Other fun fact, the Minotaur they fought is named Ferdinand. He’s an official Justice League member (or was when they had a massive roster a few years back). He didn’t fight… but he WAS the official chef, and would make vegetarian meals (he wouldn’t cook meat) that even the gods would salivate over.
The Amazons in DC, in most continuities, don’t actually give birth. They are the same Amazons from the beginning of the island, granted immortality by the gods. Sometimes they lose their immortality if they leave the island, other times they just have it indefinitely.
I think in one comics they have some well or something which has soul of dead amazons which later becomes reborn as child and in one comic they reproduce by leaving the island and kill the mens, then if it is boy they kill them or sell them for weapons.

This movie is the most we've ever seen or heard of Wonder Woman's villains and lore being animated. For being one of DC's big 3 characters, they really dont like making series or games based off of her.
I just find that moment so interesting that Diana's mother teaches her to do the right thing regardless of the price and then gets pissed off when she tries to do the right thing regardless of the price
Wonder Woman is such an important figure and female icon who revolutionized comics, and that is why we even have female superheroes today that derive from Wonder Woman as a character. Diana isn't just a warrior; she's a princess and ambassador of her home island, a paragon of peace and love, a compassionate friend and a goddess of truth. Wonder Woman is a character who deserves so much more recognition and love than Batman or Harley Quinn gets, and I desperately hope that with her upcoming game on the way by Monolith Studios, she can get her own animated series, more animated movies, more live-action movies because she is Wonder Woman. Even though I do think this movie is not as memorable as other DCAMU movies, I still very much appreciate how it gave focus to many underrated Wonder Woman characters and her equally underrated rogues gallery of villains people forget about, like Cheetah, Silver Swan, Giganta, Dr Poison, Dr Cyber and so many other cool villains out there like Circee, Dr Psycho, Blue Snowman, Ares etc...
Doctor Cyber is basically a friend of Veronica Cale that got their mind stuck in a robot body. Doctor Cyber wasn't anyone, just herself. The field work thing was just a joke that both of the more support leaning characters weren't a fan of being in the middle of a battle lol
Did Veronica Cale ever get a storyline or arc? I thought the main arc with her as a villain (the one this movie is based off) got cancelled or something. I remember being really into it then no resolution.
Also fun fact, this version of Cheetah (New 52) was able to outspeed Flash and one shot Superman in their first encounter. It was very early on in the League, and Flash hadn’t fought in a jungle and Superman hadn’t really encountered gods yet, but still. Aquaman ended up beating her by tackling her into the Amazon and swarming her with piranha and holding her while she was being bitten and drowned.
Giganta is one of most the iconic and legendary Wonder woman enemies in history just like cheetah, poison and silver swan. She has the power to grow to enormous size with the strenght to match that size. And Veronica Kale is basically the female version of Lex luthor to Wonder woman.

Wonder Woman's combat ability is a great balance between Superman and Batman. The problem with Superman is that he's so strong that he doesn't really need much training in hand-to-hand combat. A simple punch or literally ramming his invulnerable body against an opponent is enough. That's why if Superman's powers are dampened by kryptonite or red sun radiation, he'll be at a disadvantage if he fights Batman, because Batman is trained in multiple kinds of martial arts. Now let's look at Wonder Woman. She has powers like Superman, but most probably not as strong as what kryptonian physiology can give you. She's immortal, has super strength, can fly, has some connection magic and/or divine powers due to her being related to gods, etc. But also, she's raised in a society of immortal warriors with vast knowledge of different ancient cultures, so she's also well-trained in hand-to-hand combat and doesn't solely rely on her super powers.
Fun fact, Comic Superman has actually been trained in how to fight. Man basically built his own Dragonball time chamber to get a crash course in boxing from Mohammed Ali while under red sun lamps in one continuity. He may not be as trained or as experienced as Diana, but he knows how to effectively apply force. Also, he is by no means stupid.
If I remember it correctly, originally the entire point of the Minotaur (Mino's bull) inside a labyrinth was in order to keep the Minotaur inside the maze (iirc it was a "cannot kill him cannot let him free" kind of deal)
Glad to join you guys on your journey of DC appreciation. Some other movies that you should check out that are DC but not official DCAMU but the larger DC Universe Original Movies. These are stand alone stories. _ Green Lantern: First Flight (2009) - Green Lantern origin story - Batman: Under the Red Hood (2010) - Great mystery story involving Joker - All-Star Superman (2011) - What would superman do with his last days alive? - Green Lantern: Emerald Knights (2011) - A bunch of shorter stories about different Green Lanterns - Superman vs The Elite (2012) - This hits at the core of who superman is - Justice League: Gods and Monsters (2015) - What if Justice League were supernatural monsters?
The minotaur in the original myth COULDN'T just charge through the walls in the maze. When he hit a wall, he bounced. His father, King Minos, feared how effing strong the minotaur was so much that he had the smartest man in the world build a Labyrinth that was impossible to find your way out of without a key and was too strong to smash through so the king could lock the beast away from the world. The constant twist and turns kept the Minotaur from being able to build up a full head of steam with a charge, though it didn't keep him from just ripping people limb from limb.
Originally Wonder Woman couldn't fly, at least until the 1980's. And her Invisible Plane (not yet a jet) was another product of Amazonian utopian technology.
I really want them to animate New 52 Wonder Woman, that was essentially Game of Thrones but with Greek Gods. That's the comic where Diana got the ability to fly and where we find out she's the daughter of Zeus. She also has a cool god mode that makes her tougher than Superman.
The purpose of minotaur in a maze is because it all stems from ancient Greek mythology, the story of Daedalus and Icarus. Wonder Woman is the Greek/Amazonian daughter of Zeus. Therefore, her story lines will be Greek based. If you are referring to D and D, the same thing applies. All creatures and monsters in the monster manuals are derived from mythologies that tie each creature to specific characteristics and planes.
28:50 you misunderstand the purpose of the Labyrinth. In mythology, Daedelus built the Labyrinth to CONTAIN the Minotaur. He's as strong a a bull, yes, but he isn't (in mythology, anyway) strong enough to bash through walls.
It’s funny, I didn’t know that the way the Wonder Woman movie started was, consistent. I mean I should expect it now, that’s kinda how it works. Trevor crashes on the island and Diana leaves with him.
Justice League animated series, Justice league unlimited, batman the animated series, batman beyond, superman animated series and static shock should all be on your list of reactions.

@Sorts Stupid The Amazons are technically immortal, they don't really age but they can die in battle ⚔ but when they do need to "replenish " their numbers they will sneak on to any ships 🚢 that have men an....well it's like you guys said in the video, death by snu-snu 👀 As for the identity of wonder woman father it depends on the continuity. But in most versions of her story it's Zeus.
Thera are some variants about wonder woman and the Amazons stories, but if you want a little more context about it, you could watch the Wonder Woman animated movie from 2009. Not everyone likes that version, but it might give you a bit of context about the character and her family origins. And if you want a few of the best Dc movies or series to react besides this storyline, here are a few. Movies Superman vs The Elite Batman year one Batman The Long Halloween part 1/2 Batman vs Dracula Series Batman the animated series Superman the animated series Batman Beyond Justice League/ Justice League unlimited The Batman (2004)
Wonder Woman's ability to fly varies depending on the continuity. For example, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman in the DCEU doesn't fly. That confused me a lot because the Wonder Woman I grew up watching was the one from the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited cartoons. And that one can fly. And she doesn't have a sword and a shield. Her having a sword and a shield can also vary depending on the continuity. There are versions where the only items she uses in combat are her bracelets, and her lasso. Sometimes her tiara is also used as a throwing weapon.
@@cis22 You're not missing much. I tried to give it a chance but... serious downgrade. But hey, she got one good movie with her as the star under her belt, which is more than can be said of the rest of that live action DC Trinity... though less than Mamoa Aquaman's two very solid movies.
There are a lot of DC animated movies that are not a part of this timeline that came out during this period. Check out Superman Unbound or Batman The Doom That Came To Gotham
Funnily enough I watched dcamu, justice league, and young justice all around the same time and with overlap and I would get confused which versions of characters we were dealing with lol. Don't listen to those people! I'd say by now you guys have put in enough work to be fans!
I guess you should also know that not only is Wonder Woman the best fighter in the JL, but she is the most powerful ... more powerful than Superman even. Her bracelets that she uses to deflect projectiles, are actually God Dampeners, they keep her from her true OP potential. If they ever come off, she is unstoppable and more powerful than Zues himself. In one comic they came off and she killed Superman easilly.
When it comes to the most powerful JL member, it’s a forever lasting debate on who it is. Let’s just all agree: Superman, Wonder Woman andGreen Lantern are the most powerful ones.

There's a comic version that shows how Amazons reproduce, they basically board the passing ship full of sailors looking all naked, do the thing and then kill the sailors afterwards. Nine months later they keep the baby girls and dispose of baby boys. Hephaestus takes the boys and teaches them how to be blacksmiths in order to save them from certain death after birth.
That is not canon ,I dont know who came up with that horrible idea but this version of the story is literally against everything that Amazons stood for decades I'm glad that they decided to make this story not canon
It's an interesting story but the need for reproduction goes against Amazon's immortality. I think the Greek myth of the Amazons origin comes from 5 goddesses teaming up to restore the souls of women killed by men and making an island for them to live. Or the one where all Amazons are created by Ares which is why all of them are warriors.

"...made from clay, and blessed by Zeus..." , is the daughter of Themyscira. Diana...
This and the other Wonder Woman animated movie......are one of the best and man excited for that upcoming Amazon series...sad it will be a prequel
Why sad? It is said to be an adaptation of wonder woman historia which won will eisner award. Eisner awards are oscars of comics
Glad to join you guys on your journey of DC appreciation.
Some other movies that you should check out that are DC but not official DCAMU but the larger DC Universe Original Movies. These are stand alone stories.
_ Green Lantern: First Flight (2009) - Green Lantern origin story
- Batman: Under the Red Hood (2010) - Great mystery story involving Joker
- All-Star Superman (2011) - What would superman do with his last days alive?
- Green Lantern: Emerald Knights (2011) - A bunch of shorter stories about different Green Lanterns
- Superman vs The Elite (2012) - This hits at the core of who superman is
- Justice League: Gods and Monsters (2015) - What if Justice League were supernatural monsters?
The minotaur in the original myth COULDN'T just charge through the walls in the maze. When he hit a wall, he bounced. His father, King Minos, feared how effing strong the minotaur was so much that he had the smartest man in the world build a Labyrinth that was impossible to find your way out of without a key and was too strong to smash through so the king could lock the beast away from the world. The constant twist and turns kept the Minotaur from being able to build up a full head of steam with a charge, though it didn't keep him from just ripping people limb from limb.
Here the ones that want that this group reacts to Transformers Prime :)
YES!
I've honestly been loving these DC reactions
25:38 this, breaking the metal door, like absolute nothing 🔥👏😆
The purpose of minotaur in a maze is because it all stems from ancient Greek mythology, the story of Daedalus and Icarus. Wonder Woman is the Greek/Amazonian daughter of Zeus. Therefore, her story lines will be Greek based. If you are referring to D and D, the same thing applies. All creatures and monsters in the monster manuals are derived from mythologies that tie each creature to specific characteristics and planes.
Daym i hope young justice gets a 5th season
28:50 you misunderstand the purpose of the Labyrinth. In mythology, Daedelus built the Labyrinth to CONTAIN the Minotaur. He's as strong a a bull, yes, but he isn't (in mythology, anyway) strong enough to bash through walls.
24:02 Crack an egg on it!! KAKKAAA!!! 😌🤌😂🫶
It’s funny, I didn’t know that the way the Wonder Woman movie started was, consistent. I mean I should expect it now, that’s kinda how it works. Trevor crashes on the island and Diana leaves with him.
Spiderman loses Uncle Ben, Diana leaves home for a world she does not know. Thus it has been, and thus it will be.
Justice League animated series, Justice league unlimited, batman the animated series, batman beyond, superman animated series and static shock should all be on your list of reactions.
After the DCAU, you guys should check out some of the stand alones! Superman Batman Apocalypse is one of the best!!
34:25 awwh so nice look at him 😭✨️
After dcamu there will be tommorowverse
Start that with the short movie Constantine house of mystery whoch acts as a epilogue of dcamu and proluge of tommorowverse
Followed by 2 more short movies
Kamandi and blue beetle

Superman man of tommorow
Justice society World war 2
Batman the long halloween part 1 and 2
Green lantern beware my power

Justice league war World

Part 1 2 and 3
43:55 shes so fkng badass, i love this movie and the big last fight, its so good. Great to see 🙌🙌🙌
6:35 damnn 🔥🤌✨️ 21:05 ookay wooww 39:38 thats wildd 40:45 😭🤣🔥 thats insaneee
0:45 To me it just means you guys are casual fans of DC. Not like some of the more hardcore fans. Nothing wrong with either ofc
It’s actually 5 more movies dark apocalypse ,Constantine house of mystery, justice league war world, then the 2 crisis movies
@Sorts Stupid The Amazons are technically immortal, they don't really age but they can die in battle ⚔ but when they do need to "replenish " their numbers they will sneak on to any ships 🚢 that have men an....well it's like you guys said in the video, death by snu-snu 👀
As for the identity of wonder woman father it depends on the continuity. But in most versions of her story it's Zeus.
can't wait for you guys to watch the tommorowverse since it takes place after these movies
Movies
Superman vs The Elite
Batman year one
Batman The Long Halloween part 1/2
Batman vs Dracula
Series
Batman the animated series
Superman the animated series
Batman Beyond
Justice League/ Justice League unlimited
The Batman (2004)
Superman VS the Elite and Batman vs Dracula are HARD recommends. Also Emerald Knights.
Okay, guys, I know this is going to sound sorta stupid, but I'm new here. What's with the nerf gun and the gong?
If one of us calls something before it happens we shoot the gong for pre watch allegations
@@sortastupid Thank you! 🤗
8:19 her dad is big daddy Zeus
In Themyscera, they’re all immortal so no need for reproduction.
"My man" only answer allowed
I'm so excited for apokolips war!!!
19:10 yooo this reminded me of Beast Boy 😭😭
You put a Minotaur in a maze to imprison it...
Once you finish the DCAU.. you can watch the elseworlds stories like: Wonder Woman (2009), Batman Year one, Justice League Gods and Monsters, etc
You guy's haven't seen the Wonder Woman movie with Gal?😤
Weren’t there 4 of these guys? What happened?
He was fired about a year ago
Unrelated to the video, but where did boom get that hoodie?
I really like that one guy’s Zoro tattoo.
@@cis22 Gals Wonder Woman can fly. She pretty much only does it in WW84, though.
@@CommanderSteelTrap My bad. Haven't watched that one.
44:34 in heels too 🤌 xd
By the way, it’s called man’s world because we’re all huMan beings that’s why. Most people on thymascara are demigods.
How old where you when you noticed Wonder Woman just a mystical clay face lol
I hate that this is the only Wonder Woman movie in this continuity. I would've loved to see more of this story.
You've seen the Amazons before in flashpoint. Fighting with wonder woman against the Atlantians.
Suicide squad hell to pay is also a canonical part of this universe so you'd want to watch that one as well.
3:33 if i remember correctly thats not entirely wrong
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but in the comic Amazon's Attack didn't they turn The Purple Healing Ray into a weapon?
Not Amazon's Attack, but I do recall weaponized Purple Ray being aimed at OMACS. Infinite Crisis? I think?
You guys should react to Phineas and ferb
Ruff said Bree didn't like that show lol. Also, he said they'll more than likely never watch that for the channel. (Said it on a live stream, I think am Epic Mickey stream with Bree)
How do the Amazons know war if they never leave the island and no outsiders ever reach their island. It’s no wonder every time it shown the island is completely under siege and defenses are failing.
They train. A LOT. But they're often the Worf like when the Green Lantern Corp is deployed en masse. Their job is to get wrecked to show how strong an opponent is.
@@bthsr7113 Just once it'd be nice if they arrive to hear the queen tell them to ignore the mess as she jumps over a a pile of 70 foot tall cyclops corpses, various other greek monster remains strewn about the obvious battle damage. When Wonder Woman / Guests give a questioning look the Queen flatly dismisses it as a rather minor confrontation, before adding in a passive aggressive tone that her daughter is too busy playing with foreigners to help her own people, or even call. so what did you want to ask for? Just once show that the island can handle itself without Dianna, and has it's own stories and problems unrelated to the outside world.
I mean...i get the people and not wearing shoes but like remember glasses, first time you get a piece of glass in your foot you start wearing shoes more
Guys, be honest, the name fits when you examine all the problems caused, and troubles in it... 'Man's world' is said with disdain...
3:45 Waaaaiiiiit a minute. Is that.... (quick check on IMDB) Well well well, if it isn't my favorite Floridaman turned CIA agent turned small time freelancer.
If you've got the time, Burn Notice is a good show.
I’ve been waiting 2 months for some SpongeBob yall forgot about the bob named sponge im sad😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
i think you guys would love archer
I would love to see you guys reaction to transformers prime
Mfers are not ready for apocalypse war😂
Next up, Apocalypse War! Can't wait!
Really waiting for it been so many days
have yous watched the live action version of this from the DC Films ? I really enjoyed that one as well as this Wonderwoman is the best
WONDER WOMAN MOVIE BABY
Trust fans of a community also hate the gatekeepers. I say enjoy whatever tf you want.👍
MORE DC BILLY!
Yall should watch generator rex
u should definitely watch crisis on two earths
You should watch the 2009 movie, Redline by studio Madhouse. It will change the way you compare movies forever.
Oh boy next movie u lot r for a surprise😂
There's a comic version that shows how Amazons reproduce, they basically board the passing ship full of sailors looking all naked, do the thing and then kill the sailors afterwards. Nine months later they keep the baby girls and dispose of baby boys. Hephaestus takes the boys and teaches them how to be blacksmiths in order to save them from certain death after birth.
That’s N52 only!
Which… uh… this might be? Uses N52 designs and characters but it’s a post crisis storyline so… idk
That is not canon ,I dont know who came up with that horrible idea but this version of the story is literally against everything that Amazons stood for decades I'm glad that they decided to make this story not canon
That’s no longer canon
It's an interesting story but the need for reproduction goes against Amazon's immortality. I think the Greek myth of the Amazons origin comes from 5 goddesses teaming up to restore the souls of women killed by men and making an island for them to live. Or the one where all Amazons are created by Ares which is why all of them are warriors.
