of my favorite artist covering my favorite band like whattt
Perfect cover! Some of her songs already reminded me of The Sundays so I'm delighted to hear this beautiful cover.
Which songs?
Yeah, which?
I think it’s mainly her voice that sounds like The Sundays
@@allyson-- animal noises, pictures of us, you lie all the time, to name a few
This rendition is soulless to my ears. A great tune who's lyrics are not understood yet by a young and inexperienced girl. I love that she is singing it though, and wish her well.
Sooo crazy, the first time I heard Beadaboobee I totally thought of The Sundays! Been waiting for her to do this. So glad she finally did, absolutely flawless
this is one of my fav songs OF ALL TIME and i love bea!! i was so happy when i found this cover😭😭 i love her voice
The Sundays is one of my favorite bands. I started liking Bea when I heard "She Plays Bass" and thought "wow this song sounds a lot like The Sundays." And now she does an amazing cover by them, showing that they really influenced her music. She has great taste and makes beautiful music.❤❤❤
i love this so much. this song really suits her voice and her 90s vibes 😍
Fantastic performance, The Sundays are one of a kind
One of the most beautiful songs imo.
It's one of the better attempts I've heard. But having said that, Harriet's voice cannot be duplicated, not even within reason. Either you get it or you don't. Her annunciation, her tone and variation, her breathing and emphasis, the way she hung on notes or drew them out, her voice quivers . . . . she was literally the best female vocalist ever.
saw this cover back in 2023 and its so nice to know that shes a fan of the sundays, you never see enough of them.
back in 2023 was only months before you wrote your comment lol. you make it sound like it was decades ago
@ feels like it
Fun cover! ❤ Everyone going thru a breakup in the 90s played this song on repeat!
Made me feel relieved! Dedicating this song also to a messy situationship that I need to let go. Life goes on ☺️
that and The Cranberries
Sundays first album “Reading, Writing and Arithmetic” is great as is their third one “ Static and Silence”. Check them out!
Don’t leave out Blind though! Songs like Goodbye, Love and Wild Horses will have you coming back over and over 🤎
Finally - someone playing the main chords correctly, well done that girl !
the sundays songs really suits her voice!!!
The Sundays are awesome
the sundays omg
yess !
Beautifully done, especially with the pace of the lyrics.
This was really nice! It's great to hear this younger generation recognizing this era of music.
the original line is "people i see/weary of me/showing my good side" and she sung "wary of me." funny how a single word being slightly different can change the entire story of the song
Hmmm I misheard that line all this time
What’s the difference between
@@alphonseelric2514weary = tired, wary = to show caution, being on edge
this makes me happy
Her voice fits the Sundays style very well!
I love this cover
So pretty. So talented. Bravo
This is a match I did not see coming, but I'm all here for it!
absolutely going feral . ive been waiting for this cover from her FOR AGESSS
i love bea so much
OMG u smashed it! Thanks for the beautiful cover!! I like tunes even before this cover 😎
i always come back to this
One of my favorite songs ever ty for this 🙏🏼😢
Wow an excellent rendition of one of my favorite songs
People I know, places I go
Make me feel tongue-tied
I can see how people look down
They're on the inside
Here's where the story ends
People I see, weary of me
Showing my good side
I can see how, people look down
I'm on the outside
Here's where the story ends
Ooh, here's where the story ends
It's that little souvenir of a terrible year
Which makes my eyes feel sore
Oh, I never should have said the books that you read
Were all I loved you for
It's that little souvenir of a terrible year
Which makes me wonder why
And it's the memories of the shed that make me turn red
Surprise, surprise, surprise
Crazy, I know, places I go
Make me feel so tired
I can see how people look down
I'm on the outside
Here's where the story ends
Ooh, here's where the story ends
It's that little souvenir of a terrible year
Which makes my eyes feel sore
And who ever would've thought the books that you brought
Were all I loved you for?
Oh, the devil in me said, "Go down to the shed"
I know where I belong
But the only thing I ever really wanted to say
Was wrong, was wrong, was wrong
It's that little souvenir of a colorful year
Which makes me smile inside
So I cynically, cynically say the world is that way
Surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise
Here's where the story ends
Ooh, here's where the story ends
Thank you!
in in my the sundays and bea era and i found this cover of one of my favourite songs by them ❤❤ love it

I'm not sure anyone can pull off Harriett's sweetness without it turning to saccharine.
Holy freaking WOW.
Wild horses 🐴 please.
It’s rare that a cover equals or even bests an original. This is that song..
Uh, no. Nice but please.
wtf
@@alhollywood6486 what you mean original is original but this cover was closed to the original
Amazingg
❤️
Well done. Miss Harriet though.
I love the Sundays- no one can ever match Harriet Wheelers voice and presence but this is a decent cover...
Bea reminds me so much of Harriet Wheeler and Juliana Hatfield. Much love.
Damn she really hasnt changed in 40 years, sounds the same
Huh?
@@alphonseelric2514 she was mistaken for an artist from the 70's on googles home page
